My plan to make Stash of ASH

Under watering mistake is better than overwatering, from my experience.
Your plants appear very healthy and strong and I’m sure bounce back with extra vigor, if they haven’t already 👍
It was like I have transplanted them and sprinked them by water just a bit, because the small pots were still saturated well.
But then heat wave came, so I had turn on the fan, thinking it is still moist - it was not.
So fan leafes changed colours like if overfed, immeadiatelly crawled, the same day I poured a bit of water but ends turned to necrosis, next day litlle more and they bounced back.
The response was very quick, all the plants powered their secondary branching,
so I have took off the necrotic leafs and it is now like nothing had happened.. (almost, few leaf ends are the reminder for me :))

Happened to me for the first time, I was a big overwaterer :)

Hello,
Iam here with yet another update :)
Lamp still on 40W !! :)

I have one male here so far ASH #3
The most Afghan Skunk plant showing balls
I have toped him even more and will have to make some cuts shortly
I made a photo before toping, but the photo is not usable :( sorry for that, but it is nice indica plant from the beggining

male3.jpg

ASH #1
Have some pretty desirable smells already, my beloved fresh-rosy smells
Pretty nice structure & some nice leafs too !

1a.jpg1b.jpg

ASH #4
This plant starts to be my favorite
Be it for its fresh like smells, or colours of the leafs
Also the structure and thickness of the leafs and its overall stature
Simply amazing plant so far !

4a.jpg4b.jpg

ASH #5
Another pretty plant with complex fresh smells
From the looks, the most different plant from the bunch
Also the smells are that different, yet cannot pinpoint it so far

to be continued . . .

You know, male ASH3 was passed into second, but smaller space.
Its original main place was filled with Tropical Widow (Northern Widow #2)
Of course I made clone from her again, she was already very extensively rootbound and not much space was left in height of small box.

All the plants, including widow, were cleaned so I can supervise their bottom parts.
Maybe there will be some more modifications, but so far they look great !

Lets just see what happens, maybe some tropical ash widow seeds emerge, we will see how the male will perform.
Or if there is other one too, because, lets just say, if #1 or #4 turn male, these are immediate candidates for cross.
#3 is so much indica, but if it is the only one, one can only try, or try again another time... :)

Tent is still set for 40W output :D
Damn that light is good. . .
I need one maybe two more weeks to take coots and start flowering. . .

I saw some preflowers forming on #1 & #5 Iam obviously hoping for everything at this point, as all the plants are really beautifull.
Smell upon opening is more into freshness, but Northern Widow 2 already started its secret superweapon,, her tropical sweet scents !

IMG_8317.jpg

ASH#1
I love structure of #1, even tho it was tiped, still remains in original shapes and added on density
Colours are rich and deep, leafs robust and healthily pointing upwards ..

a1.jpg

ASH#4

More olive like deep coulours , glossy almost like NL5 from some angles.
Leafs shapes differs from the rest a bit.

a4.jpg

ASH#5
Looks like exact combination of previous two.
Leafs shapes and colour more like #1, structure more like #4.

a5.jpg

NW#2
the use of mycorhizhae on roots when repoting seems to help in root/growth rates
She already started a bits of smell, in hope to attract some good male :)
At this point, I hope for #1 to turn male ! :D But I also hope it remains female :D

Hello, so after whole month of grow period, I have started the blooming phase.
I have made some lower branch triming, so that I get more tops and less bottoms.
Overall pretty tasty plants these are.
Still under 40Watts !! :D I will wait for preflowers to fully form and up that based on outdoor temperatures ;)

front.jpg

Off course, I have also made cutings of each plant for safekeeping, I believe ASH4 is male, but am not sure yet.
I still keep backup of ASH3 in form of clone, but he was early preflower male, so I would rather use other male instead.

clones.jpg

Northern Widow 2
I hope for some weding with this girly
Shes very healthy right now, and gaining height as we speek :)

nw2.jpg

ASH1
still smelling kind of sweet, fruity and bit bubllegumy
such pretty plant
also I seem to saw pointy preflower 💕

ash1.jpgash1c.jpg

ASH4
started to smell more afghanish, skunky
it also looks to be male, but iam not 100% sure
I really like its pearlescent colours ⚪ and thick leafs.
If male,, then that is my men for wedings !! :)

ash4.jpgash4c.jpg

ASH5
another sweet smeller, bit like rose
nice dark leafs on this one :)

LED Power has been uped to 75W.
I have also added litlle bit of canna bioflower nutes + bioboost to start things of.
On weekend, Iam planing first soil ammending with some stuff, stay tuned ;)

Only thing to add right now is, that ASH4 is real water sweller, it abuses water so much, compared to the others :D

Also ASH1 still have her kind & sweet stem smell, with hints of peppermint.
Bubllegumy Yummy :)

All the plants look great, I hope for big episode with theese cutelings ;)

Now some confirmations

ASH1 - confirmed female o:)

ASH1.JPG

ASH4 looks like a male to me :( A wise man once said: 'Crap claws are no tetas!'

But it seems that you will have plenty of ladies to play with :)

It is good, I needed #1 or #4 to become male ;)
For some home work, study and so on :)

#4 is also lowest stature, and If if was a female, it would be my favorite,, so if it is male actually, than it is the One I need to pollenate plants with :)
I hope it will be Okay :)

Iam planning to show the results in next season ;)

End of 2nd week

I did make some time for pruning bottom parts, mainly Northern Widow that is preparing for some jungle with weight !!
I made change in wattage last week 115W (75%)
Top of the soil was ammended generously using spoon of
Bat guano / Palm ash / Dry see weed and wormfrass .. Watered in well !
All the clones are healthy too !

allsoil.jpg

ASH1
-
she is mainly low stature bush, with 4 good branches and some shorter sidebranching, so far this is structure I like the most !
- leafs are shorter and hardy, they are glossy green coloured
- quite good bud site onset
- stem smells mostly bubllegumy with piquant-fresh notes

ash1.jpgash1m.jpg

ASH4M
-
he is bushy and his structure is pretty simillar to ASH1, height is more like ASH5
- leafs are short but pretty big and thick, glossy deep coloured, just like ASH1
- male buds seem full, yet quite elongated, that seems good to me
- stem smell is full and bit fragrant, in good way

ashm.jpgashmm.jpg

ASH5
- I believe there is just a bit more influence in haze with height, structure seem moreless the same as others
- leafs are shorter and not that glossy
- bud sites seems faster then for others
- stem smells are kind of fresh to afghan notes

ash5.jpgash5m.jpg

NW2
- the structure is amazing, yet had to be pruned in lower parts severly, as whole stem was hidden in new small branching
- leafs are narrow and quite glossy compared to my previous years grow
- buds are there, I cant wait to see how nice these will become,, and how pretty it will look when seeded by clashing with ASH4M
- stem smells are fresh-sweet skunky like

Your grow space always looks close to perfect (y) I get a little jealous every now and then ;)

ASH4M.jpg

It was on last second, I pulled male out from the box...
Just started to bomb out his enormous loads of pollen...

Till today, I made two sessions of pollination.
I have pollinated all the plants...
Each on one top bud, so I hope for best results here..

I will make one last pollenation using brush and also try to store some pollen in vials for later use . . .

Male is looking very promising to me..
Growth was the same as ASH1 with just slight differences, but that damned dark pearlescent green catched my eye.
And now in flowering it goes up, so more of afghan haze traits I believe ?

Hope he can pass only the best to females

_all.jpg

Middle of 3th week and things starting to rock.

I managed to make 3 pollinations on all three plants as was said before. Each plant got whole branch done, from top to bottom parts - so hopefully there will be a lot of seeds.
I will keep male and all the cuts alive for some time, tho I cannot keep all of them, so once I know what plant was best, I will need to make sad things, but that is future of things, so not bothering with that right now. (there will be some workarounds once ready tho / like feminization maybe)

And also I will try to work one line of this Northern Widow, because why search for better if you have something that good :) hopefully it will be fun with some perspective !

ASH1
-still low height bushy stature
-pollination seems good to me
-awaiting some smells, bublly stem is more subtle right now

A1.jpgA1d.jpgA1s.jpg

ASH5
-seems like some speary plant, I will need to transform her a bit
-pollination seems good to me, some pretty nice orange colours on pollinated sites
-smells becoming just slightly „meaty“ of a kind moreso like afghan plant

A5.jpgA5d.jpgA5s.jpg

NW2
-overall beauty
-pollination seems good here, Iam glad
-bits of fruity widow fragrances, maybe bit of óeau de tropical widow

N2.jpgN2d.jpgN2s.jpg

Time moves on, so here is something :)
First of all Northern Widow 2

- she strikes with beautifull fragrance of some spicy hazey widowy smells..
- robust structure and fluffy yet pretty full buds
- seeds are on last photo and occaissionaly somewhere else too :)

nw2.jpgnw2m1.jpgnw2m2.jpgnw2seeds.jpg

And lastly ASH5
- again very nice bud structure anbd again unique smells, I believe more into „kind off“ coffee or chocolate, I bewlieve I can describe the smells better in some time forward
- seeds on last photo, the buds are showing kind of green to blueish hues, camera did not pick that up tho
