Grail: The Ultimate Haze Hybrid

I thought Id throw up a few pics of my Mango Skunk Haze. She and her sisters have been in 12/12 for 19 days now. No bud formation yet. I can't wait to smell them in about two months. I hope the Skunkman Skunkhaze mom doesn't overpower in the smell department. MangoHaze definitely smells much better.

I'm taking a similar approach...I have a Blue Haze male (DP blueberry x O.Haze (Flying Dutchmen) that I am planning on combining to several MNS haze hybrids (Nevil's Haze female, NL5xHaze female and Angel Heart for now.

Ever since I saw Nevil mention combining different Hazes I've been thinking/dreaming of these combos. I'm about to crack the NH seed and I'm in the process of selecting the 5Hz females now.

Very exciting!

This thread has been lacking some Haze for awhile. Its a good thing I brought some! :D

MangoSkunkHaze Shots. They've been in 12/12 from Dates: 1-09 to 1-23. So they're all within two weeks of each other. Ive got a few short ones. One of the shorter ones from 01/09 has chubby leaves from NL, and is the most developed one so far. And then there are a few hazy monsters....This comes from Sam's HazeSkunk. None of my MangoHaze males were this hazy. Enjoy.

Yahoo!! LOving those pics, fellas!! Thanks fer sharin, elmer!!! :D God I love haze!!! In a day or two I'll be transplanting one of my NL5/HZ's, I'll post a pic or two then - also the Mako Diesel I'm running (mako haze x nycd (soma) is a beauty - already posted some pics in my thread of the younger one but I'll post up all 3 here (one top, rooting) then, by Wednesday at the latest!

This is one of the greatest threads on the internet - bar none!!

Hey mate of course yes:D

I was just going thru some pics and I came across this one and it got me to thinking that u indoor growers are going to have to increase the size of your grow rooms if ya want to sample the finished Grail:D
Here is the Mullum that has had the NH/Kariba crossed to it:D

Yo Kanga,

No worries bro, I'd just stick that beast in an olympic stadium sized scrog! :D

Who remembers Mullum Madman from OG?

G`day JR

Not enough Haze you say ?

Here ya go - NL5/HZ in its infancy and some Mako Diesel

Mako Diesel - Mako Haze x NYCD (soma) and, of course, NL5/HZ courtesy of Shantibaba. Also included is a pic of lemonade haze - not sure on the lineages of it but I'm excited, fellas!!! The last pic is the second Mako Diesel plant I started - looks just about like a twin of the first - these babies stink to high heaven, just lightly brushed against and they just start smelling - man oh man! Sorry no bud porn yet - but I'm working on it! Also included in the pics is a (Bros Grimm C99 x GrapeFruit) x Blue Geez done by thailord, a grower out of northeastern us. Later fellas!

kanga

hey guys just thought this would be a nice place to say goodbye to kangativa seeing as he has contributed so much.

so good luck mate hopefully its only net/people issues and not legal ones. youve already encouraged so many here and elsewhere. especially the aussies, when they see so many people now jealous of us aussie growers, the aussie growers start to think whats this indoor crap seeing some of yours and a few others outdoor results.

hopefully ur just getting stuck into what really matters, you have done enough online already. i'd much rather you be achieving quiet success than getting into trouble for helping others.

best for the future.

cheers

Elmer those sats all look very happy in that setup. Keep it up and you're in for some serious headies it seems.

Just curious if you've had problems with sativas/sativa doms getting too tall in flower and the tip-tops not getting any light from the vert bulb. I ran into this last time, but I'm thinking maybe it was just due to me giving them too much veg time.

HB.

G`day Bub

Check this out .
This is Bushies Blu Mango . She loves the light so much she orientates her leaves to catch light !! At 1st I thought it was a nute sensitivity . But as the plant grows and I move the lamps it responds by unfurling some leaves and reorientating others !!
You sure you didn`t add some Triffid to the mix Bushy ??

Thanks for sharin

Elmer Bud .

Hey Elmer.

That blue mango makes my mouth water, just the name alone makes me salivate, from bushies pics the growth structure outdoors is really nice too.

It's quite wonderful to watch the way plants orientate themselves toward the light. She folds up some leaves & unfurls others, now that is interesting.

Only prob was I came back and all my Panda Film was lying on the plants / floor as the heat melted the glue of the Gaffer tape attaching the Panda to the ceiling DOH ! Live and learn ....

I shouldn't laugh, but i did, Your face must have been a picture, a mix of sudden confusion quickly followed by Panic :D

Sure you've sorted it now, but you can screw wooden batons into the ceiling & use them to take the weight of your Black & white/Panda film

@ Bushy : Gorgeous pictures mate :)

Well its 4 am, and maybe smoking Afropips Swazi Red this late was a bad idea. Its my first sample of her taken around day 77. Two thumbs up in my book. Ive got 3 more to sample soon.

I see all these beautiful large Hazes here, but my little ladies are beginning to feel left out. I grow the 'practical' size :D. MangoHaze J wanted to show herself. Ive settled on her as my most potent lady out of 11 I have/had. She has such insane vigor. Great Job Shanti on that. I still continue to have hermie issues with the line, but each lady that will get a third run under better conditions now that Ive got the Broad Mites under control.

What a difference 4 days make. I think Im getting a feel for lst'ing too. My best job yet.

Hi everyone, i thought I'd provide a little second hand update. I get the impression that for whatever reason Nevil and Kanga won't be back for further updates. I never asked why this is the case, some crap behind the scenes I guess.

Anyway the last I heard the guys were focusing on four sativas outside of Nevils Hz - Mullumbimby Madness (old school Oz sativa), Oaxacan Gold, Kariba Surprise, and finally a highland Thai from the Hmong hill tribes. Not much more I can say. I have not sought further information and have tried to distance myself from the process since it is anathema to the simple life I seek.

Anyway I remain in contact with Kangativa who I find to be a genuine bloke, and hope to visit his garden in the coming weeks and maybe provide further updates as I know many of you are interested. I believe Nev is still contactable here, and if you are interested in cannabis breeding Id recommend you contact him - his knowledge on the subject is second to none from what Ive seen, and furthermore he is unusually open about sharing that knowledge, which is a refreshing change from most.

Anyway that's about all I know. I hope it helps.

thanks for your update

it would be great to actually see a finished cola from the "grail" seeds

so as to know what to expect...[will be doing it indoors 12/12]

p.s. ..i have some darn perfect oaxacan gold spear s1 seed

from a clone only preservation

Right on, NOr1 - keep those lines pure, bro. I've just received some 1960's era Lambsbread, the guy has it at p4 stage now and has been "keeping it clean" for years now - just getting ready to pop a couple in soil and see whats what! The NL5/HZ - the two I'm running at the moment - are both nl5 based, not haze, the leaves are too wide and short for them to be haze dom - but thats okay, fellas - after reading up on sinsemillia's smoke report on it, I can't wait!!

Bushweed, those are some awesome pics, bro - thank you so very much for all you for us folk stuck in the US and elsewhere - I for one can't wait until there is a definitive answer on the direction the grail is headed. I want a trippy, spin me like a top stone that gently lays me down when its all over 8 to 12 hours later with no hangover - get up refreshed and ready to do it again, lol!
I've had one strain in my lifetime effect me positively for an 8 hour period of time, when I didn't even think about picking up my pipe again for that amount of time, and that was Granddaddy Spice. Not sure of the genetics other than granddaddy purple and maybe mr nice spice, but holy crap! The dispensary was "asking for 25 a gram donations" - they only had an ounce of the medicine - so I picked up 3 grams. Those 3 grams lasted me 10 days, fellas - 10 freaking days on 3 grams, when I smoke an ounce of top shelf every two weeks, normally!! The guy lost his cut - he switched nute lines and burnt the shit out of everything, wasn't able to save it. Man, that was some good, good herb.

Great post im Glad you made that comparison an have the opportunity

Beautiful bud

Thats what most of my circle growing up always looked for when we would go get haze we would ask for the brown ,the darker the better .The gold an brown colors usually held the incense traits

1luvbigherb

What were the light green dubs that went around up top, with the gold trichome hue to it? 1996-97

the dark dubs and the light green ones were both around andso friggen dank back then, it'd be hard for me to say which was better. To be honest it may have been the lighter green one. I'm interested in what you remember BigHerb as you really know your Harlem Hazes .. thanks man, sorry to thread jack

and no new info on the elusive "pepper head" ... anyone talk to nevil, he might know something. He knew a ton about the "bubblegum" .. he made it lol :) maybe he knows about the pepper head ... or maybe shanti does

that stuff was potent, i'd put that up again any diesel or kush nowadays ... smelled like pepper, tasted like pepper, made you sneeze, and the smell of it burning was as recognizable as a fine haze ... you could pick it out from a crowd of other joints burning.
