Here's the recycled soil dance. I take as much pride in my soil as I do in my crosses/selections/pictures
3 bukkits, from left to right - 'Recycle bukkit'; 'Humus Bukkit'; 'Working bukkit'.
I add the nutes and the rootballs into the recycle bukkit. Then it cooks, and I transfer part of that bukkit to the humus bukkit and add either castings or mushroom compost. After ~2 weeks in there, I blend it into the working bukkit. If I need to, I add perlite at this point.
Here's the goods.
Bulb tone. I usually get bio tone, but it's basically the same stuff. This has less nitrogen, and more calcium.
Clockwise from mushroom compost, Crabshell, P guano, Rare earth clay.
Then I add the rootballs from old plants. I let em dry out purrty good, and most of the roots dissolve in the pots. Plus I have read that the myke fungus reproduce when the sense that the plant has died. Supposedly IU am adding more back to my recycle bukkit. I do it mostly to keep the moisture level down, wet soil is heavy soil, lol.
Here are some of my magic castings

They get mixed in the middle bukket, sprinkled on some transplants, and topdressed to the hungry plants in bloom.
Over the last 2 years, my soil has also gotten 40 lb of ag limestone, 40 lb of greensane, and 30 lb of rock phosphate. It started as a mostly coco and leaf compost mix, now it's mostly humus and perlite, lol.
