G13 Haze - 2024 Outdoor Canadian Grown

Great plan ! Wish you best luck ;)
nice music BTW !!

Warm greetings to the MNS Crew & Aficionados!

Today, 10/30, at just past 1:30PM, it is a balmy 23°C; balmy for this location, compared to the "seasonal" average for this time of the year. It'll fall to a low of 17°C at 4AM, tomorrow; so even the night temp is exceptional. I'm working out in the backyard, wearing only a mere t-shirt. Yes, I had some really testy weather earlier but this present stretch of exceptional weather makes up for it in spades.

Hey Ptree, thanks for the vote of confidence on 'The Plan l' and the positive thoughts / wishes for it's successful execution. Much appreciated, bro'. 🤞🏻😎👍🏻It would be quite "the journey," for sure; and the possibilities are deeply intriguing!! Both projects have MASSIVE potential. Then there's No.4., waiting for her special mate. Who will it be? 🤔

Glad to hear the chill music struck a pleasant chord for you! It's great for harvest time, and for the "trim prison" blues. She has a very hypnotic & soothing voice. I think I can detect a little ENYA influence there, beneath the surface, but maybe my imagination is playing games with me:

No.5 Update:

The first 2 photos provide some colour contrast between No.1 & No.5:

Different garden location, to give the extra sun for her glorious finish! 😁🙄🙏🏻

No.2 Update for 10/30:

Just wanted to include a few more photos of her, the record. The first 2 photos were taken late yesterday afternoon, before her haircut; and the remaining 8 taken this morning, post-haircut:

The following photos are post-haircut. Removed quite a bit of leaf, in preparation for their harvest. The next photo isn't the greatest but gives a tiny glimpse of growth on the side nearest to the fence:
20241030_151455.jpg
20241030_152128.jpg20241030_151744.jpg20241030_151521.jpg20241030_151441.jpg20241030_151305.jpg20241030_151426.jpg

Having smoked a couple thin No.2 doobs, I'm very impressed with her clear, energetic high. The properly cured product will soon tell the full story, of her virtues.

For the record, I'm not sure I'd grow her the same way next time. This entire grow was an experiment, in several respects, to see how this strain would perform in this climate, and how far I could push it.

Many valuable lessons were learned by it which will provide many pleasant reflections, over the winter, as I sample the cured fruits of my labours to get them across the finish line.

Hopefully the OKQ will shorten her finish time by a week, or two. Would love to be able to harvest her offspring before 10/15. OKQ is an 8 to 9 week finisher, and provides enough genetic diversity to enhance a few features / traits, most especially her stalk.

Fingers 🤞🏻🤞🏻!! Cheers! - FF

Awesome job, way to go buddy :)

Thanks, man, I really appreciate that. It was a blast, overall. Lots of thrills along the way. I tried to challenge myself, and learn a few things in the process; which I did. I am genuinely impressed with every one of them, each in their own way.

The problem is, I can't keep them all, due to space limitations. At the moment, my top 3 choices would be No.4, the Big Girl, No.2, easily the most sativa dominant & No.5. If I let it, my imagination can really wander where I can't go, practically, due to current limitations; but if I had the space and the future looked a bit brighter, I could see myself keeling all 5 girls, and only replacing them with better phenotypes as they reveal themselves in time.

The good news is that I found a No.4 in 10 seeds, so if I don't succeed with regenerating it, it won't be too hard to find it again in a couple more 10 seed runs. I'm considering doing just that, to see if I can score a male version of No.4.

Cheers! FF 😎👍🏻

Excellent job FF!👌
You had a difficult task to do but you managed to bring these girls to completion and they look perfect to me.
Enjoy them this winter and do let us know how they smoke.

Hey Swifty, thanks so much for those kind words! Very cool of you to share that, my man. Means a lot to me, especially coming from a highly skilled and accomplished cultivator, such as yourself. Many thanks to you for sharing your many grow experiences with us. You have definitely raised the bar for us all, but most especially for myself.

You can count on those smoke reports, brother, if all goes well in 2025. To say I'm looking forward to those would be an understatement. Hopefully all goes well in the new year, for us all, and we're still free to grow and freely share our cultivation experiences with each other, on a "free" internet.

Cheers, my bro'! - FF 😎👍🏻

Impressive grow...really.
Wouldn't imagine you can finish a 50% haze hybrid in a canadian climate...but you made it!
Buds look so juicy it's mouth watering.

G13 haze is a beast, and a fantastic building block to make true F1 hybrids. I'm very happy to see her back in the light on the forum.

Thanks very much, Tom! Greatly appreciated. It was a great pleasure to grow it, for sure!!

Definitely a Beast, but quite the Beauty as well, in its own right. Excellent breeding material, for sure, and well worth mining for hidden gems. Definitely looking forward to exploring its rich genetic bank, "Time" permitting.

I was able to get some nice seeds from them, thankfully, which I'm very excited about. Can't wait to start popping the No.4 seeds first.

Snoop Lion : Smoke the Weed

Way to go with the earthboxes. Easiest and best way to grow dope IMO.

Thanks CannaFish. Much appreciated and I totally agree that the Earthboxes rock; and help make the cultivation process easier, especially in terms of consistent watering; And in ultra dry outdoor regions, subject to drought, and high water cost(s), the SIP (i.e. EB) is definitely the best way to grow, as it uses significantly less water than when top watering.

The Earthbox has its limits, though, and can run into occasional problems, if not used properly. It's limited in terms of plant size and yield potential, but for the grower who is fine with 6' to 7' ft tall plants, and not trying to grow giant trees in it, it definitely rocks! They are a bit "pricey" but well worth every penny, imho.

For those who prefer DIY solutions, there are YouTube videos on how to make an Earthbox / SIP; but a lot of research & experimentation went info designing the Earthbox; so those who want to make their own, I would find some old videos on YouTube by the Original EB designer and dig into them for design clues & insights.

You did an incredible job! I can hwrdly wait to read the smoke reports! 😁
Diesel840

Many thanks, Diesel840, for those encouraging words and for tracking my cultivation journey. Greatly appreciated, my man!! The smoke reports will be a real trip, in more than one way. My mouth will be a dancehall, with palate and taste buds dancing for joy, I eagerly anticipate.

Cheers to you all, and many thanks for your kind support.
