Another quick update from the project tent.

I have to find an automatic watering system for my bonsais. I was gone over the weekend and when I came back my bonsais looked a little down :(

But 3 hours after watering with a mild nutrient solution they looked healthy again (y)

Does anybody have any experience with a system like this?

Lustige Idee
U want to take cutings from the Bonsai mom or just create Bonsai cannabis?

I saved a bonsai from every MNS strain I grew so far. My plan was to grow them all several times and keep my absolute favourites and use them for breeding. But I have too many MNS seeds to grow and right now I just take cuttings from my bonsais for family and friends.

5 from 8 cuttings developed nice new roots and I put them in bigger pots with a coco/perlite mix and gave them a light nutrient solution with trichoderma and a root booster.

Those vacation watering globes can be handy. Also, I tend to bottom water and only directly wet the top enough to keep top dressings breaking down/leaching into the soil. So when I need a little extra breathing room, I just leave water in the trays. They suck up what they need. Then being that they are in the felt pots, that there is enough gas exchange that a few days or so of that isn't going to hurt anything, and they won't dry out.

Another trick, for outdoor especially, is foliar chitosan. It partially closes the stomata, making moisture loss via transpiration slower. It does other things too, but that is one, that a lot of papers fixate on. You need vinegar or another acid in solution to make it soluble, and it can take a min to disolve. So mix and shake a good bit before you plan on using it. I just get it from BulkSuppliments via Ebay. Pretty cheap really.

Every time I see your screen name "Stuck in the Middle With You" starts playing in my head. Every single time...
