Mango Haze and Mango Haze IBL, in search of a keeper

Last edited:
Today I harvested 4 Mango Haze's.
Smells have peeked for me for these pheno's, resins looks mostly milky with some amber.
This means one thing: 🪓-time

MH#8 is a nice 🦊tailing lady, a favorite by looks for me and @eazynz!
She smells sweet, hashish-like with mango tones and a kind of dry smell.

Next was MH#7, she is a big lady with delicate sativa calyxes.
Interesting bud structure with a floral, mango fruity smell.

MH117(7).jpgMH118(7).jpgMH119(7).jpgMH120(7).jpgMH121(7).jpg

Both are very nice mango ladies!

Next up is MH#2.
She caries the best traits from her sativa and indica pedigree and this results a perfect blend by looks!
Nice fat and solid buds with a smell that is equally skunky as mango.
Smell is fuller/ rounder on this pheno.

The last for today is MH#4.
Now this is MANGO🥭🥭🥭!
No doubt about it, smells like a delicious ripe mango.
Glad I found a full blown mango pheno!
She looks nice too.

Only 2 Mango Haze's left.

She's a stunner @Swifty 😍 Jimi Hendrix foxy lady springs to mind 😄 I've grown one plant that looked similar way back and was surprised how much weight she kept when dry, potent also. Mango haze is top of my list 😃

That makes two of us.😊

Not easy to do, I once heard a wise man say:

And it works too!

Holding your breath and waiting until your heart made a beat also.😅

Our photography teacher used the marksman analogy. Gently squeeze trigger vs pulling trigger, etc. How a marksman lets some air out of his lungs before shooting. I raised my hand and asked, "Most infantry men are marksmen, how about breathe like a sniper? They take better shots(pun intended)." All part of practice, practice, practice. Generally, exhale, pause, shoot between heartbeats, inhale. If you don't shoot rifles you can use a 300mm or bigger telephoto and focus on something small. No tripods or anything, just freestanding. You might be surprised how much your subject moves off target. The focal length exaggerates camera shake. Practice breathing and calming yourself down until you are steady as a sniper. When that shot comes up that you really want you won't have to hope you can calm down. It is a skill you have practiced and learned. Just like a sniper!;)

Navy Seal snipers do a form of breathing called Box Breathing or 4444 breathing. Works well for photography also.

Longball

Today is day 99 of flowering in the tent.
Mango Haze#5 is left (right pot) and 6 Neville's Haze Mango's, they are over 14 weeks and will be harvested next week.

I'm very pleased with how it went.
Quality of the resin is good (very fragrant) and should give me a correct insight of each individual in the smoke test.

Last picture of the tent:

The last MH#5 also smells strong like 🥭's:

Mango Haze#5 is the most sativa leaning female and she smells very 🥭-like with a vicks vaporub twist.
I harvested her @101 days of flowering.

My Mango Haze journey ends here for now, I fell in love with this strain.
Mango Haze is a strain for the soul, smoking her for some time brings positivity and well being.

LEGEND.

Thank you for following and thanks to Shanti for this.🙏💚

My Mango Haze journey ends here

Superb document Swifty, it's been a pleasure to follow along.

The Mango Haze seed I popped a few weeks ago was cloned a couple of times and then put into flower at around 6 inches tall, kept in a small 3'' pot. As soon as I got a glimpse of tiniest female flower pistils viewed through a loupe I re-potted her into her final still smallish pot, thing about 3 to 4 litres. Hopefully she won't hit the ceiling...

I'll see if I can take some photos along the way and maybe even try and upload them. Always crap with shit like that... photos too big, too small, too this and too that, lol, really does my head in. And then the internet will drop out as I'm uploading...

Thank you Mmmmnice.😊
Not all pheno's are heavy stretchers, hope you are lucky.🍀

It would be great if you could share your plant, always nice to see what other people find!

Greetings.

Excellent growing and logging. Makes me want to grow some mango haze.

Was the last straw of mango haze seeds you planted also purchased in 2011, or was it a later date? Your first batch looked a bit more sativa leaning than the last batch.
Thank you Marcus_in_the_Darkus.
That last straw was also bought in the same period, I had 2 of the Mango Haze and 1 of the Mango Haze IBL.
I found the Mango Haze's fairly similar but the Mango Haze IBL was much more sativa compared to the Mango Haze.

Mango Haze is definitely a strain I would recommend to others, the taste and smell is ok but the high is special and of very high quality for me.

Here's my Mango Haze at around 8 weeks, overfed a bit and now slowly coming back on track. Sensitive to feeding, or I pulled the trigger too soon... Probably the latter.

Topped her twice, she was going nuts during the initial stretch, so there are now 4 main tops on her. This one is the closest I could reach to get a half decent photo.

Smells mangoey.

You have a more sativa leaning lady, she behaves and looks to be a queen.
Interested to see how she develops!

Mango Haze#5, this is it for me.
Mango taste, potent, uplifting and enhances my mana.
She is better than my previous #11 keeper.
I'm grateful to have found this lady.🙏

MH147(5).jpg

She has a great positive high with long legs, no edge.
Warm expansive feeling with great clarity and gentle comedown.

🥇
