Super Silver Haze x Haze AC testers

So, here are the eight SSHxAC seedlings/young plants. They shot up very quickly due to the small pots and significant stretching—a result of insufficient light intensity. I’ve moved them into 3.5-liter pots using BioBizz Light Mix, with a handful of All-Mix blended into the bottom of each pot. I watered them in with Greenhouse Feeding BioEnhancer. I’ve now turned the LED up to 50%; the 30% setting at that distance was clearly too low.
I want to let them grow a bit more and perhaps top them. Then, I’ll let them finish flowering in my Spider Farmer Genius complete kit—featuring a G4500 LED—inside a 1.40m x 0.70m x 2.0m tent.
The eight little SSH x AC plants definitely need to be treated with neem oil, as it looks like unwanted spider mites have taken hold. So, before they enter the flowering stage, they need a good cleanup.

Went Up to 95 % on the Sanlight for more light for the Silver Haze.
Unfortunately, I have to find a compromise. If I turn the lights up too high, Big Mama suffers because she's simply too close to the LED bars.

To me, changing the intensity of a lamp or an LED makes no sense; there is a spectrum that needs to be respected.
haze are sativa they need a good light intensity

I'm still really not convinced by LEDs in horticulture.

Yeah, thanks, I know what you mean. I'm still not completely sold on LEDs either. I still have my old 600-watt Industria down in the basement, which I used most of the time in the past, with an Osram 600-watt NAV-T Super HPS lamp. It has a lot of yellow and red in the spectrum, and you're absolutely right—it would probably be ideal for the Silver Haze.



Unfortunately, I don't have the option to change the setup around right now, so I'll just have to live with the compromise.

That said, I haven't had any bad experiences with LEDs so far. I'm actually pretty happy with the Sanlight. But I know exactly what you mean about what's missing. There's definitely still a gap there—maybe even a pretty significant one.

That reminds me of the day I bought a light rail—one that moved back and forth over 1.5 meters with a 600W HPS lamp—which was supposed to double my yield; my plants ended up looking like that due to a lack of light.
For me, that’s what LED efficiency is all about.

I remember reading about LightRail back then too and thinking it sounded like a pretty cool idea. I never actually bought one, though. So it's good to hear that I didn't miss out, especially if you had bad experiences with it, @quinxstar

I dug out a few old photos from back then and thought I'd share them. These are all Sensi Seeds plants. I think one of them is Super Skunk, but I'm not entirely sure about the other one. I didn't label them back then, so I just took some photos of the old pictures.








They're definitely from January 2000, and they were grown under a 600-watt Industria HPS. I usually had around 10–15 plants in four-liter pots in a Space 1,2 m x 1,5m. Growing from Seeds.

And yeah, I think you can definitely see the difference, can't you?

Sorry if this was a little off-topic. I know this thread is about the SSH × AC and not about other strains or setups, but I just wanted to share this since we were talking about HPS versus LED.

Small update,

the cuts are in 0,5L pots for around 10 more days and will move to the shack in 20L buckets.
I plan to give them a very short veg in there.

They look good.
The ladies are in the bigger pots, the gents in the smaller ones.
The ladies that is topped is my SSH cut.



I'm eager to see these develop more!

I somehow get the impression—whether growing with HPS, CMH, or a combination with LED—that the very same cuttings turn out a tad more potent. Even just with HPS.

It was hard for me to set the right VPD in the start, but I have corrected that at least.

There is bit of chlorosis on #1. Also when repotting, I must have damaged the roots on #2. Tho the seedling is recovering fast.
#3 and #4 are looking very heathy.

All plants look very good and are pretty vigorous as said many times here.

So I have added some Alg-A-Mic and Root Juice, and pH'd the water to 6.3.
I have also switched the lighting to grow stage to reach around 25 DLI.

A cheerful hello to everyone!
The 8 SSH x AC seedlings have now received the care they need. Each individual plant—whether in the apartment, on the balcony, or in the converted wardrobe—got a light shower of Spruzit. Additionally, the eight SSH x AC young plants were placed in a well-ventilated 60x60x180 cm tent with the 280 m³ exhaust fan throttled down. They are sitting under the SanLight Stixx, which is now running at 100% power with sufficient clearance. They were watered with a mix of BN-Silution, Xcel, Missing Link, 1 ml Fish Mix, and 1 ml AN-Ancient Earth per liter of water (pH 6.3)!

They're still stacking on the buds, and there are still no signs of the trichomes turning cloudy or amber yet. We'll see how things develop. Time is ticking, and I'm hoping they'll be finished in about three weeks, but I'm not entirely sure. We'll see.

I have the same LED. I love it! It has an amazingly even light spread and mpre than enough

I’ve only used it for four months so far.
The power was almost too much—this LED certainly packs a massive punch. I can't say anything about long-term use yet, though.
I’ll be getting it out of the basement again this weekend.

So It is half of week 4 of grow period, development is quick.
Iam glad to be testing these so far,
as I have remembered WACO by smells and looks of the plants immediately !
Sweet parfume smells on canopy, bit of bublle gum fruit smells on stem rub.

I will wait just one more week,
so the plants can gather even more growth,
make the cuts,
install tomato cages
and preflowering stage awaits !

Overall the structures are pretty robust so far,
with lot of secondary branching, which Iam really fan of.
Tho, I dont know If I pick the oportunity to trim the top,
or tighten main to the tomato cage - which I wanted to try.


SSHAC#1 plant is recovering from some kind of deficiencies,
I believe it is caused by high VPD - humidifier is working already - so It should help in few days
Or it is caused by transplant shock - more watering and it should help aswell.




SSHAC#2 plant have some kind of deficiencies more like issues,
I hope the humidifier will help here aswell.
Or more watering, as Iam giving some calmag and alga-mic + bit of root juice.




SSHAC#3 this plant is my favorite #1
Canopy already smells nicely, and I immediately remembered what WACO smelled like !

Also this is the healthiest plant looking overall.

I harvested the NH's today so the small tent is free to veg the SSHxAC's a bit further.
They were transplanted a couple day ago in 0,8L pots (Plagron Light mix).
I will probably let the SSH's in the shack go a little longer now that I can veg them further in here.
