Three of my favorite places when I visited Spain. It's been 17 years since I was there and the images still remain. The artwork, detail and craftsmanship was stunning. The cable car up to Montserrat is worth the price of admission. The Goya paintings on the domes of Zaragosa's Cathedral are ethereal. I have yet to see anything in the US that comes closes to that kind of craftsmanship and detail. And of course winding up the trip in Barcelona, Gaudi's Sagrada Familia was awe inspiring. Sadly, today they have become tourist traps.

Roots

Location: Auger Falls Trailhead, Sacandaga River, Adirondack Mtns., NY

Lots of rock and boulders here with very shallow soil.
Most of the tree roots grow above ground.
Legend has it that pot-growing gnomes
live amongst the roots. I would have to
see it before I could believe such nonsense!

Hi jahnova,

Wow, nice pics. Is this in beni mellal?

What a nice spot to meditate or just hang out.
Gotta love waterfalls, something special about them :)

Yeah, it's amazing to just sit there and contemplate on the Oneness in Creation.

In Winter months these waterfalls can get humungous, water flows down the hills in little streams into the Sea of Galilea. 6-7 months per year (straight) we get 0 rain and then there's nothing to see... no waterfall, just a pile of basalt rocks. It started snowing in our area, closer to Lebanon/Syria. If I can get there, I'll take some pictures and share here.
