I'm just saying tell the truth don't hype things up.
Zig,
I was able to demonstrate, quite readily, that you had skipped over an important piece of my statements, which was key to the entire statement itself. Instead of admitting that you may have overlooked the quote I provided in question, you've moved on to suggesting Im not telling the truth now? The entire premise of your argument was that the plants were not "real winners" due to
your perceived Herm issues, which was obviously a statement inherently dependant on the absense of the quote I provided, which you conveniently overlooked in your rush to suggest Shanti would put a herm product on the market. Either your trolling (likely), or you have a problem admitting you're wrong (also likely). I do not appreciate your suggestions otherwise.

You always are elegant with your twisting of the words, I'll give you that.
Translation: You regret trolling the thread, considering you clearly skipped over my statement, which made your original comment obsolete. What words did I twist Zig? That you were suggesting Shanti would put a herm variety on the market?

Now where would I get such a idea?

And Im twisting your words? lol, please! The only twisting happening here, is you in your seat, as I pick to pieces your entire post for your poor attempts at trolling. The "articles" you're mentioning are in fact on the topic of Feminized Seed, not varieties bred in a traditional manner such as the MNS Ortega. Nice try, but clearly you've failed in this respect as well. For a member who has been here as long as you have, Im surprised with Example 3 in particular, because it readily shows your lack of understanding of "herm" lines to begin with. "Breeders who have them show up in their lines?" Its almost as if you dont realize 98% of the lines on the market, from any company, can indeed be stressed to the point to throw some "nanners" out. Its not necassarily a mark of bad breeding, but a fact of life, that when stressed, plants will show a predisposition to activate a survival mechanism inherent to the plant itself, in order to assure preservation. Its almost as if you're sole goal was to trash MNS, while in the process of trolling. Yet its obviously went horribly wrong for you lol.

Hi resin,
If you used the same plants, from the same grow room which you admit had environmental issues, Im afraid that once stressed, they are stressed for good. So its not surprising they had the same issues in that respect. Had you used clones from the same plants, and had them herm again, that may be a different story.
I say this, because from the below quote I get the impression, as you mentioned above with them being the same plants, that this was indeed the case.
I'll go into more detail with pics in a few days but I am pretty sure it was heat that caused this. I pm'd shanti to see if any type of stress caused ortega to hermie more than others. Over the few weeks I'll be watching them all carefully.
H&C. It's far from over. The top 12 inches of the plants were unaffected. As of now the yield is of course going to lower but I'm not worried. The lower branches had only tiny popcorn like buds. If you could even call them that. I am continuing to flower them out.

Which is also supported by the fact that on the 17th of last month, you posted this:
I am building a new room that should be finished in the next week or two. Most of the second round will be flowered in there under a 600w hps.
And considering you posted on the 26th about your 2nd round with the plants, though they were already in flower, it seems that indeed you did use the same plants, not clones of the same plants, in your second room. And knowing it takes some time for the on set of flower to begin, things just dont add up right with any other estimation other than what you previously posted about using the same plants.

So using the same stressed plants, even in a new room, is not going to yield plants which are not stressed after previously being under the same conditions. I thought the entire story sounded a little strange, as with the dates given, Its hard to believe new plants would get the size that you've posted for round 2, at the stage of flowering that they are at, and herm so quickly consider the dates posted in relation to where we are today of Sept. 11th. So I would recommend growing the Ortega's from seed again, in your new grow room, before suggesting that they hermed a second time, because as it stands, the time frame just doesnt seem to add up, especially in relation to your original post of using the same plants.

DTBH I hear what saying about the fueding and fighting. I appreciate it but I dong think this is to that extent. Call it constructive criticism with a hint of sarcasm and double meanings on both parts. Not to speak for Jesse but I'm sure he and I have respect for all members and each other. I don't take anything good or bad personally that's written on this site. It's anonymous for the most part.
Yup, definitely constructive criticism in relation to trying to get to the bottom of things. Positive re-inforcement originally though, as I had originally mentioned, and as Kashgari, Shanti and Hempy can attest too, my initial attempts at growing were far from successful in terms of plant health and yield. Though I was pulling excellent herb from day 1 of harvest, but hardly plants to brag about.
Good luck, looking forward to seeing the thread progress.
