Hey thanks elmer , i have this last girl on 10 hours now she was on 11 hours last week, the colas are all solid and fat , the new growth that the pics show is growth coming out of the surface of the colas lots of stacking cylax , this new growth will continue for many many weeks, way past when the inside of the colas are ripe .. ive seen quite a few plants do this over the years , most of the buds inside the colas have swollen cylax now but still need a little time to fully ripen
i will chop it in 2 weeks as i want the space for my clone run, it is my orange pheno that i am most interested in out of all the plants i have i cant wait to get her running
this mango pheno could be left past 14 weeks i am sure, as it will keep growing the colas are already very fat, i am checking them daily for any signs of bud rot its all good sofar

14 weeks or so huh! If that isn't a Mango Haze pheno...It looks A LOT like Cannatari's mango haze...that is incredible Skunkd0c, kudos to you for letting the one plant in your system finish up...so many would have chopped it long ago.

I am super curious to hear a yield on that plant when it's all said and done! I second the pics being used in the strain description!

Hey sensi thanks m8 , im so glad she is finished now its been a long wait!
i ended up chopping her the day after the pics were taken at 96 days
so she has been drying for 3-4 days now

it took around 5 hours to harvest this plant, cutting the little leaves out of the fox-tailing colas took some time the buds are all very much fox tailed or stacking long buds
the calyx are nicely swollen and hard , there is a nice crystal coverage over all the calyx etc, this bud looks very different to the bud produced by the typical hybrids out there

the yield of this plant is going to be very good the space i have it laid out drying in allows me now to estimate the yield pretty accurately as opposed to on the plant its so hard to judge the yield,
i am looking at something around 20 oz from this plant, it will be over 1lb for sure , when its ready i will update with the correct weight totals and a smoke report n pics etc

there is about 3-4 oz in each of these 32 liter containers in the pic
this mango pheno has taken 6 containers to dry
the flav the second largest yielding plant only needed 2 and a half containers to spread out all the bud for drying

Ill update soon with a smoke report on the mango and some pics of the current grow
the dry weight of the mango pheno was 21 oz and a few grams , which is a very good yield i am happy with that
the high is nice too, the downside for me is the flavor is not the greatest i have had, it reminds me of fruity northen lights, with a kind of perfume taste mixed in, after a long cure the flavor improves but sill its overall disappointing although im not that worried as i hadnt planed to keep it

the good news is the improvement of the flavor of the skunk/haze pheno after a long cure, this one had a very piney smell at first, and incense when burnt this has mellowed alot now and smells very creamy in the jar with a nice vanilla smell, and creamy taste this pheno has improved the most with the cure, i now favor this over both the flav and the jamican grape and have decided to keep the skunk haze pheno
only the orange (angel heart) pheno beats this one now

quick update on current clone run of 11 plants
they are in week two of flower 9 days since 12/12 they are a little over 2.5 ft tall
with an EC of 1.8
5x orange pheno (angel heart)
2x skunk haze pheno (angel heart)
2x flav subcool
2x jamican grape secret valley seeds

i have not removed any weak growth yet i have let them grow into the space ill start chopping them into shape soon when the buds appear
the jamican and the flav have been topped just before flower they were shooting up
the skunk haze and the orange haze have been left untopped

At last a smoke report on the final mango pheno of angelheart !!

sorry for the long delay on this report folks , this was mainly due to my lack of enthusiasm for this pheno once i had smoked the cured nugs
the yield was fantastic but the flavor is not what i like
the taste reminds me alot of northen lights mixed with some kind of soap /talc

the smells during growth was very fruity / peach like with a strong smell of catpiss towards the end
when crumbling this bud it leaves a nice skunky pissy smell on the fingers, sadly this doesn't come through as a skunk in the flavor
its more like soap or talcum powder or perfume mixed with the northen lights taste

the high is potent enough but not as potent as the skunk haze pheno which is the overall most potent of the angelheart phenos

the mango buds produced a huge amount of foxtailing i do not think this is a good thing, it may look pretty but buds that do this do not have as much dense surface area to produce resin .. having said that this plant wins massively on yield being the best yielding of all the phenos at 21 oz dried
the high is pretty much a standard hybrid high, more of a sativa hybrid high than a pure sativa high that you might expect from a 14 week sativa,

Day 17 of 12/12 update lights on pics

Buds are showing now, i have removed a lot of lower leaves and shoots and raised the EC to 2.0

the flav and the skunk haze pheno (left side of the pics) have started to stretch a fair bit i have tied a few of their branches over
i will continue to remove the weaker growth as they develop
the are all over 3ft now
the orange pheno (right side of the pics) has spread out well and filled the space with a nice amount of branches without topping i am pleased with this

this will be my last run of the flav and Jamaican grape, i prefer both phenos of angel heart and have no reason to keep either of the others now

3 weeks update

All is going well i have removed more thinner growth and some leaves from the middle of the canopy
i have also re-trained the flav to grow more towards the Jamaican grape side of the room as it was shading my skunkhaze pheno too much
the flav is very greedy for space and light

im using different bulbs/lamps now
2 of the sodium's i have replaced with colour adjusted hps bulbs they were on offer so i thought id give them a run
i doubt it will make much difference if they were not half price i would not of changed them, so far they seem ok

im now running
1x osram 600w sont plus
1x philips 600w greenpower
1x sylvania 600w grolux

they should start to put the weight on over the next few weeks
as seed plants they had a nice growth spurt from weeks 4-6

the Jamaican grape and the skunkhaze pheno develop bud early and both have visible resin as soon as the buds appear, both of these make the same looking buds early on thin slightly off white pistils in a round shape bud
both of these plants also have more sativa looking leaves

the flav and the orange look similar they are both developing slower and have much thicker fluffy white pistils in a more oval/long shaped bud
both of these have more indica looking hybrid leaves

i noticed some very slight burning /rust on both my Jamaican grape and skunkhaze pheno
i do not like to run individual nutes for individual plants
but as these 2 lead more towards the sativa side and are in different NFT tanks than both the flav and the orange pheno i have decided to run the nutes slightly lower at 1.8 EC for these

the flav and orange have showed no signs of burn and i have kept them at EC 2.0
they are approaching 4ft tall now, the stretch should be in its final week

Nice work SkunkDoc ... A nice demonstration of the value of good cloning practice, two great phenos to carry forward and really explore. Look forward to your take on the two AH phenos over time and repeated exposure.

hey badrabbit thanks for the comments m8 .. these 2 pheno's are very nice and i will run them both for a while yet

its nice to watch them develop on this clone run its a learning process for me seeing how they develop compared to the seed run

i was a little worried the orange angel would not be able to keep up with the other plants.. mainly the flav so i topped the others and left the orange untopped

the orange has filled the space well she starts off growing/looking very indica like, medium fat leaves with very close inter-node spacing lots of thick bottom branching, she looks like she will be an indica bush,
but once flowering is started, the middle branches all shoot straight directly upward getting pretty tall around week 2/3 of flower
these middle brances become as tall as the main cola they also side branch/fork out a fair bit making lots of side branches overall for bud ,
the lower branches stay short and fat, and don't shoot up at all its a pretty strange shape and plant overall ..

the colas seem to develop more stacking type buds with lots of pink pistils, while the lower branches made rounder indica looking buds without the pink pistils
on the next run of orange i am going to let it get a bit bigger in veg and top it so it will make even more colas shooting up to the top as i wont have the flav anymore to worry about size issues

the skunkhaze has really become a nice smoke the very distinct incense/haze smell and creamy taste have become so moreish , this plant smells skunky in early flower and grows like a skunk plant , pretty thin sativa leaves and long floppy branches , with buds that develop early at first nice fluffy pine cone look to them
no real hint of skunk in the flavor its very much on the haze side of flavor , i chopped it at 9 weeks on the seed run, i think this pheno could of gone a week or two longer , i am happy with it at 9 weeks although i would like to see if it improves at 10 or 11 weeks

at 9 weeks the orange pheno seems very mature the cylax were very swollen and pistils mostly brown the orange could maybe even be taken at 8 weeks rather than giving it longer, judging from the seed run
looking forward to seeing how they both turn out
