Sheeewt...

Thank you guys for the love. I have other interests, but growing is a genuine passion for me.

Z - I have seen 3 Spice females, and though I haven't crossed tehm all to the same males to see how they did as a group, it seems like one of the females made far better baby females than the other 2. My favorite cross that I've done so far was a SSH male who was super sativa expressive when it came to stretch, branchieness and smell, but was fast flowering relative to his other traits X a Spice female who was way on the indy side of life. Very squat, purple, chunky, stinky & frosty.

The selection I made from the initial cross was for a female to run & smoke, not nec for one to breed with down the line. What I chose was a tall sativa structured plant with tons of frost, and a catpiss/rotten fruit/haze kicker to the smell. The buds ware thin and spear shaped, but grown right they got nice n dense (or exploded out in a foxtail party, either way :D).

I crossed that selection to a brother that I chose from ~ a dozen or so. He had similar veg traits as the female, maybe a lil more indy leaning. Frosty, fast, decent sized clusters, and STINKY!. The 1st run of the offspring was just about what I expected. I have 2 (maybe 3) cuts from the first run, and I think I have an indy leaner, and a plant quite similar to the cut I selected. Stretchy, and stinky/hazy.

The other spice crosses may have suffered from an inferior father. I used the last plant that I had from a pack of ogkush x g13Hz on a few different females, adn nothing spectacular came from him smoke wise. I've had some bad ass plants, but nothing that indicated ' special' to me. Lots of the initial Spice x SSH cross were 'special'. I still have a few of them left (same generation as my initial selection), so I'd like to do a separate pollination with them to see if I 'missed' anything.

Prolly running more beans april/may, but I have so much that I wanna run, and I may end up dropping a bunch beans with the same Shit daddy. I have him on a Spice, and EQ, and this LaNina cross I'm running. It will be nice to see what he brought to each cross, as I have previously held each of the females long enough to get to know how they grow/smoke.

how do fish face:D

good to see you back fella, i carnt wait to hear wat you been up to

springs comin are you ready:D:D

be good

Hello Mr PStar
Good to see you back. The left coast huh, i bet you sleep much deeper now.
Have you scoped out any good fishing holes yet, I know all the native trout out east are breathing easier this spring. Talk to you soon.
LS

MrMr!!! What's good Holmz? I'm not really prepped for spring, other than I have 3 cuts, 2 of which seem like they would perform well outside, and if I can go till late oct here, all 3 :p It IS different here as far as available patches of watered woods to just jump into and drop off a few lbs. It DOESN'T rain after ~April here. Back east, plants would thrive in wet summers w/o add'tl watering, and only 3-4 water trips nec. during the dryest of summers (still 4-5" of rain over 2-3mo). So no gorilla growin for me the first year out here. BUT (and that's a big but), I fully intend to have 2-3 multiple lb plants either in the ground where I live or in giant smartpots this summer. Once this indoor crop starts to come in, I can start to really worry about where to set up this summer for sun & fun. God bless month to month leases! Do you have anything planned? Isn't summer like 6+ months away over there?!?!?! It's already starting to warm up here. I get days in the low 60's, & nights in the low 30's. It was sooo friggen cold last dec/jan in the old house :)

TrippleO Thank you very much, nothing special about that combo in the smoke dept, but that daddy added a lot of vigor to most of what he touched. I was looking for big things from the male used, cause his sister was one of the first 'special' plants that I held. Lol I called it lemmonmuthafukka, and it was lemons & chocolate, & spice & creamy exhale. Those ogk(abusive) x g13/hzC beans came fron DNA in ~05/06, and I didn't realize what I had at the time. Also piddled away some freebie ecsd x la conf beans that made for killer offspring. Shout out to you and your strain crazienesss!!! Lol, I was looking thru your thread, and you have got ur shit organized!! Lol I can't run more than 4 cuts, & grow more than 2 different crosses at once without it all getting teeth-grindingly crazy :)

Siva Siva!! I was messing around in a kick ass trout stream this summer with the dogs. I don't have my license as of yet, but there is AMAZING fishing all around me. I'ma finally get in on some of the salmon & steel head that I've always drooled over. Uhhhh... KEEP those 10" stockers with their mutilated fins!!! Lol, I do love the streams back east, though. When I can I'll get pix of the stream I found here up, Siva. It was ~60 deg, & MOVIN when I was going there in Aug/Sept. The air was getting up over a hundred, but cooled sort of quickly @ night here. I've been told that there are native rainbows & goldens in there that go up to ~4-5lb. MONSTER trout to me lol. I have caught exactly 5 trout over 21". Real fishin is comin, lol. They tell me the salmon go 75+ lb...

So yeah, when I get the pics all collected & re-sized off of the cam & 2 phones, I'll get some pics of the drive/flight/drive out here. If you live in the midwest - move. No joke, just get in a car and drive 2 days east or west. Unless you are addicted to corn.

:p

Burning on this superspice. Prolly one of the closest to the mom cut in the finished product. I'm not nec. looking to re-produce the cut I held, but I do like the smells & flavors. Harsh, catpissy that opens up to a more menthol hazy sweetness. VERY greasy-type resin. Very sativa dom high, just enough indy to keep my heart from racing.

Ok, I've noticed that there are some VERY impressive grows being shared on this site right now. SHOUT THE FUKK OUT to everybody taking pride in what they do, and sharing. You (and I really don't know all of the newer names yet, but I will) all are killing it. So after I posted up my little closet pics yesterday, I had to ask myself - "Would XXX let those runts just sit there, grabbing up all that valuable light real estate?? HELL NO!!!" So yeah, I was happy sitting on my ass, then I saw some grows that were much better than mine, and I got inspired to try to step my game up.

Pulled the plants that didn't take to the 'transplant & go' package, & repotted them 3 to a 3gallon to get them outta the way. Repotted some cups into 1 gallons, & slid them into the vacant spots in the light footprint. Bout to go sprinkle some plant success soluble all around.

DSC00442.JPG

I think that the B cut just doesn't have the vigor of the A or the 3.

PS, please bear with my pictures. I've only taken a few pics so far with this cam, & I'm just getting used to a computer monitor of the proper brightness & display format ;) Sorry for all those eyeball-bendingly bright pics for the last few yrs, lol.

Thanks Patrick :) It is a lot of work, but totally worth it. I'm allowed up to 72 little plants by local law. I'm no where near that, but it does mean I can't keep more than one of each cut for very long. I only take two cuts of each to begin with.

Other medial growers get the second clone of each once they get about 6" tall. Sometimes plants get big but I don't have any space in the bloom room. Those plants get new cuttings taken and the large plant is destroyed once they're rooted.

Keeps the number/size of my garden under control, but allows me to keep over 30 live strains.

It's good to be medical & know you then OOO!! :)

Wow, so this board has sort of turned into a shit flinging fest :(

Lil story bout a dood named Paddy.

Once upon a time, there was a fish named Paddy. He worked in a telemarketing room with 3 other professionals for a lil family company. Paddy was a young fish but all of the eccentric telemarketers he worked with were 50+. In the telemarketing room's existence it had always had 3-4 people, and only 6 people had worked there in 4 years. By the time that Paddy got there, there were no 'managers'. There was a boss, but he was a diabetic agorophobe. We all knew the system, and for the most part the equipment. It ran VERY smoothly, and profitably. Well, the lil company grew, and they needed more telemarketers. So the room of 4 professionals grew to a room of 4 professionals, and 3-4 'kids/dialing machines'. Well, right off the bat, one of the old timers quit, just because the change in routine meant he had to possibly step up and HELP someone. So the room ran for a while, with the pro's production slowly slipping towards 'industry standard, and the kids pounded out 400 calls a day. Eventually all of the old timers ended up going to work in a more professional environment, because the office became a zoo without any direct supervision. The old timers knew their shit, and were full time, long term employees making 40-60k 1995usd. They had a vested interest in the environment they worked in, and it didn't make sense to continue to go to work there every day and be surrounded by people who don't know their head from their assholes, but yet you had to hear them talk all day long...

Anyway, a VERY slick lil money making machine of a TM room turned into a somewhat-profitable-headache for the now not so lil family company. So they paid Paddy to whip the booth monkeys into shape, and hire an underling to do some of the more evil deeds, and boom - the room took shape again. And guess what? Once the problem monkeys either quit or got their shit placed in a box & left outside a locked door, the rest of the monkeys fell in line, and ended up working like the pros did 2 years before them. Sometimes people just need to be guided in the right direction, then they can look ahead instead of around. ;)

Ok I'm blunted off of funny homegrown :p

Wanna see some pics of 2500 miles of US interstate 80? (well prolly ~1000 miles, cause the middle 1/3 of this great land is ALLLL COOOORRRRNNNN.

Ok a BUNCH from Wyoming, cause I was glad to be out of the corn and the 100+ degree heat. Took this ride on Aug 1-5.

More Wyoming. Was smoking a bunch of Shit f2 on the first ride out. Also some MasterKaze & SSH f1/f2.

This mountain was bad ass. Welcome to the west.

Wow, Utah was green, and cool, and looked like a supersized version of Vermont. Then I left Salt Lake City ~11:30. August 4th. No air. Fukk that desert.

Leaving Salt Lake, things look...different...
utah5.jpg

Oh great, I'll be across this white hot fukkin frying pan of a state in no time.
utah6.jpg

2 hours and 200 degrees later...
utah7.jpg

An hour later...
utah8.jpg

I'm sure it's beautiful. If you have air conditioning and a car that weighs more than 2600lb. Bwwwwaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh........... (continue doing that real loud for 10hrs a day for the next 5 days)
utah9.jpg

Never thought I'd be so glad to see Nevada. One cool thing about the ride on Rt 80, all of the landscapes change almost as soon as the states do. The lines look all made up on a map, but in real life it makes sense where one stops and the next starts.

Yo MrMr, what's good! The point is just that this board needs to be actively moderated. It worked well with no supervision when it was all adults with a REAL interest in growing, but now it's 1/2 kids or people who could really give 2 shits if they have a place to log and share their grows/techniques/ideas. The addition of those people (even though in reality it's probably a handfull, not '1/2') makes moderation a necessity, IMO. It pissed me off that the board was shut down last week, and it was because of some bullshit back and forth cause people want to be 'heard' on the internet.

/rant

'bout to dip into this 3oz of b-hash I was gifted ;)

Nevada. Hit Nevada ~4ish. Sun didn't quit till like 8 o'clock. Only pics from the tolerable sections of the ride. Utah and Nevada are no-joke-hot. The midwest was muggy as fukk, and I was forced to sit a few hrs out in IL due to couldn't sit in traffic with the ol' red dog & no a/c. But the desert is straight up an oven. Nicer pics of Nevada later/2moro.

Popped up thru the sunroof for this one.

Out west distances are not measured in miles, but in hours. 1 hour away seems close. 80miles away from the nearest Mickey Deez? Nowhereville.

Sierras are coming... :D

2 shots of Cali right at the NV border. Lol they asked me to declare any plants or veggies that I have when I got to the 'border' :p No thank you. I don't have a med card yet. I'll stop back in a few weeks ;)

Lots more pics of Cali, but I'm tired of re-sizing.

Sorry fam, but the rest of the pics of the drive(s) out here are from the camera phone, and I need to save em as png's before I upload em. I was lookin at em, and the best pics are the ones from where I actually stopped driving :D

Here's 1. PM me if you are close, & med, & wanna burn :p

Right, so I had that cut that I was calling "3". It is a Shit f3, and is DONE-DIDDLEY-UN at 45 days. I've never had something that was actually done for real before 7 full. It was my first run with her, and I didn't veg, so I ended up with some little plants. Still learning :)
DSC00473.JPG

Real tight budstructure, but very low odor. There is 'something' there, like it has an effect on my sinusses on a big huff, but it's just a lil musk & maybe chocolate.
DSC00479.JPG

DSC00480.JPG

Didn't think that I'd be keeping/running this cut again, but done at 45 has to be explored. I'm not a veg guy, but maybe I'll touch a cut with a male from the batch of SSH f2's that I just dropped. Maybe not...
DSC00491.JPG

^^THIS^^
Is probably the worst thing that could have happened to me, garden wise right now.

In bloom, I had 3 cuts, A, B, and 3. It was mostly A, as the mom was best developed to strip down for cuts. I had only flowered the 3 previously, and that was from seed, with my momma being the re-veg. The A & B cuts were from the superspice f2 batch, and showed later than the rest of the girls in their round, so I put em back under veg schedule, and kept them to analyze for mom value. I ran the sisters with no real dramas. 14 females. Didn't take any cuts of those 14.

One of the cuts is fine. B is a real greasy, smell changing resin machine. Not much bulk, but I'm sure she'll be firesmoke.

A IS A FUKKIN HERM!!!

Sorry for yelling. I flipped the mom, and she seeded herself, I figgured she was stressed, & put her to the side. That was a few days ago, and today I saw action on ALL of the cuts that are at 45 days, and some action on plants ~30 days. ~50% of the total plant space in bloom was devoted to these fukkin A cuts. AND, they make up 75% of the plants that I have vegging. AND I gave a bunch out 2 weeks ago that I have to now go tell the dood are trash and PRAY he didn't distribute any.

The Spice's had a tendency to throw nanners on stretch at the nodes. Really roughed up, or overcooked, the grandma would push a male cluster mid-late-way late flower. The selected cross from the SSH male mating was pretty much rock solid, as were the ~30+ sisters that I saw from seed, ~10 of which I ran as clones, too. None of them were anywhere near as sensitive as their mom. I would have never ran so many if there were an issue.

Of the 14 superspice f2's (inbred 1x) from seed, I noticed I think 1 or 2 plants push clusters at nodes on stretch, and another 1 or 2 push bananas late, but I took everything 10+ weeks, with some plants going pretty overcooked. I didn't at all anticipate an issue with either of these 2 cuts.

:rolleyes:FukkinPollenChukker:rolleyes:

Lesson learned. 1+ lb lesson (not figguring for lost time/footprint space...) :^/
All cuts get tested AS CUTS before they get relied upon to produce/fill the room.
DAMN.

Happy thoughts. B cut @ 45 days. Went from mango to skittles now it's transitioning to a wet haze phaze. Prolly ~2+ more weeks but this one is in a small pot. Cut will prolly be done ~10wks in the 2 gallons. NO NANNERS, lol

Well, I guess I'll have a BUNCH of bubble from those A's anyway. :)

Oh, and I got my 4 x 12 phresh filter, and it's SMALL, but doing the trick. My buddy gave me some llama guano in a burlap sack to try out for tea. I'll get pix up 2moro.

Well look at it this way, you are gonna have so fine ass bubble to make. Herms suck when they drop pollen over you whole room. Have you been planing your out door? I can't wait to see some trees in full sun light.

hi patrick
if you're tired of resizing pics you should try to download
"light resizer 4" a freeware on the net . ;)

peace

SivaSiva, I sort of lukked out that these didn't go off & destroy the whole room. I'ma still have a nice sized pull coming. It's just going to hurt for a minute, cause I took far and away the most cuts from the "A" plant. I also fukked around, and while I was sticking a dozen or so "B" cuts, I was all stoned and realized that I was chopping off of the A plant for some of them. That whole round is sort of up in the air. I THINK that I have ~7 "B's", but I won't be sure till I flower the round. I know that I have a B mom, and 2 big rooted 3 cuts.

I'm thinking that I will run cuts of whatever I have for indoors outside here. I'm working with this B & the super fast 3 right now. I just dropped my last 5 Spicy Mudd (Spice mom, MissMud dad) looking for a purple indica leaner, and I have 10 sprouted sshf2's in the dirt. I'd like to find another black pepper plant in these f2's, but I'm open to selecting the best of the females, just to have another SSH selection in the garden. I also have packs of Nordle & MasterKaze on the way. If I have the time/space, I would like to run at least a few of those under the big halide in the sky. Right now I don't really have the ability to grow an outdoor tree, but BELIEVE me, I'm looking to move to where I can just as soon as I can ;)

manivelle - I just downloaded that program, and will mess around with it later today. I'll let you know, but I bet I like it. :) HAS to be better than working with paint
