I started trimming yesterday with NH#18, very delicate sativa flowers with a good amount of trichomes.
The smell is spicy (not strong), I resembles a lot like the small packages of spices you can get to put on your chicken (chicken mix?) if you now what I mean.

I could not resist and vaped a small bud, I was not expecting much since they are barely dry but the haze caught me by suprise.
After the first big pull I noticed a rush climbing to my head and in an instant I was high!
A warm cosy feeling that stucked to my head. My forhead and nasal bridge felt like it had a glow for a good hour.
My senses were wide awake and it gave me very good energy.
Very enjoyable and It gave me a glimpse of what Neville's Haze is about.
I promised myself to test each pheno once while trimming but then they go in the jars to cure.

Thanks for the description, it sounds divine. I'm looking forward to growing some kind of Haze. 😎 Just out of curiosity, what vaporizer do you use? I've also been preferring vaporization for some time now 😊

It is only a few years I started vaping Lu-Khan, I still prefere to smoke tho.
I tested different brands and most were ok but lacked the feeling of a good hit or punch.
I found the Tinymight the best for this (taste wise its lacks a bit to others but it hits very good).

Hey Lu-Khan,
If you enjoy growing fine connoisseur herbs I would recommend the Afghan X Haze f1 here at Mr Nice. It can be a little sensitive but the quality of a well grown sativa dominate plant will make your eyes tear once you’ve smoked it.
It has been one of my favorites for years.
The yield can be somewhat low on some plants which tend to be connoisseur quality and would win a taste and effect category hands down in any cannabis cup.

I still have tester seed pack of G13 x Afghan Haze, that I cant wait to pop in next year :)
Maybe there will be some mating with my G13 Afghan Skunk :_)

Afghan Haze is on my list for long time already..

I bet that would make some great plants. The ShitAfgHaze is amazing. I wonder what G13 would add🤔.

I pulled a late one yesterday evening trimming the NH's and finished today.
There are a couple of very good females in this run with NH#33 being first going on smell and looks but more of her later.

The 3 pearl phenos are very remarkable, it is like a piece of string with calyxes. No need for trimming on those but very hard to handle.
Curious how these will smoke.

The biggest one was NH#5, I took some pictures.

She has a lot of very small trichomes with tiny heads on them.
If the smoke is nothing special I will make hash out of her.
The smell is rather discreet, it reminds me a bit of mango.

You would have to be happy with the trichome coverage on the white looking seed bract in the second last picture, almost growing on top of each other, and look at the trichomes running up the stems.
The smoke report on this one is highly anticipated.

The white calyxes are light bleached🫤.
My anticipations are not very high with these pearl phenos but I could be very wrong.
 
Here are the other two pearls.

NH#12 is the most fragrant and has the biggest trichome heads from the pearls pheno's.
She has a more complex hazy scent now, the spicy scent has disapeared.
I would say that she leans more to the sweeter side now.
Given the structure (high trichome count on a large surface area) I could imagine that this could be very good for extracting.

NH#11 smells similar to #12 now but not so pronounced.
This pheno has smaller trichome heads.

Those were the most extreme pheno's I found in Neville's Haze, I do wonder what genetics can contribute to this?
I know that a lot has been said on what could be in the genetic make up of haze but I'm curious to find out if this comes from thai or columbian or something else?
 
Everything I have read so far suggests this pheno is coming from the Thai genetics.
After growing a few straight thai plants from Ace Seeds back in the day I would have to concur.
The Thai plants can really put out a jungle vibe with long strings of single calyxes, and as we see here resin glands all over the stems.
Lets hope your intuition is wrong this time and this stuff really lights you up.
It might also mix very well with other strains when consumed, adding something special that is not so evident when taken on it's own.

From what I understand after reading lot of forums:

Haze C = more likely to have Thai influence (grape-like buds whit cone structure appearance)
Haze A = more likely to have Colombian influence (airy/hairy buds whit round structure appearance).

You got it backwards.

As I've said before, the first haze I grew was probably from one of the earliest batches of seeds I got from Sam which ranged from '66 or '67 to '70. It was most similar to the best Thai's I'd had in Perth in the '70s. I'd also spent 4 months in Thailand in '76, so I knew a good Thai when I saw one. The 5 that sprouted from '69 were all different with the HzA male throwing types most similar to FH. Inbreeding these plants was, as Sam said not very effective in producing the desired result but the most common type that came from these inbred '69 seeds was similar but not as good as FH. This lead me to believe that OH was a Thai. The HzC male threw much sweeter types, more reminiscent of Columbian or Mexican but the "Haze effect" was equal in strength to HzA offspring. The closest to the FH in character was a NH cutting that Y.Sam is growing. But that type regularly pops up in the NH. As I said, inbreeding the Hazes I had tended to throw back to the FH Thai type. If you've grown NH you'll have had it.
