Hello friends of fine and mindful consumption,

Good evening to all of you.

I have a quick question. My Silver Haze from Sensi Seeds is now about four weeks into flowering, around day 30. In the beginning, she developed really well, and the buds were progressing nicely too. The first pistils appeared, everything looked great, and the stretch went as expected.

Now, however, after the stretch, she seems a bit fluffy and airy. Since I don't have a great deal of experience with Haze varieties, I wanted to ask whether I should be concerned.

I'll attach a few photos so you can have a look. I'd really appreciate some feedback, especially from you, Swifty, if you have the time.

Does everything look normal for a Haze at this stage, or could the heat and humidity be contributing to the fluffy, stretchy flower structure?

To be honest, after seeing the pictures of your grow with the Pearl pheno of the NH, I'm not overly worried, but I'd still love to hear some opinions from growers with more Haze experience than me.

No worries PennyP, everything looks normal for a sativa dominant plant.
I would say even on point!
The environment certainly plays a roll in how the express themselves but the smoke should be just as nice.
How long does this cut flowers usually?
Does she smell already?

Sensi Seeds lists the flowering time at around 65 to 75 days, although personally I’m thinking it will probably be closer to 75–80 days... if that’s even enough.

And yes, she has a really nice stem rub already. The first trichomes on the branches and sugar leaves are developing, and the aroma is extremely citrus-forward — more lemon than anything else — with a very subtle secondary note that’s difficult to describe. It might be leaning slightly toward incense, but it’s still very faint at this stage.

Hello Breddaz and one Love,

The Bubble Gum outdoor project is moving forward.

Here’s a photo of the daughter, followed by a photo of the mother. She’s been with me for the past two years and now gets to enjoy a well-earned retirement outdoors.

She may look a little worn after all that time, but once she's planted out, she'll put out plenty of fresh, vigorous shoots and, in the end, bring many more smiles to our faces.

I really Hope the Second Backcross with the fast flowering Male from the Bubble Gum bx2 from Fleur de Mal Seeds will have a positive Impulse to Shorten the flowering time for a couple of Weeks... We will See

It really depends on the weather. Last year was absolutely awful. Even so, the Bubblegum turned out to be surprisingly mold-resistant and still produced a very respectable yield.

The Frisian drew from Dutch Passion actually struggled more and developed quite a bit more mold in the buds here and there. Despite the terrible weather, though, we still ended up with a decent harvest.

This year has been much better so far, so I'm hoping that when we get into autumn, we'll be able to bring in an even better crop.

The Papaya is supposed to be a fast version, so it should finish a little earlier—hopefully by the end of September at the latest. A buddy of mine gave me those seeds, so I'm curious to see how they perform.

As for the Bubblegum BX, I should correct myself—it isn't actually a BX1. I crossed the Bubblegum with a very early-flowering bx2 male from Fleur de Mal Seeds. It started flowering incredibly early, so I'm hoping the offspring will finish a week or two sooner as well. Ideally, I'd like them to be ready by mid-October.

Just a quick update.

Today I harvested the Silver Haze from Sensi Seeds on Flower Day 80. It was an absolute pleasure to harvest. I simply removed the large fan leaves and gave it a light wet trim.

The aroma is absolutely incredible. It reminds me a lot of the old Jack Herer, especially that metallic, cat-piss phenotype. That was always my favourite expression, alongside the sweeter, skunky phenotype, so I'm really excited to see how this one turns out.

The yield was pretty respectable as well.


Over the next few days I'll be harvesting the two Super Silver Haze × Haze AC testers, and then the waiting begins. I'm really looking forward to seeing how everything develops after drying and a proper cure.

I've got a question. Does anyone have a recommendation for how long the Super Silver Haze × Haze AC should be cured to really reach its peak?
