Greetings all,
Bit of an update. Currently we have 15 females, 9 males and 1 still left to show. The males have all been culled and i have also decided to grow out the 15 females, couple of reasons for this. This is my first time flowering under LED so bound to be some trial and error getting that dialed in as i move away from HPS but also, i'm not growing for yield or profit but to try and find an example of the widow i remember from the late '90's, so by flowering these ladies now I should at least be able to get a gauge on their feeding habits and flowering times etc so that when it comes to making selections further down the line I already have a data set for each of these phenos.
So, with that said, here we are at day 2 of 12/12
As you can see, quite a few different phenos but this plant is still by far my favorite, not of the others have grown the same, have the same structure or internode spacing on the side branching.
Just hope she finishes in under 10 weeks so she makes it through to the next round but so far she is defo the stand out. Still has a tropical/musky smell when disturbed but now seems to developed a distinct grapefruit note too. I'm really looking forward to seeing how she does - hopefully the stretch is kind as currently only about 60cm of headroom left for her to grow into and ideally i don't really want to train or top her.
Right now they are currently being fed on 3ml/l of Old Timer Grow and 2ml/l of root stimulator.
Things i need to get done this week:
- Make some kind of support for them
- Give them another spraying with neem oil to finish off any remaining thrips left in the room (still noticing some leaf damage though not as bad as before)
- Take cuttings from each plant
- Defoliate all the lower vegetation once cuttings have been taken
- Add a wall mounted fan to aid with circulation.
That's about it for now, thanks again for all the support, will update again in a week or so or when something exciting happens.
Take it easy.
