The origins of Haze

Come on Guys......We are all here because of our love for MJ and our admiration for the work that Shanti and Neville have done over the years so we can grow some of the best strains on the planet....Right ???
So why all this bad vibe over Haze......Just be happy that we have the chance to work with such a fantastic strain and it doesnt really matter how it came into existance or into Nevilles hands, the fact is its here and we should just be grateful and keep working to keep it alive and dont let it pass by the roadside like so many landraces have........Cheers K

very true words Kangativa. this forum as always been a nice place since i first joined. if people had a problem with each other then they just put there point across and agreed to disagree. i have never been a big fan of growing haze plant but tried 2 or 3 so far. trouble was they never grow to well with other plant because of there height and no one else really like them here preferring indica & indica x's. so a few for my self wasn't worth the bother. as of late i have been getting more interested in haze strains. but well if getting into haze's result's in threads like this then i think i will just keep any haze grows to my self. this sort of thread is not a place i would take very serious and just makes you not give a dam what any one's saying. i honestly am not bothered who made the first article about haze. i think the trouble here is the haze every one's growing isn't working no more because after a few hazey day's no one can be bothered to argue and bicker. come on people be civil nev's the man when it comes to mns haze doesn't mater how much any of you know he's going to no more. wonder why he doesn't want to tell people and contribute when these threads always end up like this. if you wonted me to take part in finding the origins of haze because i know someone that had something to do with it. i wouldn't even ask them to be part of this mess. by the way i don't before you all assume i do. come on guy's be nice. it doesn't cost anything to be nice and it makes the world a better place more so than even haze's imoa. i could use this thread as evidence at the minute.:o

Yes i do know the story about were Neville collected the haze seeds from and from who but i have never told any one or have i ever posted on what city or date he as in Neville collected the seeds from what i did say was it was from with in the us full stop that is all the info i have ever sed period and i am willing to back what i am saying here with me deleting my account from mr nice seed co and icmag the only 2 sites im active at if i am lieing.

From memory my conversation with l33 took place at pg chat we were chatting about haze and i believe sams bull shit posted we he sed that he alone gave Neville a clone and Neville had broken his ward and made seeds well fact was Neville collected pure haze from with in the us not collected from the dam l33 tried throwing a few city's around and i sed nothing just sed a city with in the us now i am not sure how many city's the us has but i am thinking a lot.

This alone big shows me how good you info and sources are you my friend have got it very very wrong and im far from happy im in fact pist off you are dragging me into this stupidity and stating things that are un true.

this is only an example, please Hempy don't take a gun... but... in this forum there are so many people that know ENGLISH but not romulan... this is romulan. not english. in what way people that know english, and are interested in this topic , but are not into this sort of spoken language may understand what you people are saying if seems like an alien language??????

when has proper english been a requirement to post here? If we need proper guestapo english language police we will pm you zombo....(german accent "please show you proper english credentials pleese" zombo do you live in arizona or texass where amerikan nationalists draw their strength? Taking linguistics for 3 years and knowing multiple languages i learned that english is not structured like other languages with rules...lead can lead...read can be read...meaning different things, a lot of english is tradition...do not be elitist when it comes to english...just enjoy the grow logs from people of all different cultures and walks of life...

my family lived through the genicide of my country not only jews were persecuted and died...grandma was seperated from her parents at age 14 by the germans.... so i did not mean to offend you and am sorry if i did.......but attacking someones english is not a smart move for your second post...lol

Just to make it clear, R from High Times was a well known writer with the initials RR, who used his pseudonym to protect his legit career. And he was a very good writer!

Don't ask me why, but out of curiosity I just read the entire thread about the origins of Purple Haze. Man, you all take this very seriously! Like any story, there is no such thing as the truth, just the truth as each of us sees it. And who, what, where, when and why someone got a seed or grew what strain, there is no need to claim ownership of the Haze. Back in the Seventies, it was a cannabis phenomenon and four decades later, Haze still carries a mythical aura.

The bottom line is that anyone who had the opportunity to smoke the Original Haze, especially the Purple, was very fortunate. And anyone who got to smoke the next few generations was lucky, too. And if those same strains have carried on into new modern varieties, then, it's a blessing for all involved. Life (and progress) marches on.

So rather than arguing about who made history, why not go out and make some more today?

"R" was a brilliant writer. I really identified with his "Ban the Bud" rant in the middle '80s. Afghan Indicas with their chunky flowers were displacing the traditional Sativa imports, and enthusiasts who 'grew up on these Sativas' missed their qualities.

"R"'s Hawaiian adventure was an outstanding first-hand account which I only recently read in a reproduction online. The story, experience, and details were obviously true.

He could also spin a yarn too such as the 'Colombian tasting session' where only those who could distinguish different regions and year of import by taste alone were invited.

If I had time, I would love to find and read all of his HT articles:D

the thread being posted or his latest posting in the thread was no indication to ban him ,it seems unclear as to him being banned imo
