i bet you if i had properly selected f5 nevils haze Nevil would almost punch me in the face and take it from my hand. am i wrong nevil? seriously everyone that has discounted making nevils haze ibls because of the catpiss smell is an idiot. seriously do the selection right and you have one hell of a breeder.

So, how do I "volunteer" to be a pre - final breeding taste tester?:D I'll be more than glad to hop on a plane, fellas!!! And the good thing is I'm a great smoker - I'll smoke all day and all night, as long as the munchies hold out - and I'll promise to clean my bong between loads, wash my hands, and brush my teeth - I swear! Man, I'd love to load up a bowl of that oaxaca x mm x whatever, holy crap!! Kanga, Nevil, Shantibaba, peace, fellas - much love and good karma as you work on completing this (to us, vastly important) task - we all wait with baited breath, looking for the path to lead us to enlightenment and perfection!
 
Hi all......Sorry for the delay in updates, life is very busy at the moment.

Ok I have put up some pics of a reversed Nev Haze male #03, this male was crossed to Kariba Surprise#2 and then the males from that cross have been crossed to the MM, which still have to be grown out.
Nev has smoked the male and is impressed and we both have smoked the NH/Kariba cross and we both are impressed and have given it the name of Frankenfuel:D.

So as u can see it is still a way off before things really get going as there is still the Oaxaxan to be included yet and on top of that we have now found a Thai that is very impressive.

Re the Oaxacan...I dont know if you remember I mentioned that we graded one at 8.5 and that was from immature seeded buds, well that is the one that is being used and it has crept up the scale a bit:D.
I will put up more pics as the season goes on.....until then good growing all.

That sounds incredible...I wish you guys continued progress on "The Grail" search!

Its great to hear an update

Im Glad too see that this year things have been looking on the UP :D .I cant wait to see some of those monsters in flower .

That Frankenfuel sounds like the grail in itself ,it has impressed you both
Im estatic to hear such high reguards .Im happy to know My beloved trait is being worked further .


Im curious to know some details as to the thoughts on the Perfect Grail haze hybrid ?

I know the MM will add everything from effects flavor an yield .But the NH/Kariba sounds like the Grail itself from whats been reported .

Im interested to know more about that thai ,is this the Gypspy stock or private ? can you give us a smoke report on this one ? Effects taste/aromas


Considering that there are still many candidates an testing to be done shows the detication an efforts being put forth .Only time will tell but this collabration has already proven epic .

Those NH pics are Gorgeous ,purple Foxtails :D

We had a discussion awhile back about purple in the MNS hazes well this is another grow to add to the list of purple present in the MNS haze hybrids

That NH at 60 days is another to add to the list of early flowering phenos ,looks very sexy an like she could be taken down



I look forward to a smoke report ,as it seems you did these plants justice

The haziest one, skunkiest one, and middle of the road.
The lady used for the MangoHaze cross was the Skunkiest one.
Great yielder even though she was still nothing but foxtails.

Id love to know what I may be able to expect from the f2's.

I have grown only two females from that seed.
one was a good example of what Nevil mentioned about Leathery smells (boot leather) in relation to Thai pheno types.

the other plant was more akin to Skunk (catpissy)
appearance they were very similar.
potency wise ,both were strong and a bit harsh. rough around the edges.
these g3 seeds will be grown in small batches and gone thru carefully who can say what might show from them.
The OH x Sk1 F1 mom was exceptional,she smelled of fresh tea leaves in a baggie,tasted of ripend mango fruit,full throttle lung expansaion followed by an elevator UP.
She Lifted me.
just like some Thai I smoked in Thailand in the seventies.
crossing her to Afghan x Haze F1 male was a good idea made a skinnier more delicate plante that would choke itself with resin,
like some of the better Haze Macro photos on this website.
I think you should look to find a very Hazey skunk male (Mommas Boy) and use him to test against your best females ...Afghan,Kush,Black Widow plants...
but thats just me thinking out loud.

Thanks for the info you could provide. Once Ive sorted through all the ladies I currently have on hand, Im going to start with the F2 Hazey line, and I hope to find a real nice lady, but I always hang onto my best looking males, so maybe Ill get to a F3 gen as well. So far, nothing Ive grown has affected me in the way she did. Really great weed. One of the oddest effects she gave me was a feeling of nostalgia but for the present. It was a really unique feeling, but it felt great. So far Ive not had anything else replicate it. Im almost sad I let her go, but I think Ill find something real nice in her offspring.

Space isn't an issue, and I can grow mini plants, so Ill probably go through 50 or so seeds or more. Im addicted to growing. If it weren't for this 'hobby' I dont know what I'd be doing with my life.

Hi PRJ, reversing the males is a helpful tool for selection. Whilst they remain structurally more like a male, they will form calyxes like you see in the pics that give you a better idea of the aromas and resin production. You can also collect enough to perform smoke tests and get a good idea of aromas and effect.
 
I believe Kanga's NH male is a male that turns female is why he referred to it as being reversed. I call them intersexed males.

cannatari what are you on about you believe dont cut it in the real world.

The males being reversed are being reversed by mans hand and not by the plant so what are you going on about.
 
Once again sorry for not getting back to answer things......life is pretty hectic here at the moment and the computer is the last thing on my list.

Rimmeo, Hempy and Mark are correct, the NH male and others are being reversed by Nev to check for resin content and smell, he had enough material on this NH to actually smoke it.....I am a bit more wary of taking on such adventures, although I am assured it is ok:D

Bigherb....The Thai seeds have come directly from Thailand and are from very old stock, the high is more refined than the Gypsy one, which has a more wild high, both are good but our preference is leaning towards the refined one for breeding.
