Edit to expand: I've seen you on a few forums, and more recently on the Nev haze thread where they requested people not to use ai in it. I would love to try using some ai myself

No can do on the copies, that's almost 10 years of cut and paste work for me.

But I will share with you how I did it. My initial interest with Nevil was Northern Lights, so I would put Northern Lights in the search box and use Nevil as the author. Every one of his posts that came up, I would cut and paste the textual content into a text file.

I used that massive file and then started adding to it as a dove into NL/Hz. Then I just uploaded the massive text file to both GPT and Gemini, and had them categorize, collate, and evaluate his posts, and only his posts, from here on MNS.

I'll be posting a lot of the data on the SouthEast Lights website because I don't want to piss off people here, like I did on the other forum.

Got to tell you, I'm thinking about using AI to assist me in developing a book on Nevil's growing methods and philosophies. Here's part of the intro I'm working on now:

Im not sure wats wrong with that guy. Although a couple years after " the man who would be king of cannbis" article got published that guy rented a huge mansion himself and tried to do something similar but got cought.
What he and some others forget is, nevil had been breeding since a young boy. He was tought practicly, as to begin with a gentleman tought him how to breed small birds, so he wasnt just reading books he got to see the actual results of what would happen. And to say nevil hadnt read a single book like that guy lived in nevils pocket all of nevils life is very far fetched as nevil new the mendels laws of genetics and inheratance very well (shanti baba and one or two others still have pictures of the chalk boards and the mendle gentics charts nevil was drawing on the boards in the early 90's wen predicting the genral results of things he was using and working on) Later on nevil hadnt only bred cannabis, but other animals too, and had entered other breeding competions. From most of the people in that seed industry open to most of the world in those early years as far as i can remeber it was only nevil who had that much experince in breeding, to were he probably alread had 20 odd years under him manipulating gentics of all sorts to wat he wanted. Nevil was also already reversing plants in the 80's and even making seed from single males. Other breeders that guy talks about as documented didnt even atempt this till over 20 years later with males in 2009-2010 wich is documented and with females till 2006 . The absoublute dominance in the industry of genetic material nevil put together and put out that has dominated the industry fot nearly half a centry speaks louder than any nonsense and achivements others made. According to Nevil's own story, he first picked up a Mel Frank book in 1981, started selling seeds that he collected in a coffee shop in 1984, and when Greg met him in the summer of 1984 he had ditch weed growing in his backyard that never finished.

In 1984, Nevil's typed-up page that represented his seed catalog, literally said that he could not vouch for any of the seeds because he had not grown any of them himself.

In July 1984 Nevil had a good fortune of meeting Skunkman and purchasing Skunk #1, Hindu Kush, California Orange, Durban Poison, Afgan #1, Indy Sat, and many other work varieties from California. in late 1987 Skunkman Sam gave Nevil 2 male Haze plants to breed with and Haze hybrids first appeared in Nevil catalog in 1988.

In August 1984 Nevil had a good fortune of meeting Seattle Greg, who initially thought he could work with Nevil selling seeds, but within one year, Nevil had ripped him off and they stopped working together. Greg provided Nevil with the Northern Lights hybrids #1 through #11, but Greg specifically did not send the "Purest Indica" seeds to Nevil because he did not want Nevil to be able to make the Northern Lights hybrid without him.

According to Greg, when Greg first visited the "Cannabis Castle" in the winter of 1985, Nevil did not know how to germinate seeds because he had seeds in rockwool that were soaking wet sitting on a concrete floor in a cold damp basement, asking Greg why they weren't germinating. Nevil had powdery mildew on all of his plants and he did not even know it was a problem. Nevil thought it was part of the cannabis plant according to Greg.

According to both Greg and Skunkman, Nevil was a clueless new grower in 1985 and not even close to an experienced breeder by any measure.

After Thailand, Nevil’s habit was really out of control. Upon arriving in Holland, he immediately enrolled in a methadone program and discovered he required 24 tablets a day to stay straight. "I handled that for about six months.- he says. “I was trying to cut down, trying to fit in. I had unemployment benefits, which is enough to survive in Holland. But I was feeling quite lonely.” Six months later, he moved to Tillberg, the center of Holland’s smack scene.

Obviously, Tillberg was not the sort of environment conducive to kicking heroin. Junkies had taken over the city, converting pubs and hotels into shooting galleries. “My first day in town, I went to a bar called the Lawyer’s Purse,” says Nevil. “Smack was being sold up and down the counter. It was a madhouse. Apparently, the police didn’t—or couldn’t—do anything about it. It went on like that for quite some time. When the police would close one place down, everyone would move to another bar. It was a fairly rough town and I went through a time of hardship. I had no money except welfare. I had a raging habit."

My two reasons for sharing this McCormick interview:

1. McCormick never says, at any time, that Nevil didn't know what he was doing," not even close; although he does claim that Nevil's "addictions" shaped his life, work and relationships. That is a side of his character that I was unaware of.

2. It provides court document evidence which names the POS who snitched on Nevil, and it's not DW (SS), contrary to popular opinion.

How is it that cogo "snitched" on Nevil? The first grand jury that got the indictment was in February 1990 then in July cogos affidavit was in AUGUST 1990. Nevil left the Netherlands in May arriving in Australia in May then he and his council went to the police in July cogo affidavit wasn't until August. If you want to know who was subpoenaed before the grand jury that got the indictment...

Maybe he didn’t mention in this pod cast but elsewhere are you sure he didn’t mention that Nevil didn’t know what he was doing ? About the addiction is a hit under the belt and you can read his intention from this statement.
How he knows so well about his addictions and if he had stopped and when?
Do you know that some others in this scene are alcohol addicts and nicotine addicts and more ?
their work is all that matters in the end of the day .

The fact they snitched him I will say have shaped more his life and relationships. If you want to source real information about Nevil and what have happened back in the days and learn who is who I recommend you to talk with people that where near him and they are not that many.maybe his best friend for example .

The search of truth is along path I have done wrong conclusions before and I have learned my lessons

How did cogo snitch or inform on Nevil when his affidavit was in AUGUST 1990? The Grand jury was clearly in February 1990 and in July 1990

According to Nevil's own story, he first picked up a Mel Frank book in 1981

to Greg, when Greg first visited the "Cannabis Castle" in the winter of 1985, Nevil did not know how to germinate seeds

So, then, it seems that either Mel Frank did a shit job on explaining the germination process in his book, which I highly doubt, or Nevil never studied that section of Frank's book, which I also highly doubt.

For the record, in 1976, when I was just 15 yrs old, I purchased the Marijuana Grower's Guide, by Rosenthal & Frank, and studied it from cover to covee, at least a few times. It was literally my cultivation Bible, at that time. I would regularly skip school classes to go hang out in the school library for hours just to study that book. I can't imagine Nevil owning Mel Frank's book and not devouring every page of it, several times over.

So, I take whatever McCormick claims Greg said, about Nevil's knowledge of seed germination, in 1985, as a gross misinterpretation of the facts. IF Nevil actually asked for Greg's opinion about why the seeds weren't germinating, I suspect it was for some other reason than him being "ignorant" or clueless about the germination process.

Assuming this is an accurate accounting of the facts, I suspect Greg is reading way too much into it, or misinterpreting what was actually going on.

Nevil had powdery mildew on all of his plants and he did not even know it was a problem. Nevil thought it was part of the cannabis plant according to Greg.

Once again, it's hard for me to imagine Frank's book didn't cover the topics of powdery mildew and mold prevention, or treatment; and just as hard for me to believe that Nevil never devoured every page of it, from cover to cover.

It's more likely that he was pretending to know nothing in deference to Greg, and trying to pick Greg's brain, to extract some useful knowledge.

Greg provided Nevil with the Northern Lights hybrids #1 through #11, but Greg specifically did not send the "Purest Indica" seeds to Nevil because he did not want Nevil to be able to make the Northern Lights hybrid without him.

So, are we to assume from this that NL #1 & #2 were not pure indicas? If Nevil received true F1 NL seeds, then he obviously F2-ed them and had pure indicas to select from for working the other lines with. It's not difficult for me to imagine him breeding out the sativa influence in NL#5, if he was given true F1 NL#5 seed to work with.

I've read a post by @charlesufarley , on another forum, that quotes Seattle Greg as saying that he could NOT comment of Nevil's work with NL#5; in terms of how he may have altered it, from what it was, when he first received it, from Greg. That implies to me, that the NL#5 he received from Greg was NOT an IBL, but still an F1 hybrid that could be altered and taken in a different direction.

According to Nevil's own story, he first picked up a Mel Frank book in 1981, started selling seeds that he collected in a coffee shop in 1984, and when Greg met him in the summer of 1984 he had ditch weed growing in his backyard that never finished.

In 1984, Nevil's typed-up page that represented his seed catalog, literally said that he could not vouch for any of the seeds because he had not grown any of them himself.

In July 1984 Nevil had a good fortune of meeting Skunkman and purchasing Skunk #1, Hindu Kush, California Orange, Durban Poison, Afgan #1, Indy Sat, and many other work varieties from California. in late 1987 Skunkman Sam gave Nevil 2 male Haze plants to breed with and Haze hybrids first appeared in Nevil catalog in 1988.

I dont know man. All i know is i have never seen real good plants coming out of any of that other breeders "Haze" lines but have seen and grown plenty coming from Nev's lines. I just let the weed do the talking.
