The Nina

LN is the shit!!

I have a hard time trying to figure out if SSH or LN is my favorite as well. It depends on what one I am smoking!

The hazy LN's are definitely something to avoid late night if you desire to sleep on my end - ya'll finding the same thing? Smoke that shit then lay down and the wheels start turning. Super mind fuck but not in the 'noid way. Very pleasant... I will say a beautiful high.

Great party herb. Fire up a fatty and play "Catchphrase" with some friends and just wait for the crazy shit people say !

Good job brother!! Hope you and yours are well.

L, holmes, Ronin :D Howdy, fellers :D

The #1 plant had that killer haze high you guys describe. I trimmed her 10 weeks past first, and pulled ~12wks. DELICIOUS sweet, hazy smell. If I was really on my game, I would have cuts of her. But, if I had kept her, I prolly would have let the cut that I have go. The one I have is prolly a lil more widow expressive than the cuts you guys describe. The high has about as much 'buzz' as my faster SSH, but it LASTS, and the smell is killer. For me, the SSH's (as a group) don't seem to keep me high as long as some of the other plants. The LN's (as a group) seem to keep me high longer than most other plants.

Really, though... SSH's, LaNina, MasterKaze, SuperSpice... I'm so blessed!!!
:D

I Recieved Some Complimentary:rolleyes: ghs El Nino Seeds
Not One Germinated ( Neither Did 20-30 Other Ones Handed Out @ 2007 U.K Hemp-Hydro Expo )
Nuff Said !

Those are some sugar frosted flower you have there Patrick. very well done my friend. Wish I could get my hands on some of them beans. keep up the good work.

Well, you had every opportunity to git yer hands on THESE beans, lol. 7 LN f2's, 4 weeks outta the dirt, vegged in solo's, transplanted and flipped today. 1 runt.

Day 1 will be the first day that they show sex.

Day 1, lol. 3 males showed so far. 1 was the plant that I called 'runty', and it just turned out to be a healthy SQUAT plant. VERY tight node spacing, and the flowers were forming fast. The other 2 males looked good, but nothing 'stand out'. I really don't need another seed project right now ;)

2 confirmed ladies

2 unknowns, but I suspect ladies.
S7305744.JPG

If the unknowns show this weekend (within 48 hrs), I'll stick with today as day 1 for all. If not, I'll split em into "X plant day 1, Y plant day 5" or whatever. They are getting a bacterial tea 2moro, and I topdressed these 4 with castings and guano yesterday.

hey Pat

howz it going man

these La nina's look beautiful

how many weeks does this cut take?

Howdy L :D She is ready @~9+ in soil. Better at 10 weeks than at 9, but not really bigger at 11 than 10 :D This is my first run with her in a hempy, so I'm figguring for ~10 weeks.

Hey, have you noticed that plants seem to want maybe ~10% longer in a hempy or coco setup vs. organics? It seems to me that the buds grow at the same rate, but grow 'longer' in my hempys vs soil. I'm not complaining, cause a monkey with an alarm clock could rock these hempys, lol.

Wakin and bakin with some LN now :D This cut is one of the few that I've found where the flavor increases (rather than 'fades/mellows') in the jar. It just keeps getting stinkier/pissier :D

hey Pat

She is a fast one then.
Oh this is one line I badly want to grow again..I think i fell in love with these hazy girls!

Regarding fastness and medium , well I ve only tried organics in pure soil (with a bit of perlite added) and later on I moved on to Coco/Soil mix . Been growing this way for few years now and really like the results and how easy things are. Never tried to grow in pure perlite or pure coco though as I m happy with results I get and most iportantly I believe growing this way means you need to spend more time for care/attendance/feeding than with soil or soil mixed with coco.

Now hydro is supposed to be faster than soil , never did any side by side tests myself so cant tell from first hand experience..but this is what I have noticed as well by looking at others grow logs. But this applies mosty to indicas and indica hybrids. Much less in the case of sat hybrids and imo almost doesn't apply at all with pure sats .

What I know for sure from my experience is that the more unlimited you grow a plant the longer it may/will take to finish. (This is esp true for sativa hybrids and esp pure sats.) This applies to root restriction as well as feeding 'restrictions'. This is what I ve seen numerous times and I would say I 'm certain about that.

Lemmie explain , in hydro or hempy buckets or similar methods you basically have an advantage that can work 'agaist you' in a sence. With hydro/hempys you give the roots more space and they are more free to move around and grow compared to in a soil medium. This of course helps with final yields as well as fast growth as there are no 'resistance' factors.

But in the case of sativas there is a reason why many good sativa growers seem to prefer soil esp in relativelly small indoor rooms lit with hids. Unimited rootspace seems to make plants finish slower indoors. I have managed to cut down more than a few weeks (same strain same room) just by employing root restiction methods.
The plants in the big pots take average 3 weeks more to finish with a 12-13 weeker line.Of course yield per idividual plant are affected but you can always grow more per light to compensate.

So yeah root restriction can def help one finish the plants faster and I believe this applies to the case of soil vs coco or perlite as well. Meaning that the more easy a plants' roots are allowed to grow in the medium the slower it will take to finish. Soil is a more 'restrictive' medium to grow in compared to coco or perlite and I believe thats why you see the soil ones to be faster than the pure coco or pure perlite grown ones. I ve noticed the more you use root restriction techniques the more you force the plant to avoid stretching as well.

L - Thanks for the response! I was sort of thinking that it was root restriction, and the more regular supply of nitrogen from the bottles vs. in the soil/topdressed castings. I haven't grown in anything bigger than a 5 gallon, and I really can't tell a difference in finish time between the 3 pot sizes that I regularly use (3.4l, 2gal, 3+gal). I deffo try to use the smaller pots to keep my sativa dom ssh from jumping out tha building :D I don't think that this LN is too far behind her in the stretch category, however.

LOL, just about every time I smoke LN, I think "It doesn't get any better than this." When I smoke SSH, I think "Why do I grow anything else."

GS - Nah, bro, I just use the pool table as a photog. studio/trim station. That pool table is a 1" 1 piece slate top, but it has seen better days. It has been in a relatively damp, 'prone to flood' basement for 20 years, so the cushions are pretty weak, and any pressboard underneath (ball return, etc) is soggy. One of the ball return runs is broken, but I can prop it up with an old cue if I want to... The other thing is that I can't have the light on down there after 3 o'clock, or I will get light leaks into the grow room.

Plus, I'm on the east coast. No one comes to my house. If someone DOES have to go in my house for some reason, there is NO CHANCE that they would ever get to see the pool table (5' from the grow), let alone play. Don't worry, I didn't do anything to her that a lil vaccum won't cure :D It is covered with dirt, trim, perlite, trichs, and lil stem/fanstem pieces...

I just checked on the f2's, and they are gonna be very nice plants. FAT ASS stems on stretching seedplants means big things down the road, IME :D

'Ere we are, then!

1 week after first; LN f1 (in the hempy) is 33 days (after flip). Hit them with plant success soluble a few hours ago, and threw some rare earth clay down (~1 tbsp/2gallon bag) just fter the pix. The plant on the top left was topped a few days ago. If I didn't top her, I bet she woulda been over 6' (I helped the stretch by trimming the lowers).

LaNina cut. Not the momma of these f2's, and got her last 'salt' today. One last shot of silicone with pbp. Castings, guano, kelp, plant success, and molasses from here out.

hi pat pat how you doin fella

wats goin on is some bigger boys pickin on you

tell them to come over ear and ill sort them

keep the faith mate

Sheeewwwt... Nobody does it bigger than P.Steezy ;)

Whattap MrMr :D It seems like there is just a ton of negativity over here lately. I haven't seen it like this in the 2 years I've been coming around. It used to be a collection of people passionate about growing (literally and figuratively). It seems like the board (or at least the attitude that it presents) is now dominated by people who are passionate about 'being right'.

Yo, it's a good thing that they limited me to 500 char. in the sig line, lol. I was pissed. :D It's too bad, but I can name 5 noisemakers off the top of my head that are active here, and I can name 5 quality growers off of the top of my head that no longer grow and show over here because of the noise. If it keeps going like this, I'ma look for somewhere else to spend my bandwith.

dude you and B have more of a right to be here than the noise makers they only shout on here because in the real world there shit houses:D

Whattap, Dawn :) Thanks fer the love. I had to put on the angry face for a minute there! Lol, with all of my kind buds, I'm far from an angry starfish :D Just when the tourists come to Bikini Bottom, and start fukking up the vibe for the folks who LIVE here...

Ok, how bout some pix?
S7305852.JPG

S7305853.JPG

The single in the 1 gallon is 40days, and the 2 sharing the 3 gallon are 33 days. I'm looking for 45grams from the single, and over 100 from the 3 gallon. If I don't fukk with them, I should get there. I dropped a bunch of guano on the older plant, and a bunch of guano/rare earth/kelp on the 3 gallon the other day.

The f2's are sort of stuffed int he room, so I'll get pix of them next week. They are CRANKING, with the 2 tallest (the tallest un topped, and the topped plants) ~equal in height, and the same story for the 2 smaller ones.
