Hi BH.....I have these crosses from A, Hashplant Haze x La Con, Kandy Kush x La Con, MK x MMG x La Con and C4 x La Con. Anythng there you think might be good ??

HPHaze and C4 are both old cuts from Nev I think. I remember hearing A talk aboout c1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc.

So I'd go for those, then Nev can tell you what the LA Con has introduced.

@ Kanga.

How old is your Kali mist please brother? we had a stonking mother that we lost & it's just not the same any more even if Simon says he improves his lines we dont agree.

Sounds like you have some nice crosses to mess around with best of luck to all involved....Breeding with Nevs watchfull eye so no preassure there then:D

Right On Kanga!
What a great host you are.
Thanks for the updates, can't wait to see the pics.

Thanks Dr. Purpur and everyone for all the info on LA Con, it looks and sounds like some dynamite stuff.

Hi Mate.....They are all regular seeds
He also gave me the Ghana and a strain from Turkey that are vey nice.....We are having a good look at these, pus some Lebanese Reds that I have, they have a very sweet smell that we both like.
I might give those Hashplant Haze/LCon a go then. All the Hashplant Hazes that I have at the moment look very nice.

Nothing on the reports yet as Nev is still settling in. We have just been taking out males from some of my old seed stock.
We will then start seed from the MM and Oax test buds and hopfully we should have the best Male and females to work with from those.
All the summer plants have now been pollinated, with a few crosses using SSH, MH, BW, Kali Mist and NH.
Of course our main aim is to produce the super sativa using MM, Oax and Nev's Haze.
The Indica side of it will take a bit longer as there is a few to look at and then work out the best cross......Nev's job:D
Anyway all is good and we should have some pics coming soon.

Thanks for the great info

Great new they are regular ,im curious to know more about those red lebs

I look forwad to pics Im curious to know those hashplant haze ,are they from Nevil ? are they f1's ?

Soo no thai buddah has been sourced ? i was hopin Nevil would land those

I look forward to the selections for the super sativa aswell as all the progress,Were all excited for the smoke reports from Nevil

but we really need the F1 stock to get the better cross. The ones I have growing now are a bit to sweet to use and Nev say's this isnt the best of the Best and that is what we need

This is exactly wat i wanted to hear ,i know Nevil said this was goin to be what he invisioned as the grail ,i was hopin it would include the spice of yesteryear .That Oax i thought might bring a sweetness to things but im happy thats not the plan

best wishes

I am sure there is going to be some of these around:D

Hi Blueboy......The seeds that were given to me were from the 97-8 stock, which is before the change.
You like a lot of people who had both strains believe that the latter is not in the same class......Nev was very impressed by the earlier KM. We will have to wait until these plants finish before testing can begin.
Here are some pics

Our's was from 96 stock it was lost in the great chip pan fire of 2001:D

Thanks for taking the time to reply & post those kail porn pics;)

The original KM was killer, it was like a SSH on steroids, yields were very impressive but people complained about how long they went, 12-14 weeks was not uncommon and I thought they were worth that wait. It got reworked so they all went 10 weeks abouts and the quality went, it was like he crossed the original to a skunk or something fast to make it more consistent and faster.

I wonder what the original was? I don't think Simon bred it all on his own because it comes from before he setup Serious seeds and was working with a couple of others guys that went off and setup other seed cos, one was Tony of Sagarmatha and that's why Western Winds by Sag was the same as the original Kali Mist.

I think it's pretty likely that KM is a cross of an Asian sat (Cambodian is talked about) to one of Nev's Haze hybrids, maybe NL5Haze. There is a cutting in Holland called Cambodian Haze, not sure what it is, another hybrid but it's very nice, Soma used to grow it and I've seen and smoked his. If you crossed that Cambodian to a NL5Haze or a Silver Pearl/Haze then I could see it coming out like the original KM. Simon worked at Sensi so he had access to whatever Haze hybrid work Nev left behind there. It's not a clear picture what happened at Sensi after Nev left because they released a load of hybrids that we don't know the lineages of like Marley's Collie, Mother's Finest, Jack Herer, Jack Flash etc, and they all are probably just crosses made from the plants Nev left behind.

So there's a good deal of scope for the possible parents of Kali but I'm pretty sure half of it will be something Nev left behind at the Castle.

i don't speak french but the call haze mist in France. Anyone got some hidden lines in the Riviera?

Well I dont speak french either. We dont call it haze or mist here. We see it all the time. We just call it smoke.

Thats when smoke was smoke,
and groovin was groovin

I don't know Bh the last pack of KM we got there were plants that were indica leaning so you might be onto something with the NL haze cross but I guess we will never know as Simon tells no one what parents he uses which is fair enough as the hacks would be all over it.

@ Dr purp ain't nothing like a slab of meat on a grill:D

C4 is cotton candy From federation seeds and Shiske red. or is this another C4 completely? its offered and bred by chimera seeds. it gives plenty of bang for buck.

Hiya pete

I think Chimera's C4 is unrelated.

However, that Cotton Candy is thought to be NL5Haze I think, if memory serves.

Nev will have to clarify for sure but I think there were numbered cuts, C5 and A5 are two I know of for sure, whether Aaron was right and there were numbers C1, C2 etc I dunno.

Maybe not a long time before..but the La con was out in 03..same as mk

Well, they must not have changed it. I dont see how it could get any stronger then this cut I have.
Gotta admit something to You Guys. I grew one female seed of LA Conf and struck gold. I dont usually grow female seeds. I fuckin scored big time. absolute top shelf snob weed. Its actually stronger then my Headband

Harvest

I just this minute picked 4 more plants, and hung them. LA Conf,Nevilles Haze, Sweet Haze, and Panama. They all look good. They were out in the sun.
Seeds sticking way out on select branches of all

Hello Dr.P, I was wondering what LA Confidential and Headband are? I have heard of these but never seen it or where it came from. Perhaps you can tell me.

Thank you,
Dawn

The LA Conf is OG Kush x LA Affie and is available by seed in both standard and female. It comes from DNA genetics. They have a bad reputation in many circles. That is a good plant though. Its great for pain and stress, and packs a wallop of a headrush.

The Headband is a clone only. The one I have is from Honeydew California, by the Lost Coast, Humboldt county. Headband is a combination of OG Kush, Master Kush, and Sour Diesel. It takes longer to finish then the LA Conf. I let the last set go 11 weeks in bud and it came out perfect. It has a nice strong headrush and quality high too. The flavor is a lemon spice, earthy backbone, fuel. The LA is similar but maybe a rounder sweetness in the Afghani range. It also has some lemon going on it tne mix.
I pollinated both of these with a couple different males of Nevilles Haze. The offspring should be interesting to say the least.

I picked the seeded LA conf plant this evening. It was seeded on 3 branches I think. One cross is Nevilles Haze, One is Mango Haze and one is the Oaxacan/Durban/Oaxacan.
I grew the plant indoors, then took it out for the late winter Sun to finish up. It turned very purple. It wont taste like a purple though. More like a sweet lemon hash cookie.

Hi all.....Well today something special was found that has us both very, very excited, even without a smoke test.
We have found that the early flowering Kariba Surprise (African ) has the frankinsence smell that Nev say's was dominant with the the Haze A male.
It also has a awesome resin content and is so Haze like.
We have some early bud drying now just for a test......hopefully this will be top shelf and will be a new addition to the Grail.

So Bigherb.....dont get to much of a sore hand:D Only kidding of course.
But we have found your Frankie smell.

We would like to thank everyone for not bringing this thread down with the bickering that has been happening of late.
Dr P....Thank you also for your constant photo's of your grows, always enjoyable:D
