Neville's Haze, in search of a keeper

Day 70 of flowering today.

No more growth, all of the phenos are growing pistils and trichomes.
Most plants are still in good health, I did not change anything to the setup and feeding past 2 weeks.
It is difficult to see what is what now, I have another jungle to deal with.😅
The smell is still rather discreet but I see plants with insane trichomes already.

I struggle with taking pictures, there are some very nice plants in the back but I cant take a decent picture anymore.
In the next update I will try to take better pictures.
I'm guessing/hoping that most are past the halfway point now.🤞

And I am not even able to recollect complete successful grow journal of healthy 16-weekers in soil medium while there is only 1.8 ltrs of soil per plant. I am not talking hydroponics here. Soil. I might seriously reconsider my own technique of growing. I am learning from you. Your style is very different from mine. It is a coincidence that we both sprouted seeds around the same date, vegged them 6 weeks and put them into flower on the very same exact date of 21st June. So, your plants and mine completed their 10 weeks of flower on this Friday.
I do not want to derail the thread and I am not seeking attention here, but you might be interested to compare how my plants (my current diary on icmag) looking on a same week 10 when vegged for 6 weeks in 330 ml mugs and then transplanted (on a day of Zero of 12/12 on 21st June) into their individual 25 ltrs bags with a soil. There was no pinching or topping at all during the whole grow and there was practically no pruning of side branches. Stretch was X4.5 to X5.0.
Btw, I remember @musashi grows in 5-7 gallons pots also.
So, I am holding my breath for another 6 weeks while watching your grow. This is the time when roots problem arrive when growing in small containers when plants are already severely root bound and the soil itself became depleted grow medium, no matter how rich and organic it was.

We all learn from each other helmsman, there is a lot of info here on this site if you start searching for it!
I started lurking on Overgrow end of the 90's and have also lurked on Icmag for a long time, I will look into your thread there.
Fingers crossed that everything stays on track here but I have a good feeling about it.:)
This grow is just to grow quality to assess the females for the first time, i'm planning to do a bigger grow of my keepers from NHM and NH next year!

Day 84 of flowering today.

They are progressing but far from done, harvest is still many weeks away.
I did underestimate the stretch from this strain, I have another jungle at hand.
There are a couple of plants that grow just like a vine and are intertwined with the rest of the plant.
I see branches popping up right and the ends are at the other side of the tent, should be fun harvesting.😅
Other plants have grown past the light or in the light, it is almost impossible to correct any more.

The tent start to smell like haze and incense, very exited to find out from which plants it comes.

I start to see some burned tips but also some yellowing, I plan to stay on the same feeding for the next weeks and see how it evolves.
Lighting stays the same for now.

Looking great swifty!

My lone NH also stretched like theres no tomorrow.... its nice to see. My pheno looks to be somewhere in the middle of your heavier ladies.... not as stout as a few I see in your group, but also not as thin or fenotrigo-ish as a few I see in yours too.

Yeah, im having to use your grow to place my pheno :)

It is not possible to check every plant but for the ones that I did smell there was not lemon.
I did notice something leaning to the orange side but not dead on oranges.
It is still early, I expect to have stronger scents in a month.

Small update on the cuttings.

From the 28 females I managed to keep 27 mothers.
3 of these were made well into flowering and 1 failed at the last attempt.
NH#45 just did not want to root (3 attempts). I hope she is not special.

The 19 males all rooted easily.
Since I boil the peat cubes for 10 mins and let them cool down in that water I have a 100% strike rate again.

Every clone is still in its peat cube and kept alive by feeding Alga Grow (3ml/l) and rigourous pruning.
I start to notice that the overal health is starting to decline a bit, I will transplant every female into a small pot with Light Mix soil.
I will wait with the males until I know were the keepers are, these are younger so that should not be a problem.

Well, phenotypes with a pronounced citrus flavour are quite rare in Haze varieties, which is why I'm asking, because I'm hoping to find one of these phenotypes for my future selection of Neville's Haze.

If you have an phenotype close to orange, that's encouraging. 🙂

But you're right, it's too early to say, after the harvest the aroma analysis will be more relevant. Thx.

Your threads make my decision what to grow next almost impossible ;)

I'll stick to SSH for my next grow but you put Mango Haze, Neville's Haze Mango and Neville's Haze on the top of my must grow list for the next runs :)

I have seen this strain with its pearl phenos and I agree Uncle Jack.
First time seeing this reported from NH, I will make sure to keep the cuts around until smoke test or a second grow.
They look special and are all very resinous.
I believe I see 3 plants that do this with one being extraordinary in trichomes.

MNS Neville's Haze is the real deal if anyone doubts, I dare to say this without even finishing the grow.
I started reading on haze on another forum and I can't believe how many people say that MNS hazes are not the same as before, almost all hybrid looking and talk negative about here.
I have not grown hazes that were made by Neville but after sprouting and growing around 120 MNS hazes in the last 3 years I can say for sure that these are sativa's with great quality and are very special.
Like almost any other strain it is better to grow as many seeds as you can to find very unique plants.

They don't stop bashing Shantibaba on US forums...

Always saying that the male Haze C has been lost for a long time, even though Shanti has shown images again and reconfirmed its existence.

It's always the same thing since 15 years, either it's marketing bullshit from other breeders and their supporters, or it's old paranoid/delusional smokers who bash it out of jealousy or some other absurd reason.

This may also be due to the widespread use of LED lighting over the last 10 years. Many growers do not know how to use these lamps properly, playing around with the light spectrum, etc. What's more, as sativa strains tend to prefer warm HID lamps (MH/HPS), they produce less potent buds than before.

^^^ Illiterate teeny boppers. They all have opinions based on very limited or non-experience. Phony posers and ankle biters, they are /r. I've always made it a point to find out for myself. The Neville's Haze, Mango Haze, and the newer Holy Grail, Holy Smoke, etc. are superlative examples of sativa hybrids and excellent breeding. If you've had experience growing them, show me your stuff and I'll listen to your opinion, if not, get lost and stop wasting my time.
