Afghan Haze #4 Fuck! Is that a spider mite? If so, I got a new house coming courtesy of my insurance company. I could use a new house as this one was built in 1890. Same location though. I like it here. If not a spider mite then I will throw a saddle on it and ride it down Main St. this Saturday night while swilling on a bottle of Old No.7.

Kind of like this except I'd have a bottle of Whiskey. Maybe a six-shooter.

Early Queen #1 Dang it. Forgot the top of the plant! lol What kind of photographer am I? The kind you don't hire! I try to grow some Early Queen each season. This year I made some F2's 🥰

Sara's Secret Stash - Critical Kush
This year's base soil is the soil I have already used in my 2022 grow. Containers were emptied, stalk and roots removed, and soil was set into a pile in my driveway. There it sat for 17 months. Nothing added by me lol nothing subtracted. Weeks of beating sun last summer, 2 Northeast winters. This Spring it looked like a pile of shit, weeds, wild grass, pathogens, spores, who knows what? Got rid of weeds, grass, and roots. Added some used soil from 2023 grow, perlite, potting soil from this years germination, some wood chips I saw laying around. Now I read that's just waterlogged wood. Damn, every year I do it wrong Fuck! lol
Give me enough time and I will get it right and begin to grow nice plants. As I mentioned in last year's thread - "Do not do what I do, It's all wrong!"

2022 Grow The soil in these containers is now in containers growing this years crop. I strongly suggest that you do not try this. Buy a good book on soil and listen to the experts. You will thank me later.

Your grow reports are always a highlight for me here!
Wood chip isn’t wrong it’s a great source of nutrients to both the plant and the living organisms, it makes great soil once broken down but also soaks up a bit of nitrogen while it breaks down so can be quite beneficial especially with haze plants and bucket chemists like myself. I always have a little in my soil or as part of the mulch. I use it through my gardens too especially the old animal bedding it’s full of goodies. Brilliant in compost too.

Oh great, Fish! :) Good to hear about the wood chips. The were some trees felled in my yard so there are some new chips. The older stumps are shedding square/rectangular chips each year. I been using those. Experimenting more than knowing what the hell I am doing. As a betting man...I'll bet these wood chips will be good! lol

Did it just turn Springtime down your way? Bucket chemist hahahaha I like that! Maybe I'll be one too! ;)

Yep spring has sprung. No seed plants for me though this year just a couple of clones here and there gotta move December right in the middle of the season not ideal!

Wow as always @longball 🤩

Considering you don't have a clue about what you are doing, I'd say you nailed it with those plants!
I think I won't listen to your advice about not trying this 😉
You are setting high standards with your bucket chemistry, growloggin' and photographic skills 🙏

Thanks, Mr. Brown! You are quite the grower yourself. I love that 'balls deep' Shit. While I don't understand it, I still love it! Funny about the wood chips lol I guess I'll keep using them til I'm balls deep in wood chips!;)

Keeping it deep

Thanks, pleased420! I did try reading RCC's 'Mutiny on the Botany' or whatever. I had no idea what he was talking about or how it pertained to me. Never made it to Chapter Two. I also have 2 Jeff Lowenfels books that have never been opened. Well, actually I did randomly open one of them - more big words I did not understand. In school there were always a few kids that always had their noses in books. Bookworms we called them. They were book smart but once your pulled their noses out of a book they didn't know a fuckin' thing. Growing, sex, nothing. I don't think they can wipe their own ass without a book or YouTube video.

Keep it simple.
Less reading, more balls deep growing
Less talk, more balls deep growing.

I think that you are doing quite awesome following your own advice, pleased420.

Thank you for the kind words, pleased420! I think the bar for both growing and photography was set by former(?) member 'L33t'. Great Haze grower, esp Nev's, and awesome photographer. Sadly, all his photo's are unlinked in all the upgrades. Otherwise most of his posts on growing and photography are still there. He did post up in a 2019 thread about Kalamata Red and showed a few pictures from his 2008 Kakamata Red grow. Enjoy!

Unknown - most likely either Afghan Haze or Early Queen. I may figure it out. Not a priority. Who knew plants could possibly grow this small? Grateful to have a plant! ;)
Health issues on my end and a new 'soil' mix and feeding regimen has them lacking a bit of nitrogen. Now that they are flowering the N should be fine.🤞

Afghan Haze #4 - Like the others, could have used a bit more N. Should be fine with diet changing for flowering. 🤞

Thanks for sharing @longball 😊
I read the Super Silver Haze and Neville's Haze grows by L33t, before I became a member here. Amazing plants and pictures!
Guess your small plants are still bigger than mine 😁
But anyways, if you need tips on how to grow even smaller plants, you can always ask me for advise 😉
