Mango Haze and Mango Haze IBL, in search of a keeper

Let's get this thread rolling!

The shed is cleaned and already populated with all the females clones of the plants you saw earlier here.

- 6 Mango Haze's IBL (Blue tags).
- 8 Mango Haze's (Purple tags).
- 1 Super Silver Haze for reference (Red tag).

Plagron Light Mix amended with 140ml Bat Guano (bottom half of the pots) in 20L buckets which are 4/5 filled.

The plan is to give them a short veg of maximum 7 days and start with flowering in order to have a manageable canopy (no topping).
Lighting is a 315w CMH, a 240w Led, 300w Led and a 150w Led.

Led's are at 75% and CMH at 315w, distance 60cm to the plants.

With transplant they had their first feeding of 0,8ml/L Silic Rock, 0,8ml/L Calmag Pro and 1ml/L Alga Grow in rainwater.
Temps are around 24°C, RH around 50%.

They where tied to the poles after I took the pictures.

I hope to find a new Mango Haze mom to accompany SSH.🤞

The Mango's are growing good, flowering will start tomorrow.

I hope that they will finish around the end of oktober, that is 12 weeks from now and just before it starts to become really cold outside.🤞

I see some pheno's that are already showing the same vigor as the SSH, looks promising.

Cuts for new moms will be made within the next week, branches are a little bit to short now.

Feeding and lighting is still the same, next feeding will be with Alga Bloom.

Last day of veg:

Looking great!

Day 3 of flower,

Lighting is at 345w CMH, led's are at 85% and distance is aprox. 50cm to the plants.
They receive 12.15h lights off and 11.45h lights on.
I upped the wattage in order to keep the DLI in the same range as before flower.
It is still guessing since I don't own a quantum meter yet but I see that they respond wel to it.

They are fed 1ml/L Silic Rock, 1ml/L Calmag Pro and 1ml/L Alga Bloom in rainwater.
I see some light yellowing on the tops of some leaves, the SSH does it again this round. Something I need to look further into.

Temps are around 23°C, RH around 55%.

General overview (before watering):

Mango Haze IBL #6 has a nice leaf serration:

MHIBL68Nice.jpg

Mango Haze IBL #1 is still the most thin leaved of them all :

MHIBL69Nice.jpg

The #1 is still going outside but has taken a beaten from strong winds and tiping over. Her smell has changed and she smells like a kind of perfume and also moss/soil.
Will post a pic of her next update.

From now on weekly updates.

"If I could I would be over there helping now. :("

I sure bet that you would be, @Swifty! That's why I ❤️ you, man! :) The plants are supple and flexible, like Autoflower girls ;), no harm done!

"More rain than ever in July and August, an average temperatur of ~18° C and 70-80% RH."

'Yeah, I am not digging this global warming all that much, @Mr. Brown. Bring me back to the 'cooler' old days when it was warmer and drier!

It is real... but mislabeled as someone saw fit :(

Global changes of weather are real, yet not global warming, it is „if“ just one of many phenomenoms...

For real no one really knows what will happen next...

But it is sick time in some ways... Look how they want us to drive more battery cars, (that can catch flame and burn on ship for few weeks), rather then having small engine poetrol car :/

Your plants will be OK :)
But it could be less rainy out there

Mango Haze IBL#1 day 81 of flowering.
She has taken a beating from hard winds and has spent many days under the roof from the shed hiding from rain.
The smell is weird, it is hard to describe and it is still changing. Reminds me of my OHxSK but with a perfume like background.
I have the impression that she is starting to become purple (calyxes).

A branch broke of a good week ago and I vaped it yesterday.
I was not expecting much but I was very wrong, Heavy and very psychedelic high with a long duration.
We will see how the mature flowers smoke.
Still 2 weeks minimum to go.

Here are some close ups:

Day 10 of flower,

Everything is on track except how much they have grown.
I don't seem to be able to judge how much they will grow after veg...

3 Mango's (2MH IBL and 1 MH) are of the same caliber and posture as the SSH reference cut.
When opening the shed I already smell incense and sweeter smells.

Lighting is at 345w CMH, led's are at 100% and distance is aprox. 45cm to the plants.
They receive 12.15h lights off and 11.45h lights on (by the end of the week 11 on and 13 off).

They are fed 1ml/L Silic Rock, 1ml/L Calmag Pro and 2ml/L Alga Bloom in rainwater.
I still see some light yellowing on the tops of some leaves from certain plants, it is becoming better.

Temps are around 25°C, RH around 50%.

They are rearranged according to size, lots of different pheno's.
I made cuts for new moms from all of them this week.

Some closer pics from this morning.
Tips are yellow on now almost all plants, it does not seem to bother them.
They were al preaching to the lights this morning.

I think that is does not hurt them much but I can't seem to figure out what the problem could be?

Here are some close ups:

Here you see them better from a distance:

Thanks for any help!

Well, @Swifty, I am much more comfortable when you are helping me rather than the other way around. My first thought was if just one strain and high on the plant maybe too close to the lights for that strain. From time to time, when lights are too powerful for a space the tops don't get burned but tips get yellow all over. Something to keep in mind until I can make up something better. Hope that helped! :)

It also looks like a few of the leaves and tips are curling just a bit. That, and yellow tips, often point to the lights just being a wee bit too powerful at this stage of a plants life. Maybe your reflective walls are reflecting too much? In the example below, the tops are not burning but tips are yellowing everywhere and there is some curling. The lights were raised a bit and the problem went away.
yellow tips.jpg

Perhaps the PH at the root level is not correct?

After that, possible enviromental stresses can cause yellow tips. Things like heat, cold, low humidity, or poor air circulation, even overwatering. Sometimes it is simply giving too much water too fast. Sometimes the amount is not too much but how fast that amount is poured onto the soil. I'm sure that you thought of these things but sometimes throwing things out there will spark up nostalgia an idea that will head you in the right direction.

Also, in the last picture, bottom center, it looks like some leaf tips are turning down like maybe the fan is too strong there? Is there even a fan there? Ok, I need a few minutes to make up more stuff! ;)

Hopefully something here will help. Please keep us updated if you see other symptoms or solve the problem! I am rooting for the latter.

Hey @Swifty.
I’ve had the exact same look on my leaves many times before but outdoors and in pots. I have generally thought it was an imbalance in my soil, as I make my own, and/or too much rain/water causing imbalances from nutrient wash out or pH change etc. I’m not saying I’m right at all I’ve just put it down to that and generally the problem has fitted with something I’ve done/not done or noticed during the season. I find if you have found the issue or are trying to resolve it don’t pay too much attention to the existing browning leaves pay more attention to the new growth and how it’s performing. Sorry if I’m telling you how to suck eggs haha.
Here are a couple of pictures to look at too.7142591B-6B67-4D59-B9DC-B9FCF929F14C.jpegD093DDB4-9B26-4E57-B29B-1A986F64F88E.jpeg5251D973-FBB9-4984-929E-5CF3845F1150.jpeg
There is a huge rabbit hole to go down with plant health/metabolism etc but you will have to really search through a lot of ‘not so useful’ information too.
For me the last couple of times I have had this I let the pots dry out and have added more gypsum or a small amount of left over milk powder for more calcium. Again I’m not saying I’m right.

Hope this helps and doesn’t confuse
Cheers
