Male update:
They are 4-5 weeks into flowering and pollen is flying everywhere now.
I believe I'm slightly allergic to male pollen, I noticed last year when handling them and checking them out that my nose was blocked and I had a soar throat.
After inspecting the males today I had the same thing.
19 males were assessed and 3 were culled immediately, they showed male and female parts.
Glad I stress tested them severely.
Of the remaining 16 males I see 7 that show visible trichomes to some degree, these are also the most aromatic of the group.
I will wait until next weekend to make my final judgement, trichome development is my most important criteria, smell and structure second and third.
These resin covered males smell very similar to each other, most are hazy with cola (almost dead on the smell you get when pouring in a glass of Coca Cola).
This has me very excited!
Neville's Haze males show lesser tricomes than Mango Haze or Mango Haze Inbred (or I was just more lucky previous year).
Nonetheless I will let them flower more, smells could change and pherhaps I will see more trichomes in a few weeks (just as with the ladies).
