looking real nice.. Its gonna be nice to see how she develops.. How big is the hole she is in?

Hi mate, she is not really in a hole because she was from a seed that dropped on the ground from another plant last season while I was taking the seeded head, but she is on the edge of a patch that is about 10mtr by 6mtr and full of all sorts of good shit:D

LOL! not even summer and you're rubbing our noses in it. Let me see...6 foot now, with only 6 and a half months to go for an early June harvest:eek:

75% MM, 12.5% Skunk, 12.5% Haze. The mind boggles at how big this baby will get. I'll go for 18 feet and 12 pounds:D Any takers, Elmer?

OK mate, just a word of advice, you might want to dig in some compost around the edge of that momma - don't want her to flop bcos you dug a hole that was too small :D

G`day Bushy ,Kanga
I must say that is a mighty impressive lil bush you have there ! So if I was a bettin man [which I am not ] I`d say 20 ft an 8lbs I don`t think it has enuff NL to really be a good yeilder . {sarcasm intended } LOL .
Well you boys have got a good head start on me I`m just popin my Sativa beans at the mo. Though I`ve got a few Sats from over the winter in revegg too , I intend on cloning for a couple of guerilla ops in the near future . Gettin set up in doors has been takin a lot of my focus lately but I am itchin to get out an smell some fresh mountain air if you num sayin eh ?
Too bad the trial in the Sinbin was postponed I was lookin fwd to sayin g`day ,but my girls would have missed me,so it may have been a blessing in disguise . I think there almost ready to fend for them selves now .Was having some temp issues but seems good now .
Anyway keep us posted .
Thanks for sharin .
Elmer Bud .

Lol.....Hey you guys I wouldnt be making any predictions yet as she is a new cross.
Bushy I am going to cage this year as from what i hear we are in for a big storm season, so I dont want them on the ground:(

Good idea to cage with plants the size of yours, Kanga :) This will be an exciting grow season for sure.

Hi Mate:)

Exciting and very Interesting, already I am busy changing a few things coz of the wet weather. Some plants luv it and some are complaining a little bit:D

Hi mate, probably a good idea to shackle them given the forecast weather this season (if a lot of work:)). Unfortunately spoils the aesthetic value somewhat:D.

I know you had to top all of your new strains, so we can expect an outward growing bonanza. Did you top all your old strains too?

Not mate I didnt top them as they didnt head out as much as some of the Indica, Indica/Staiva crosses, same with the Thais and Africans, plus they are such fast growing strains that they reveg quickly without having to top.
Looks a bit strange for awhile.
Hey mate if you want to cage yours just use that Dingo fencing, its strong and you can cut it into a big circle.
I am using this as I want to work more on getting good strong branching this year more than having tall plants, just in case we get hammered. So there will be a bit of pruning this year.

Hi ya Mate.....Glad to see all is ok with you, you been hiding under that plant have you :D
one of my best plants ever was a tie down job, you just have to make sure it is well spread out:D

Hi all.....Nothing to do today as it is still raining so I thought I would put up some pics of a strain that I have been working on for about 4 yrs.
I was originaly given a couple of clones by a friend, from a plant that has been growing in the Mullumbimby area for unknown years by his friend , that he said wasnt doing it justice. This plant is clone only anyway, but I am sure it would be around the area in some form of cross.
I grew these clones out the first year and was rather impressed with its nice solid long buds and in particular its resistance to mold, so I crossed it with my MM male. I then grew them out plus clones from the original clones that I got. The crossed plants looked good but the flowering was still a little to long compared to the originals. So at the end of the season I crossed the crosses to the clones.
Then last season I got the result I was after......nice uniform plants, with early maturing time and nice sticky mold resistant buds......Here are the pics of that plant from last season and the female I used for seed for this season.

Hi mate, so it sounds like the plant you're finally happy with is 75% the clone you were given and 25% MM - is that right? Any idea on her heritage, or just another good North Coast sativa?

Also, found a shot of Frank's Kush http://forum.sensiseeds.com/images/outdoor/kush_landrace_indica_c8422.html

Hi Bushy.....Yeah pretty spot on. No mate dont know anything about heritage, just know it has been in the area for a long time and grown by the same guy.
At first I just grew the clones out in pots during a winter and didnt think that much of it, but it had a nice smell and density was excellent so I stuck them in the ground for summer, plus took more clones......I put these in a area that didnt get as much sun during the final days of growing, but still they produced nice heads and no mould.....so I did the cross. This season grow should have all the things I like, with the high that I like in it as well.

Hi m8, that clone based line looks very nice indeed. Just wondering what the aroma/flavor is like on the origonal cut?
Looks like youve done a great job with her, id imagine the mm gave her some more gusto and quality sat high. Looking lovely m8
much respect

Thanx mate your compliments are much appreciated:)
The smell was a bit like the hash we used to get in the old days, when you first cracked open some nice Nepalese and it gave off that nice sweet, semi mint smell. That is what caught my attention, its changed a little bit with the addition of the MM which has added that little bit of earthy smell to it.
Taste is pretty much a sweet smooth light mint, fruity sort of thing.....lol
Sorry mate, I am just getting used to trying to describe tastes and smells, Bushy is educating me a bit:D
I will see this year if it gives off that really soaring happy Sat high that I like , if it does then I will be happy, it was close last year but was still lacking something.

Hi m8, sounds like a lovely aroma, i wish we still got import hash here. The ole swiss briefcases and even the paki/affie border black putty was lovely. And the tons of blond leb that showed up at a dump and then did the rounds for next to nothing in price was even ok(bit week but was so cheap)
WHilst we still get good and very potent bubble hash ect, the ole imports just had the flavors and aromas to die for.
I had a great conversation with Mr mallard about hash and how old import hash is the mixed cannabinoid profiles of a whole population of thousands and thousands of plants as opposed to most bubble hash being from one or only a few individual plants( except mrmallards bubble, he uses alot of different plants normaly), and the smoking bud is singleing it down to one specific cannabinoid profile. And how the culture of hashish was about the massive population it came from and not a single plant or phenotypical expression. One could feel the whole population in the high/effect, hence the complexity in the old import hash high and aromas/flavors.
Sorry for going abit off topic there mate, but i can feel you know and love your old hash and would love to continue this convo/discussion with you involved :).
much respect

Hi mate......Yep you got that right, I luved my old hash.
I was pretty lucky in West OZ as I did seasonal work as did a lot of my friends, so come off season some of us would head to Indo and up into Thailand on surfing and recreation trips while some went to Goa and Nepal. It was the latter that always bought back a smorgasborg of fine hashes to sample:D But one year one came back with these fine Nepalese hand rubbed Temple balls, so fresh and ohh so tasty, you know the stuff that you feel all the way down into your lungs.
I tell you mate that was the best hash I have ever come across and there was a kilo of it:D
As you say the blond never really did it for me, but some of the blacks where awesome.
There was also some very interesting strains made in West Oz during those days, with us bringing back seeds from Sumatra and Thailand plus the odd bundle of sticks:D Some friends where bringing back seeds from Nepal and surrounding areas......wish I still had some of those crosses:D

Bit of an update on how things are going along.......The MMxMGxMM and a revegging SSH and Nam X Haw.
I have just given all the plants their first compost feed, will do again in 6 weeks.
All of Shanti's strains are revegging nicely, slowest is the BW, but that is because they had solid heads on them.
