I have been nervously waiting for my blue letter from customs to turn up in the mail.
As time goes by it looks less likely that my parcel was seized.
It's now looking like it was stolen at my local post office where I used to work.
I made the mistake of telling an acquaintance who also still works there about it.
This highlights the need to never trust anybody.
Especially people with flashy motorcycles, tattoos and a non functioning moral compass.

What I'm noticing after a few days is that the testers have really thick, waxy, glossy leaves. I usually only see that in heavy indica lines like Afghan or Northern Lights, although NL5 × Haze can show it too. It actually makes perfect sense to select toward the Northern Lights side in this cross if the aim is to lock the flowering time down to around 10 weeks.
I'm curious to see how they develop on your end.

The temperature dropped to ~28°C and RH is ~55-60%
All plants grow fast and strongSo far my favorite is 'SSH x AC #3' (left back corner)

They are 18-22cm high I started to water them with kelp tea every 2-3 days
My favorite so far is 'SSH x AC #3'
As soon as the lowest branches grow big enough I'll take cuttings and switch to 12/12

Today I took 1 cutting from each plant, cut off the lowest fan leaves and switched the 'SSH x AC' testers to 12/12

Small update.
I made a cut of the 18 plants 3 days ago, I will use these to flower out in around a month.
The mothers and fathers are planted all together in a pot and are being forced flowered to reveal their sex (I will post a pic this weekend).
This time I will probably cut every female and let the males flower out to see if there are any special ones in there.
SSHxAC could have great potential to use in further seedmaking.
Here are the cuts, the vents are 1/3 open since yesterday and they seem ok so far!
I saw a variety of leaf shapes and different smells but most are fairly discreet.
I got a feeling that there will be
among these.

I took cuttings from both of the female testers while they were already into flowering. They rooted great—I already posted a photo—and they're growing now.
At the moment they're going through reveg process. The new growth has single-blade and three-finger leaves, which is pretty normal. They're under 24 hours of light.
My question is: would you top them now to encourage more side branching, or would you just leave them alone until they're fully back in vegetative growth and producing normal five-finger leaves again?
I'm not worried—they'll survive either way. I was just wondering if anyone has any tips on what the best approach would be.
I'm grateful for any advice or tips you can share.

Flower Day 43 for the SSH × AC. Both plants are looking great, and the buds are putting on weight every single day.

I just couldn't bring myself to cut the top bud off Big Mama. Because of her height, the main cola is unfortunately sitting a little too close to the LEDs now, so it's not getting the most optimal light. Still, I'm going to let her grow as she is, even if it's not the ideal setup.
The Silver Haze is now on Flower Day 50. In my last update, I accidentally wrote Day 53, but it should have been Day 43. Sorry about that!

Everything is prepared for the show
I hope the soil dont disapoint..
This version of the soil is more careful not to burn the plants.
Plagron ProMix is the basic carrier of the mixture. It is light, airy, easy to work with and is not bloated with nutrients.
Worm castings add fine organic nutrition, humus, microbial life and improve the ability of the substrate to hold moisture and nutrients.
Pumice improves aeration and drainage. It helps the roots have oxygen and the substrate does not collapse.
Bio charcoal works as a long-term buffer. It can bind some of the nutrients and microbial life to itself and gradually hold them in the substrate. It was mixed with Worm castings and watered before mixing.
Plagron Supermix is the main organic nutrition of the mixture.
Zeolite works as a mineral reservoir and buffer.
Guanokalong Seaweed Powder is more like a biostimulant.
Overall, it is a mixture that should be airy, lively, stable and not overcooked.
It will be supplemented with Biobizz JuJu Nutrients line

8 l - worm castings
6 l - pumice stone
1 l - activated/bio carbon
800 ml Plagron Supermix
600 g zeolite
few spoons Guanokalong Seaweed Powder
