The Nina

Whattap, jb's :D

I'ma have to get back to you on the youtube's :p I gotta save the links, and hit em up w/o my restrictor plate... ...er... Proxy :p

Hey run a double gulp. I have a few cuts that I can leave in the 2l pots they are in. ;)

Double gulp it is:)...I will run one of my Hybrid A cuts:cool:...should be pretty interesting...jay:D

JB's, just to head off confusion, I've got some ssh in 2l's, not LN's. :^)

Here are the LN f2's 25days after 1st.

interesting LN f2's

nice phenotypic variety on La Nina:)

the haze female coming through on some plants of La Nina is outstanding:eek:

I hope to make some f2's also eventually. I just started some seeds of a cross between a nice female La Nina and (hopefully non dominant) Etiope Highland male.

Nice fans also, you seem to have everything well-tuned:D

All the best

Hey Skunkha, thanks for stoppin by :^) These are f2's mothered by plants #2 and #3 from earlier. I didn't expect to see so much sativa expression from them, and I don't know whether to chalk it up to THAT much improved environment (medium, temps, new bulbs, etc...) or to the genes that daddy passed. I fully intend to get real busy with these beans (and the #1 f2's that I made with the same daddy) in the summer. the spring is looking like I'll be looking through some G/Sk f2's for a keeper, and the summer will see much more LN f2 action :winkster:

Till then, I have my cut :^D I lied on the last update. I had the larger bukkit just short of 5 weeks (33 days), and they were just short of 4 weeks (~26 days). Lol, I've been using the same 2 year calander since ummm... the end of 07..., and a bunch of my dates got screwey when my stoned ass transferred all of the flip/show/plant dates/ages into a new calendar.

Anyway. From what I have written, I' calling the older LN 61 days today, and the younger one 46 days.

Just a note - the f2's are CRANKING. They want water every 18 hours. I want 60g per plant. We all have wants.

Looking real good

Man I wish I had them babies right now :)

Well grown pat , this lady has escaped me once , I gotta grab some La Nina beans real real soon :)

peace

good transpiration rate

hey Patrick,

the way those LNs are drinking, sounds like great plant metabolism going on. you may yet get 2 ozers/ plant.

have you seen when some plants fill in the side of the foxtailed colas with additional calyxes? The colas look like the shape of an American football and only slightly smaller on the main stem.:D

Chopped an F1 and the first of the F2's today. I would have liked to have taken the F2 another week or so, but it was time.

F1 (cut) 72 days, F2 (seedplant) 60 days after first flower.

3oz from each of these would be awesome ;^)

I'm hoping that this dries to ~2 by itself.

The smells are sweet lemon fuel from the F2. The F1 is the only one that I have (had, lol) in bloom, and I don't have any cuts for myself going. The other f2's SHOULD be coming down in ~2 weeks, but the most sativa plant looks like she wants to really go, so if I can, Ima let her finish properly.

really been following this thread as Shanti recommended a 50%Haze hybrid for my daytime depression and i hear great things about the Nina and how its Hazy as a mofo yet no noids, racy feelings...i love the F2 also and think you've done a great job on both rounds of stock

Groverman - Thanks fer the kind words :^) That cola ended up ~45g. The whole plant was a lil over 2.5oz, and was FIRE. My buddy told me that it had no problem stinking thru a 'twenty bag' style baggie, and he had to leave work to smoke it before it stunk up the office. Lol, that pool table was beat up before I ever set up my trim/picture station! It's in what was for ~20 years a VERY damp basement (no 440cfm fan to keep things moving, lol). The cushions are pretty much shot, as is the ball return system. The 1" 1piece slate top is worth something, but that's about it. Hey, I got air hockey and foos ball down there too! Make me an offer, lol.

sbd - Thanks for stoppin by! :^) I'm a haze guy, but not a 'sativa snob', and I REALLY like the LaNina's as a group. Burning on some of that f1 cut now ;^)

Ok, here's the last 3 F2's @ 68 days after first. I'm chopping next weekend, so I'll pull em all for pix then.
L2R: Sativa leaner, Sexy purple plant, PRACTICAL plant. Your eyes are OK, the picture sux, lol.

Sativa leaner all cropped low.

Sweet chewable vitamins (aka purple smell, lol)

Lower on the practical plant.
S7306097.JPG

The purple plant was done a week ago, the practical plant should finish ~on time @ 11+, and the sativa leaner looks like she will be a week or so early.

Whattap, red :^). They ARE fire, lol. Been smokin on the ballast dried samples, and whoo-baby!

Chop day! ~90 days 12/12, and 74 days after 1st flowers.

REALLY loose buds here.
S7306108.JPG

MONSTAH! I have a bowl of this going now - skunk/musk with a kicker of HEALTHY human dookie.
S7306109.JPG

I'll get up some bud pics after I trim.

A couple of my airy LN's was some of the best smoke I ever had. Not for a commercial grow as they were pretty ugly. I broke some out when a Jamaican grower friend came to visit and he laughed (he is almost 60 and has grown his whole life)and offered to mail me seeds until he smoked it. I brought some NL dom SSH and Devil the next day for my ego's sake but he couldn't deny the high of my airy "calyxes on a stick"!!

Whattap, Ronin :D Everytime I stay up past my bedtime and catch squidbillies, I think of you ;)

Yeah, the f2's are KILLER. They seem to be a lil more sativa influenced than my f1, but I don't like to compare seedplants and clones. The f1 clone had CHUNKY buds as a seedplant. The most sativa leaning plant would have been commercially viable for me if the clones grew like the seedplant. She was over 100g, and had more time to go. Had I run her 'too long' (had I had say $$ another 5 weeks, lol) I'm confident that she would have gone well over a quap.

Yo, recycled soil is hard to keep in the sweet spot, but when I do, it just SHITS on any other method that I've seen. These plants were very heavy for me, and the smoke is top-shelf. I'll prolly drop more LN f2's (the same batch, and a batch using LN #1 f1 as the mother, same father) in a few months. I gotta start getting my outdoor ready.

Pif. ;)
