Mango Haze - Indoor Organic Coco LED

Yeah I wasn’t sure at the time if enough pollen made it to the ladies but almost every plant has buds that are filled with seeds.

Very excited to have so much F2 to explore after I test these out 💨 and see which has my favourite effects! I hope the seeds mature as nicely as my Super Silver Haze seeds did!! 🤞

So after the past week or so, seeing how great the Shark Shocks were doing compared to my Mango Haze #7 and then #1 I was starting to question my skills with the hazes.

However it looks like I was right in both my diagnosis because since transplanting #7 to a bigger pot and adding a little extra worm castings she has bounced back quite nicely!! Her colour has improved and she much less droopy! Plus the decrease in light intensity seems to have halted the issue that was popping up with Mango Haze 1 in its tracks. It seems to be back on track and doing well! Will try and hit ya with some photos at the start of week 7 on Monday.
 
Didn’t realize my Shark Shock thread has been getting all the attention. Time for a Mango Haze update.

Quick update: Today is the second day of week 9 in flower and Mango Haze 1 and 5 look like they’re going to be wrapping up this week or next. They’re not the largest of yeilders and have started to fade. Perhaps the lights have been too intense, they haven’t liked the environment or they just don’t have the yeilder quality in these two specifically, but they seem to be smaller buds than the shark shocks in the same area.

Their sister MH7 on the other hand… wow. I’ll let this photo do the talking for itself. 😍! She seems to have the best smell (for my tastes) of the three. She’s a hairy beast and to me, looks like she’s got at least 4 more weeks left… this girl has the potential to be one heck of a yeilder!!

Chopped Mango Haze #1 and #5 today along with the Shark Shocks. The sharks are so freaking beautoful, chunky and frosty they have me tottaly sleeping on MH 1 and 5…

The trichomes MH1 and 5 are cloudy with a few Amber here and there, and all the pistils are brown.. it looks done to me.. I’ve read sativa leaners don’t always throw a lot of amber trichomes.. The buds haven’t seemed to be gaining any size and I’m getting a tad impatient. After chopping and trimming MH5 I have good and bad news. After shaking the heck out of our male (Mango Haze 2) overtop the other mangos to ensure I got enough seeds, it’s clear I was successful in that sense. So many seeds it’s wild. Photo below is just the ones popping out of the buds. Will have a wild amount after the bud is dried and we get the rest out! The bad news, there’s quite honestly hardly any bud that’s not completely filled with seeds, so it might be difficult getting much of a test to see if these F2s are going to be worth exploring.. at least in the near future..

After trimming off the fan leafs and some sugar leaves I definitely like the smell of MH 1 more out of the two. MH5 has a distinct spicey smell to her while MH1 has more of an berry / sweet smell to her! Good news is it has some actual bud to it and a fair amount of trichomes to do with the delicious smell! Smoke reports on both will be in a few weeks. It looks like these two have put most of their energy into creating lots of seeds for my collection! Hopefully I can get a decent test smoke or two out of MH5!

Mango Haze 7 on the other hand is gaining size, haze zero brown pistils (all white) and looks like she could be a 14-16 weeker. Very very excited to try her out eventually and explor her F2 seeds assuming she’s as special as I think she might be

I’ve heard you should let the seeds sit out for a couple weeks up to a month before planting but should I wait to throw these seeds into long term storage / the fridge or can they go in now??

I would let them dry out at room temperature in the dark for a couple of weeks TGTDE.
Excessive moisture is not wanted in long term seed storage.
 
Mango Haze 1 and Mango Haze 5 continue to hang dry as I type. Meanwhile Mango Haze 7 continues to crawl her way to the finish line. Some of her hairs are starting to turn brown but still probably 2:1 ratio of white hairs. Her trichomes also looked like they were surprisingly cloudy last time I checked, but no ambers. Hoping she’ll be done in a couple weeks…what do y’all think??

Today is the second day of Week 11 of flower. If she’s going to take longer than 13 weeks she’d likely need some nutrients right about now… But I’m leaning towards hoping she finishes in 2 weeks or less and letting her get a real nice fade. I cut the lights back to 10 and 1/2 hours on and 13 and 1/2 off and decreased the intensity because I’m pretty sure the brown is light burn cause she’s so stinking tall and humidity has been kept very low last few weeks for the Sharks and other plants…

I think I’m going to roll the dice and bet on her finishing sooner than later.. I’d prefer to not have to give her synthetics now, and flush in a week.. but if you all think she’s a 14-15 weeker I’ll give her a feed every other watering for a week to two.. we’ve come this far.. if she could double her yield with proper treatment in this final weeks I shouldn’t get lazy now!!

The trichomes on the actual bud are almost all cloudy with ambers noticeable on the leafs coming from the buds. I’m confident most pistils will be brown in a week to 10 days and trichomes will be where I want them! Not giving any extra nutes. Crossing my fingers these buds put on some extra weight (and trichomes) in these final days 🤞!!

More and more pistils turning brown on MH7. I’m thinking the plants probably been hurting from a little potassium deficiency, maybe cal/msg for a while and all the damage hasn’t simply been light burn.. but ya live and ya learn. She seems to be putting on a little weight as well as an increase in trichomes these last few days. Hoping the trend continues. I may just have to reveg this gal… I just have a feeling she’s going to be a special smoke.. 🤞

Today marks the second day of the 13th week of flower. This MH7 gal doesn’t seem to have much interest in finishing! Couple bud shots from yesterday and then a coupe macro shots from moments ago. More pistils are brown than white in my opinion (maybe it’s wishful thinking lol) and most trichomes are cloudy with the rare amber here and there. I’m going to be patient and try and wait for 20% amber trichomes, hopefully she’s harvested by next week.

Still have quite a few that are intact. Let most of these brown up and then determine the amount of amber you want. Where are you in light duration? Pull them off to the side if you can.

Look here @Islandgrower I was trying to pretend I didn’t see those clears in hopes of it being done sooner 😂!

Yeah @musashi i think you and Island are right.. probably little longer to go than I had hoped… lights are at 15.5hrs off and 8.5 on.

On the bright side a 14-15 weeker should be a little more special than a 13 weeker, no?? 🙂

I mentioned in this thread or my Shark Shock that I had a small Zkittlez plant going as well. Well, it turns out I pollinated the crap out of it 😂. There’s little to no smokable bud, all seeds because I didn’t let it veg long enough and then shook the heck out of my fruity Mango Haze #2 male overtop! However as I harvest all these seeds out of the near budless plant my hands are just reeking of the most intoxicating lemon candy aroma my mouth is literally watering!! Wishing I let this zkittlez veg properly before throwing her in to flower with the rest of the plants. Anyways.. I was left with 345 (yes I counted 😂) beautiful, mature seeds to one day sort through. I may have to explore this cross sooner than later given how dammm sweet and lemony the zkittlez mother was and how sweet the mango haze father smelt.. could have my dream strain sitting here in front of me.. will have to find out hopefully sooner than later!!
