Super Silver Haze x Haze AC testers

Hello Breddaz and Sistaz,

Day 29 of flowering for the SSH x AC testers and day 36 for the Silver Haze.

The taller SSH x AC has now reached almost 120 cm, while the smaller one is about 8 cm shorter. The stretch is finally slowing down—or hopefully it's over—otherwise I'll start running out of headroom.

I actually prefer the top structure of the smaller plant. She seems a bit more compact, and I'm already seeing the first trichomes developing. Both plants received a dose of BioTabs PK 5-8 last week according to the manufacturer's recommendations.

Unfortunately, a few uninvited guests have shown up at the party, as you can probably tell from the blue sticky trap... Thrips.

Temperatures in the tent have unfortunately been above 30°C, so I've had to leave it open during the day to help with both the heat and humidity. That's probably how the thrips found their way in.

On a more positive note, the first clone has already started showing roots after just seven days. I find that pretty remarkable considering the clone tent has also been hitting temperatures above 30°C at times.

Thankfully, the weather should start cooling down tomorrow. That's definitely welcome—40–41°C outside is simply too much. I honestly don't think I've ever experienced temperatures like that here.

Unfortunately, the Yucca extract product you recommended isn't available here, so I've ordered what I hope is a comparable alternative called BacYucca from the Netherlands. I'm looking forward to trying it and hope it helps the plants cope with these temperatures.

I ordered some, too! Silic Rock, from Plagron. THX Bredda

Use Bio Nova BN Solution silica. You’ll definitely notice a drastic difference—especially in the heat. Or try the one from Hesi. I’ve used PL Silic Rock a lot. Believe me, @PennyP, you won’t be ordering Silic Rock or Rhino Skin again. **Bio Nova**—the difference is immediately noticeable, especially in hydro. Right now, I simply can't—or rather, I can't provide my plants with—things like Green Sensation. However, I’ve ordered Bio Nova Solution for the hot spell and the SSHxAC test run. Green Sensation made my final product significantly heavier and denser. As for whether the quality was actually better? That’s a subject of much debate. Back at the grow shop, I used to wonder why my buddies wouldn't smoke my weed! I was the guy who could identify almost any product blindfolded—well, the ones that had a distinct smell, anyway. But Canna Coco A+B smells different from Bio Nova.
Atami Coco Bloom was my favorite in terms of smell and the effect it had on the final product. Where I’m starting the SSHxAC test run, the room temperature—even without a tent—has been hovering around 30°C at night for the last three days.

Hi friends of fine and mindful consumption,

Day 9 for the cuttings.

The strongest candidate is already well rooted. It's the one that showed a little less stretch than the others, so I'm really happy about that.

The other cuttings are also starting to produce their first roots, with the exception of one.

For the first seven days, I kept the humidity dome on. Since Sunday, it's been off completely. To be honest, it doesn't make much difference at the moment because the ambient humidity is already very high—and unfortunately, so is the temperature. Luckily, the cuttings don't seem to mind.

All I've done is mist them with pH 5.8 water twice a day.

Starting tomorrow, I'll add a little Rhizotonic to the water, and the most developed cutting will be transplanted into a small 8 × 8 × 8.5 cm pot filled with Light Mix.

I'm absolutely happy with how they're doing.

Danke @Schlawiener, ich schaue es mir an. Bisher verwende ich die Plagron-Produkte, aber Bio Nova ist immer eine gute Marke.

Plagron ist echt super gut. Es sollte nur ein Tipp sein..Meine langen deutschen Wörter im Übersetzer muss ich mir abgewöhnen.Ich verwendete Silic Rock zuvor immer. Beim Bio Nova Produkt merkte ich halt einen drastischen Unterschied. Nur ein gut gemeinter Tipp also. Also kein Befehl das du Plagron lieber im Regal lässt. Sorry dafür das wollte ich so nicht sagen @PennyP .

Hi @Schlawiener, ich antworte jetzt einfach mal auch auf deutsch, mein Bruder und Nachbar.

Ich habe es gar nicht so wahrgenommen und ich sehe, daß die Übersetzung über KI auch manchmal fehlerhaft ist . Grundsätzlich benutze ich eigentlich gar keine plagron Produkte, auch wenn die bestimmt gut sind.. ich versuche die biologische Variante und bin sehr zufrieden mit Terra Aquatica beim Pro organic bloom....die Silver Haze dunge ich aktuell mit dem long flowering Dünger von Green House Seeds in Kombination mit dem Booster.....ich probiere halt gerne was aus. Ich wollte wegen der Hitze dann das Silizium stuff probieren und hatte dann ne kleine 250ml Flasche von plagron bestellt und auch bac Yucca.....also nur ganz wenig um es auszuprobieren.

Was mich richtig glücklich macht, ist , das deine Nachricht mit zeigt, daß es immer noch Menschen mit Empathie gibt,die sich hinterfragen und auch mal nachfragen, wie sie bei anderen Menschen ankommen......dafür bin ich mehr als dankbar.

Das Forum ist der Hammer hier, alle helfen einander mit ihrem Wissen und alle sind smooth drauf.

But it seems that the 'SSH x AC' plants like it hot and humid

All plants grow fast and strong So far my favorite is 'SSH x AC #3' (left back corner)

The taller of my two is now at 126 cm (not including the pot) and hasn't been topped. I'm probably not going to have much choice but to cut the main top soon, as there are only a few centimeters left between the canopy and the LED.

The second one is about 12 cm shorter, and she's just about fitting for now.

Wishing you all the best with your grow and a massive harvest. Mine are just starting to pile on the trichomes now, and the smell is already very promising.

Consider LST. Main stem on a horizontal plane will provide more “tops” from the side branches.

I've seen plants tied into knots before to reduce the height and get the branches to all come to some canopy level. Thsat's one of the better methods that mixes training methods. Another good one I see Kyle Kushman use is a savage form of supergroup where the sytem is split in 2 places and the plant folded up and bound in place.

Thank you both so much for your support and the helpful advice.

I don't think I'll be able to apply it in this run, though. The main stem has become quite thick and rigid, and I don't think I could bend it without snapping it. At least that's how it seems to me—you guys definitely have more experience with that than I do.



On top of that, my little tent is already pretty crowded, so bending the main stem would probably end up shading the other plants.

That said, I'm still really happy with how things have turned out. I was able to keep an early male, and I ended up with two really nice phenotypes. That's more than I could have hoped for, especially considering the seeds were a gift. I truly thank Jah for that.

The smaller phenotype seems to suit me better, especially with my tent height of only 180 cm. Maybe one day I'll upgrade to a 200 cm tent, but that would require quite a few changes to my setup.

Hi there,

The big day finally arrived. I opened the SSH x Haze AC straw—it contained 19 seeds! A huge thank you again to Shantibaba and @musashi! Ideally, I’d be sensible and wait a bit until the heatwave passes; right now, it’s 26–28°C at night without the lights on.

But I’ve never been one for common sense. So, out of the 19 test seeds, I picked the eight largest and dropped them into a glass of water. They’ll stay there until tomorrow morning. Afterward, I’ll transplant them into 0.25-liter pots filled with BioBizz Light Mix. I’ve pre-moistened the Light Mix with Greenhouse Feeding’s Bio Enhancer. The eight pots will go under a 150W Mars Hydro full-spectrum LED running at 25% power.

Hello friends of fine and mindful consumption,

Flowering day 36 for the SSHxAC testers.

Big Mama has reached 127 cm, while her "little" sister is now around 110 cm. The stretch is finally over, and both have started putting their energy into flower production. The trichomes are increasing every day as well.

They both have a very similar aroma, although Big Mama has slightly more earthy and herbal undertones, while her sister leans a bit sweeter.

As for the "pests," I think I may have been mistaken. They don't seem to be thrips after all, but rather a few small fruit flies that found their way into the tent. I had to leave it open during the day because of the heat and humidity. Even so, I released the beneficial insects anyway—better safe than sorry.








The Silver Haze from Sensi Seeds is one week ahead and is now on flowering day 53. The strong citrus aroma has mellowed a little and has been joined by another note that's difficult to describe—something woody and spicy, perhaps even slightly incense-like.




The tester clones have all rooted within 12 days. The last one rooted yesterday, while the others took between 7 and 10 days, which I'm really happy with.
