G13 Haze - 2024 Outdoor Canadian Grown

Warmest greetings to the MNS Crew & Forum Aficionados!

Been a little wet here lately, unfortunately. Daily temps have been good, though, and the October forecast is very promising this year. Sounds like we'll have an "Indian summer", as "we" kids, 40 yrs ago, use to call them.

Update on the RUNT (Female #5):

Smells the nicest of them all, so far; but her stem leaves a lot to desire. Oddly enough, the girl that was accidentally "topped", (in the dark, back in July,) she has the best stem of them all, but she is, by far, the least aromatic of them all; sadly.

They do look very good from here. Any mold problems at that latitude?

Not that I have noticed, so far, but this is a new strain for me, and the MNS website says this is a longer finisher; one pheno could go to early December, apparently. In that case, I'm more than concerned.

However, the website says they take 9-11 weeks to finish indoors, which seems to imply mid September as the start of flowering, in the northern hemisphere. Mine were flowering before mid-Sept.; so maybe there's a chance they may finish by mid-November; especially if I can light dep them somehow.

When I decided to grow this strain, I had zero intention of taking it all the way to the end of November. My mistake was not keeping them smaller and light deping them all from the mid August point. That mistake won't ever happen again, if I can help it.

Today, weather wise, has been very rough on the 3 Earthbox girls. Super heavy winds have been punishing them all day; and they are keeled over because of it, barely surviving it. They are being brutalized by gusty winds.

The two in the Air-pots would be totally flattened by it, if it wasn't for their bamboo supports. I'll be hard at work tomorrow trying to install bamboo in the 3 Earthboxes. It will be a busy day. I don't see them making it across the finish line without the extra support.

Even if they have to come down early, it'll be high quality herb, I'm sure. A few days ago, I sampled some very immature young buds, pruned off the very bottom, and dried for about 10 days, and I was pleasantly surprised by their potency, at that small size. I definitely caught a cerebral buzz off it. Hard to believe but true.

My target harvest date is mid-November, but I'll reassess that in late October.

Top wind speed here, today, reached 34 MPH (or about 54 km/hr). All 3 in the EB were beat up by it, but the middle one, oddly enough, took it the worst. You can see from these photos that she's bent over pretty bad. Mid way through the day, I spun the pot 180°, but that didn't help her as I had hoped.

Warmest greetings to all you MNS Aficionados!

Mother Nature has not been kind to me the last few days, and was unable to take action yesterday, sadly 😭😭😭 to rectify the situation. Still raining here, so I guess I'm working in the rain today, like it or not:

Kindest kudos to all the MNS Aficionados here!!

Perfect weather here today, compared to the string of very wet days, that flattened my two ladies with the skinny legs.

The clean-up in Isle 01 is still ongoing, as they were severely punished by the storm; which I suspect was connected to the hurricane some how. My sincerest condolences to those on the coast who were majorly hurt by it.

At any rate, due to the excess wetness and my girls being on life-support, basically, two were attacked by mold; but not badly. So far I've found it on just one bud of each plant, but I'm still giving them their examinations. It's a work in progress.

Zoom in on this photo and look at the background, behind Female #3. It's a glimpse of what it took to stand her (the middle girl) up. That will be the subject of my next update.

The RUNT

On October 01, I dusted her crown with some male magic, so let's hope it takes. 🤞🏻🤞🏻 If I can score some more male dust, by tomorrow, she'll receive it. She will be harvested as soon as the seeds are ready, or around Nov. 01.

Cheers! - FF
