hey thanks sensi, my 2 keepers are large plants but not that big compared to the mango which im not keeping ..

i like to see plants grow a bit before i top them that was my main point i like to see them have a few shoots etc first
the largest plant i will be keeping for my next run is the flav, this plant is quite a bit larger than both my angel heart keepers, i am/was a little worried that keeping the flav as small as i can my result in my angel heart being too small, that was my height worry ill play it by ear im sure it will turn out ok ill chop them into shape ;)

the buds of the other phenos have been drying for 8 days and are ready to cure
i have been sampling them for a while now so here is a pre cure smoke report on my 2 angelheart keeper pheno's
 
ORANGE pheno The lowest yielding of my 3 keeper pheno's although it does produce the most resin and has the best flavor and is the most photogenic/ visually appealing of the bunch

i like this plant alot it taste great and has a powerful indica stone, the buds are very light in colour compared to all the other buds i have,

with a few thick orange/brown pistils the bud structure is a collection of dense swollen calyx that tend to stack upward or in a small group the calyx are much bigger with this pheno than my other keepers, the flower to leaf ratio of these buds is also very good
everything is great about this pheno other than its lower yield, this can be improved i think on the clone run

the smell of the orange pheno is nice and sweet not a strong or pungent smell,
orange marmalade or orange preserve/jam is the closest thing this reminds me of

squeezing the bud lightly gives out much the same smell only stronger, no skunky or musky smells at all, this bud does not smell like weed .. just sweet orange marmalade OR the same smell of the orange jelly inside jafacakes lol

the smell when smoking is more like a concentrated orange drink like synthetic orange chewy sweets/candy

the taste is very strong with the orange hitting first its mouth watering this stuff a mix of sweet and bitter orange a nice hash like flavor swirls around with the orange with a slight spicy/pepper edge, this taste lingers for a long time after smoking, making this weed very moreish

the high or more of a stone hits fast just a few tokes of a joint and i can feel it hitting hard at the back of my head and behind my eyes, very calm kind of high i feel happy i don't feel like doing anything much on this weed, other than smoking more as it taste so great its a couch lock weed forsure i find this pheno switches my thoughts off the complete oppiste of the skunk/haze pheno, which is quite introspective ..
the orange is great for relaxing and is sleep inducing it puts me out this one .. i score it as follows

skunkhaze pheno next
 
Skunk/commercial haze this one is a better yielding plant than the orange and has pretty good potential with the right training / pruning
it makes nice colas and bud forms all the way down the branches although it doesn't make that many branches it likes to grow slender, topping this and close planting will help it produce a good yield

this bud is more regular looking in its structure than the orange, this one has lots of tiny little cylax densely packed into nice size uniform buds
the buds look quite brown in colour the resin is nicely covered over the buds and also has this brown look

the smell when holding a bud close to the nose is of a pine type smell not a strong pungent smell
squeezing the bud gives off more pine and other chemical type smells along with a musky haze smell
the taste and flavor of this weed is nice, although compared to the orange and the flav the skunkhaze lacks in the flavor department,
the smell left in the room after smoking this is very insence like

where this pheno shines the most is the high, this weed is the most potent i have, and the most potent i have grown in quite sometime, the high is psychedelic , both mind and body i would best describe it as a mild trip with a coachlock edge that holds me in place for the ride, i do not feel any paranoia or any speed like effects with this weed, but at the same time i do not feel sleepy at all
this weed gives me the munchies but at the same time when i am eating i can feel, that the sensation of eating feels a little strange when i think about it , this weed puts me on one for sure .. time distortion and changes in sensitivity to light etc this is not the best weed to smoke when you need to get stuff done .. the body feelings from this weed are very powerful allover
the body rushes like a mild version of acid even my face feels slightly numb on this weed
its very potent

to comfirm its the weed giving me this high and that i wasnt having flashbacks lol
i tested some of this pheno on another smoker who considers himself an experanced "blue cheese" smoker
i am pleased to say after half a joint he became very tight lipped didnt say a word for ages and looked rather white in the face he left my company promptly.

when speaking to mr blue cheese the next day he said, "im sorry i had to leave so quick, that shit you gave me last night leaned on me i couldnt handle it"
i did my best not to laugh and handed him back his zippo lighter he'd forgot when he departed in such a hurry

wow, thanks for the great review and visual tour of the two phenos, the first one is just f'ing gorgeous, both look like fine bud. Look forward to the final report, but thanks for the sharing.

hey thanks badrabbit i am enjoying angelheart its all turned out well
can't wait to see them run as clones, i will get to top them and control the growth alot better,on the clone run
i dont like doing much to seed plants i like to let them grow naturally and observe them to see how they can best be controlled on the clone run

the mango pheno is at 10.5 weeks now she keeps growing new bud faster than anything i think i have seen before

the bud on the colas is so photosensitive if i point a branch in a different direction towards the light new bud growth shoots up climbing up within 2 days or so from many sites on the cola , little new calyx stacking towards the light, this has made the colas look some odd shapes , this pheno it has the potential to make gigantic buds .. and a gigantic yield

i got around 9 oz from my largest flav plant which was a little bit smaller than the pure mango i am sure this pure mango will yield more than flav did
some of the other angelheart and flav pheno's only yielded 2-2.5 oz each there is a great deal of variation in the yield of these pheno's
to a lesser extent but also a factor in their lower yield was these 2 huge plants the flav and the mango pheno took over most of the space in my garden first .. they just out grew everything which took the space and light away from the other smaller pheno's, on the clone run i will be able to give angelheart a space for herself away from the flav to stop flav taking over :)
 
hey greencigar :) , out of the 5 females i started with, 2 of them were very large sativas like mangohaze, i gave one of them to a friend at 3 weeks of flower and only kept the one i have growing now, as it was blocking all the light from my Jamaican grape , so i am sure you will find a fair share of these large mango haze like plants in a single pack of angelheart :)


ill upload some pics at 11 weeks of the pure mango pheno in a few days, the buds have had alot of new growth
this pheno was very fruity smelling upto week 8 or so soft peach kind of smell very nice no weed smell at all
now it stinks raw of mild peach and a strong cat piss smell, its stinking out my room :)

Hey skunkdoc your plants are amazing,i had 1 true mhz pheno that smelt very berry and spicey and was bendy,because it hermed i left it out of the way,i came in one morning and it had fell right over and was lying flat on the floor but its 10 litre pot was perfectly upright,i thought it was snapped but it had just bent right over like rubber and the smell on rubbing the stem by were it bent was like an indian curry house...Great pics skunkdoc...ps.

just taken some pics of my mango pheno at 11 weeks ill upload them later
the peach/apricot smell of this plant is very nice although since week 9 or so, when i walk in the room all i smell is cat piss + petrol

the petrol smell my afghan skunk pheno had is clearly coming through with this mango plant now, dominating the fruity smell in the room
although when smelling the buds directly the fruity smells come through nicely :)

Few pics of the mango pheno at 11 weeks , some of the colas have a nice amount of resin and are dense others still need to develop more
the colas have had a growth spurt from weeks 9 to 11 lots of new bud growth on all the colas

this plant has made around 25 colas that are all tied out horizontally and a small amount of smaller buds , it should yield very well
i dont really want to give her any more time than 14 weeks but ill see how it goes, as she will start to delay my next clone run

Damn skunkd0c,

Now I want to run my MHz next. Everytime I came across sick pics like this of something I have, I force myself to do a multiple, and I mean multiple, strain run. Very nice job growing these bitches out. I'm using string like you to hold up my ak-47 I got going now. Very useful and mandatory or snap, snap, snap. Great job and can't wait to see the finished goods, skund0c.

hey thanks sativaX looking at the mango haze thread pics, the more sativa dom phenos of mhz look very much like this pheno i have of angelheart,
mhz has huge yield potential and some great fruity smoke too :)

Thats what I'm gonna be looking for. A sativa pheno will give me that high I'm looking for with a respectable yield, looking much like yours. Until I get my AH, I'm sure the MHz will be more then pleasurable for my likings. Again, great work skunk0c

mango pheno at 12 weeks flower total grow time 120 days since germination
i have taken cuttings now, so this plant has around 2 weeks left to finish off
i have reduced the light hours to 10 on 14 hours off which might help her finish off over the next 2 weeks roughly until the cuttings are ready to come out of the propagators

she is also running on water only now
the colas and calyx are getting swollen so its all looking good
this thing will just keep growing new stacking calyx out of all the colas until i harvest it each cola looks like it will produce a good yield

i smoked a few small test nugs which were very nice , very fruity apricot / peach taste, i didn't notice any of the incense haze smell like with the skunkhaze pheno, the mango pheno has more of an ammonia catpiss smell when burning combined with a fuel and fruity smell the little nug i had in a baggy made the whole bag smell of ammonia / catpiss smells very strong
it has a much better flavor and smell than the skunkhaze pheno, i am pleased about that since i will have a pretty large yield of this and i wouldn't wanna end up with something that tasted shite :)
