The Blood I'm aware of was descended from Colombian stock, had that name because it had red sap so looked like it was bleeding if you broke a stem. There's another one called Sangre Negro which is Black Blood, no idea if they are related but it's another Colombian.
The single leaf trait is very common in sativas, lots do it. The Yucatan Mexican I had for years did it, the Zamal/Nev's Haze I had grew single bladed leaves in veg all the time, I wouldn't attribute it to Thais, the Ghanaian I mentioned grew almost nothing but single bladed leaves once it had got going flowering.
I'm not saying there is some similarity between that Maui and some types of Thai but I am saying that it also has similarities to a few other types of sativa from elsewhere. Hawaii had genetic input from many places so there are a lot of possibilities for it's origins, it's probable it's got more than one bloodline in it's ancestry anyways, most Hawaiians are like that, if the fella up the road didn't pick his males in time you ended up with an unexpected hybrid, in the 70s there would have been a ton of pollen floating around and I doubt many of the Hawaiian lines are the same as they were when they arrived.
