Grail: The Ultimate Haze Hybrid

:D Ive been roasting both Columbian and Kona Coffee beans this morning,(while smoking haze with Headband/Sour Diesel Kief hash on top) Both are special cultivars.

The Kona is "Maragogype" cultivar. From a 2 acre plot on the Kona coast. Absolutely exotic coffee! It cups a lovely brew, with a up euphoric high, no jitters. Excellent accompnyment to great bud.

Im pulling yellow leaves off the indoor crop today. I have a half dozen clones of this plant going outdoors soon. This is LA Confidential. I grew it from seed in 2009 I think. Very strong, rock hard nugs, excellent high. I pollenated and got seeds from both Nevilles Haze and Mango Haze with this same plant.

Dr.Purpur..some amazing shots you took of your plants, this one has it's place as a Desktop pic.now...thank u very much.:)

The rest of Kanga's 20 footer!!

Hey bigwity, some Colombian is headed your way, don't roast it though! lol

Just sampling some fast dried lower buds from the Volunteer x Colombian I just chopped and it's very potent and tastes like the lumbo, lovely...

Need4weed grew the lumbo indoors in an NFT tray and got a pound off one plant under a 600.

This is a great example of how the lumbo grows indoors, big buds all over with floppy stems that can't hold up their weight, the purple stems is also a characteristic of this line.

She dominates in hybrids so cross her to an indica and you get the same thing but with reduced flower time and increased density, yield and resin but still the distinctive lumbo taste...

I just gave a few hundred f1 hybrid lumbo seeds to a new seed shop in Manchester to give away as freebies, it's a mate's new business, if you're in the northwest, pop in, Manchester Seeds, I forget the street now, I'll have to get the address and post it, he has all kinds of cool stuff as well as seeds. Pop in, say I sent ya and ask for the freebies, buy something while you're there of course! Just doing my little bit to help his business get going...

Woodsy, leathery, spicy, nutty, like an old beechwood cigar box that was used to cure some Haze for a few months, just absolutely divine, my all-time fave taste.

Sounds like I'm gonna need to get myself over the pennines to Manchester....

Lumbo

Guys from High school used to call me the Colombian man, (among other things) The Colombian Red we had in the mid 70s was bomb! It was abundant, cheap and strong , tasted great and wasted you. Major red eyes, and munchies galore. It was Earthy flavor with a tad bit of hashiness. It was real gooey! Super strong!

It was 40 bucks an ounce, it would go for 7-8 times that in Cali now easily.

Is there such a thing as an ultimate Haze Hybrid ?

The reason I ask is because, it's human nature to always want to improve on something, so someone could develop an absolutely amazing Haze Hybrid the likes of which have never been seen & the goal would have been achieved & "The Holy Grail" finally found.......

But then what ?

Does said breeder then hang up his tools & retire? I think not because growers/Breeders find it very hard to hang up the tools of their trade & Inevitably they'll take that very special plant & try to improve on it, that's Human nature.

Just an observation really. I'm not even sure if I got across what I'm thinking in my head, but it makes sense to me. Then again, I've never been particularly good at typing what I think, if I was I'd be a writer not a grower :). I'm more of a face to face person, in that situation I can explain with great ease what's going through my head.

Peace

B

What? Are you smokin grass or something? I think you guys are a bunch of Stoners in here or something. LOL! jk

Not sure if its been mentioned but im getting close to my first harvest of http://www.mrnice.nl/forum/5-strain-base/6508-pink-floyd.html and this Haze AC male seems to be quite impressive indeed. They are spectacular in resin production and seem to carry alot of the great haze traits. If you fella's havent considered the Haze AC male that made all the "rock n' rollers" he may be worth taking a gander at, as for his daughters are very impressive, even well before harvest:D

Killer looking bud!

HOLY F*CK!

Never seen that dark purple leaf colouration or level of resination in the parentals that went into that.

Now I need to grow this line myself.

I'm trying to remember the exact lineage of that line now.

I wonder if Kanga can remember precisely what was written on the bag?

Could be Mexican x Purple Afghan, could be something similar, I had two killer Mexicans, I also worked with a Thai, a Thai x Purple Afghan and the Mexican x Purple Afghan, maybe it's Mexican x (Purple Afghan x Thai) with the Mexican being the Highland Oaxacan Gold, I remember clearly selecting a Thai x Purple Afghan male. I have all the seeds labelled and stored, need to pull em out and see what lines exactly there are.

itd have to have some afghani in it given some of the leaf strucure one would think ,
thai x mexican would typically be a skinny leaf plant wouldnt it ??

Damn, this looks just like the Thai I grew in 1981

Both of those plants are Kanga's - the Neville's Haze is current, the MM last year. Here's a look at some MM leaf structure...

This last shot is only one branch system from one of last year's MMs - that grew into three identical xmas trees from the base and yielded 10 pounds dry. The shot previous to that was from an 18 footer. I would consider such characteristics Thai.

Hi BH, Hey mate if you want some honest opinions on that PMT from both of us. We would suggest you work on the smell, both of us commented that it had that Dutch Purple smell and Nev in particular didnt like it.
Nev has some of it drying now for a taste test, so I will give that report later.
But on top of that mate it is a crowd favourite for it's colouration....so good work there.
I had about 7 Early Queen females here, we kept one special girl, and I think that a male from this strain might help with changing the smell a bit, but still keep its better features as the EQ had beautiful red hairs and also had the purple in its leaves.
I have put 3 PMT under 24hr lights to reveg, so I can have a play with it as well.
Nev is also testing the Airbourne G13, but not the Colombian as they are not ready yet. The Acupulco Gold x Purple Haze has been seeded with AG x PH males so once we have a seed set we will to a test on that as well.

Bigherb....I think you will find all the info on those colombians in this thread that you are after:D
