I've fallen, and I can't get up! Pass the Medicine Man...😷

Step by step with the inputs. Simple soil and water to start with. And sometimes it is that one "bag" of soil that is used that may be bad.
@Proud Kraut makes a good case for CalMag as plants seem to want to grow quicker under LED. So they need nutrient. They look like they could use more N to increase biomass and the stretch appears their need for light. If you change feed, wait a week to see any change. Get them closer like 24". If the LED has a dimmer switch, cut light by 50% then increase and observe response. I'm finding the sweet spot with these lights is 50-75% power. Don't rely on meters, look to your plants for answers. Take your plants off the floor if you can. If not a small table for elevation then at least those foam pads that @Swifty uses would be perfect. Did you see my post on microbes? There is only one that currently has known affinity to cannabis. Plants have been growing for millions of years without our help. If I have learned anything from this soul-filling hobby is don't overlove them.

It's interesting to read the sweet spot for the LED's @musashi. First grow with them was a touch disastrous using Max light. Huge lesson. Put latest plants under them at 25% which is the minimum and a metre above the canopy. Have slight leaf discolouration on 2 and have raised light to the Max. Previous plants were pretty healthy at 75% in late flower but burnt and bleached at 100%
Have been pondering this and believe you just confirmed what I was thinking.

i just wanted to clarify this before giving any chances to drift off into the usual and well known Hazebattles of the WWW...

The way I see this, and is simply an opinion. It was Nevil and Shanti with Haze A and Haze C which put Haze on the map, for the entire world. Simple as that. If I want "real" haze. Then I need Shantibabas genetics becuase he has Haze C, which is what all lf the foundational Haze hybrids were comprised of.

Having said that. I relish the Idea of searching for parrallel haze lines to work into legit Mr. Nice Haze genes. But I would consider the Mr. Nice Haze to be the "true haze" becuase that is the Haze that got the world lit.

Where Nevil got his haze is inconsequential, fascinating for sure. But in the end, it is still of little significance.

In the end, am I getting quality product and something which helps elevate my life.

Exactly. They put it on the (global)map. Period. Think before it was a loose coined term afterwards it became something more solid in every aspect.
Guess thats why certain individuals still mad to this day because theyre sour about beeing peripheral figures in this process that have never had the same impact with their work.

I can see some parallel lines floating out there worth the name and having similar background but the real Haze work as i was abled to experience has come from these circles for sure, fhats why i signed up here, doing a little homework before jumping off the deep end.
@musashi s fault im all over the place i tried to stay low key but he motivated me somehow to contribute because i recognized he really loves this community and i endorse it... ;)

Back into the Haze NYC mainly hail the Piff and Cuban Black Haze and somehow these lines have been also woven in the mystery around it.
Ive heard countless opinions but it still comes down to a few chunks of truth shining thru from time to time.
The Bandaid Haze for example which is held in high regards across the pond also seems to be offspring that made a great impact so to say it became a thing of its own.
Seems many lins that are considered American heritage have at least one parent that was bred in the Netherlands...
We got Diesel with estimated Sensi Super Skunk, we got Skunk itself which was brought over, further worked in Suropee and reexported, it surely was good before but the Dutch seedbanks and smoke culture made it commeercially big and im talking seeds here. Before it was underground now seeds of branded lines are sold. That changed the game right there.
And for me that is where Haze also started and Nevil was the main man working all that. Could he do it without all the countless generations before? No.
No one can in no field of work.
But what he did changed the game and we would'nt have the same global cannabis scene without him, no doubts about it.
Still many do great work and many contributed, @shantibaba keeping the flame lit for us, god bless you.
Im happy to be here and soon a pack of straws will give me the opportunity to understand and experience more.
Really curious how the Haze A vs Haze C vs Haze AC lines express themselves.
Space and time beeing the only limiting factors right here...the trouble of beeing mortal men...can be forgotten and maybe overcome by a good Haze...
Thank you all for making this experience happen.

BTW has anyone grown all MNS Haze lines before? Maybe @Jahnova ?

Have a good one fellas...

I'm a rookie when it comes to my new LED lights ha. But I read and experiment just like y'all to see what might work best for my situation.

And we have all tried several soils and amendments during our growing time. I too have had a bag or two of bad soil which resulted in subpar results. I lifted this from the SilverHazed Mind thread:
Out of my perspective this strange soilmix looks like a blend of bark not properly broken down, probably the C eats the N (and also other nutes) before it reaches the plants and this also could be way too wet and acidic because thats how bark happens to supress weeds, they used it over here to keep the earth covered and nothing really grows where you have a layer of that stuff. I could be wrong but the bulpy mycos i see remember me to the ones you find on that type of bark and also the structure and color looks like it. I'd switch the brand next time.
This idea of not properly matured soil and it's acidity has @Proud Kraut zeroing in on part of the problem I believe. The acidity can cause P to become fixed to other elements and thus unavailable. Reduced P availabilty could be the reason for reduced root mass as shown in post #68 (https://mrnice.nl/forum/media/mm-biggest-roots-jpg.4145/full). If this is indeed the problem then calcium additives can remedy this. An organic alternative would be biochar and certain composts. Either way, increased soil pH results in P availability.

Update: They are bouncing back, there is some new growth! There isn't a ton of new growth yet, but I can definitly see some. MM#3 is about 3/4" taller.

It looks like they took fairly well to the transplant. There are two plants I noticed which look a bit off, where all the others are greening up and improving. MM#12 it's leaf tips are turning yellow. Another has its fan leaves getting lighter but but the veins are green.

My camera batteries are dead, I left it on accidentally last time😅. I'll charge them and try to take a photo tomorrow. Honesty though, It may not happen until the weekend. My father is flying in from out of state to visit. So, I may be busy for the next several days 😅

I watered them today with tap water, 1/8 tsp/gal of Kelp it real, 1/4 tsp/gal of michorazae (@musashi I still need to check the species of Michorazae in my brands I have), and 1 ml per gal of cal mag. @Proud Kraut powdered gypsum was unfortunately out at my local hydro shop. 😆 I ph'd this to 6.7

I'll update after my Father leaves, assuming I don't take the pics tonight.

Stay sane in this crazy world, my friends.

We have confirmed pronouns! I repeat, two confirmed males and two confirmed females as of last night! These are only preflowers, still 18 on 6 off, but hurray!

I'll be taking clones of my fems in a week for flowering. At the Medicine Mans current growth rate, i shpild be able to clone them in 2-3 weeks.

I can finally smell medicine at the end of the tunnel.

Diesel840

The Medicine Man are looking great; several of them are even showing preflowers. Out of the chemovars they are the oldest and second largest group in the tent. Leaf shape is all fairly similar with some being slightly more slender or slightly shorter. They are all sprouting new leafs at the bottom nodes where the previous leaves had fallen off from stress. This will help tremendously since I will be taking clones off them while still quite small. I'm hoping in two weeks.

I'll post a photo of the whole tent first.

The current ones showing female preflowers are MM#1, MM#5, MM#6, and MM#14a. Unfortunately, I don't have a macro lens, so no photos of the pistils. The whole straw is still kicking though, and four confirmed females. Looking on the up and up.

I hope there will be enough medicine for your needs!
I'll be flowering out clones' sea of green style to find a pheno which best treats my pains and sciatic. I won't get more than an 1/8 or so from any particular pheno. But I should get a general idea. It will just be for personal medical use, so much isn't needed. My norm is a few plants, tops. I'm just so tired of always hurting. Besides, at this rate, it could negatively affect my job if I don't get it managed and under control. I refuse to become a victim of unnecessary pharmaceuticals.

@Diesel840 said: "which best treats my pains and sciatic."

Hi Diesel840! :)

Not sure where you live or what you have done for your sciatica but I will suggest looking into Active Release Technique(ART) if in USA. They deal with soft tissue injuries, nerves, like your sciatic nerve. Most Doctors/Therapists who treat sciatica are not trained to treat specific nerves. 16 months ago I suffered a catastrophic injury to one of my arms. My Ulnar Nerve had to be relocated. The Ulnar Nerve runs from your neck, through your shoulder, down thru your elbow and wrist to your little finger and ring finger. It also controls most of the little muscles in the hand that help with fine movements, and some of the bigger muscles in the forearm that help you make a strong grip. My Cubital Tunnel (Ulnar Nerve runs thru this at the elbow) also had to be relocated and rebuilt.

After a year of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and myo-fascial release therapy, I still had pain, numbness, and tingling, from shoulder to fingertip. After a year of the usual therapy I was still unable to touch either my ear or nose unless I used my good hand to lift it there. Someone turned me on to ART. The therapists get certificates of certification for the different nerves. The one I go to has many certificates(continual learning and renewal), but most importantly for me, she is trained for the Ulnar Nerve. After the very first session I had a marked reduction in pain, numbness, and tingling(I am allergic to painkillers so this is important, also why I grow CBD). Also, after that first visit, I was able to touch my ear and nose for the first time in over a year! While my arm injury was so catastrophic that I will never be able to lift more than 5 pounds for the rest of my life, it is comforting to know that I can now scratch my ear or pick my nose should the need ever arise, thanks to ART.

Wishing you Good Luck with your Medical grow.

Seems that you're back on track (y)

Nice set up and good looking plants (y)

My Azamax and new pump-pressure sprayer just came in. I had ceased My IPM for a while becuase of the plants previous state.

Now that they are chugging along, I want to treat them to a week long 3-4x IPM treatment before taking clones. I haven't seen any trace 🕷 of yet. But best to treat ahead of time.

I am so overwhelmingly excited to be so close to FINALLY prepping clones of my first Mr. Nice Genetics. Thanks to @shantibaba and everyone on the forum for everything so far.

The Medicine Man look amazing and I could probably take clones immediatly, but I want to do this right. I would feel horrible If I fucked up flowering like I did germination.

The legendary WhitRhino/Medicine Man. I can't wait!
