MWD ~8wks. Not quite done, but comes down within the wk. I'm not waiting the 3 more wks that it took for the momma's top to ripen. If this plant had a killer smell, or heavy lowers or something, I may have waited, but she seems rather boring. I want to run some Spice x Dude with the next SuperSpice (Spice x SSHm1) seedrun to see what the different daddy's passed. Visually, they were similar plants, the SSH male seemed to smell stronger. Neither developed visible trichs.

how come you never grow any monsters not that theres any thing wrong with the size of yours (plants)
 
I grow with 400's, and it seems that the buds that are over ~30" from the light are almost worthless (loose). I run clones and seedplants, so I have to encourage the clones to grow, and try to restrict the seedplants to keep a manageable canopy. The plants that have been going in bloomboom until ~2wks ago were vegged under flouro's - not easy to get tall (healthy) plants under cfl's. Besides, after running outside this summer, there is no such thing as an indoor monster. :D

I have 2 large SSH down there now. They are in the SoopaSilvah thread. I had to flip a few mothers due to crowding in veg. I MAY flip my pakalolo mom, but I'm scared that she will take over the room and screw up my perpetual. Maybe I'll shave her and flip her. I just flipped a few pakalolo clones, and if more are rooted, I might not be able to flip the momma.
 
i run a 400 in the bloom room as well and i also have 2 30w flouros in a small veg cupard 2ftx1ftx3ft wich means i have to use my bloom room to veg for a couple of weeks before starting to flower well that wat i try to do .
my last run i didnt and ended up stunting them by potting them up and flowering strait away biggest fuck up id ever done ended up geting one grinder full off a nl5xh clone when my average is about 4-5 oz

i get wat your sayin about the canopy all my smaller plants sit on top of books to get an even canopy

ill have to stop typin now iv got cramp in my keyboard finger

herbMr, here are a few pix of the Pakalolo momma. She is a cut of the earlier of the 2 Pakalolos that I ran in the fall (labeled as #1 in this thread ~early Nov)

She is a lil hungry, but not hurting. I really don't feed in veg - just the lk/b1 spray and an occasional bit of castings or plant success. Usually by the time the plants get hungry (I mix a veg soil with some N in it), it is time to be flipped or re-potted (in the case of a mom). I just noticed the other day roots poking out of the pot a lil. If I do flip her I'll put her in a 5gallon hempy.

I have a round of clones that are STRU-GUL-LING. I am too cheap to heat the grow room, and as a result, I have times where the veg temps dip to the low 50's or so. I HAVE TO get a heat mat in there. Not for the air temps, but fer the roots. If the clones took like they were supposed to (I have a case of the supposta's)I would be flipping them this wk, and taking another round. I have the Pakalolo to whack up, a large Iffy that I don't want to flip, and I'm DYING to get cuts of ssh6 going, as the seedplant was/is FLAME. It's like Iffy (ssh1), but a very pleasant and strong indica high creeps up on me after ~10 min. The momma is in a 2l, and could give up some clones, but I'd rather clear the space, and veg her like that Pakalolo before I strip her.

Hey B :) Pakalolo is a seed from 'The Sativa Seedbank'. Pakalolo is loosely translated into crazy smoke in Hawaiian. The lineage of the seeds is supposed to be Hawaiian sativa x Sk #1. I got them for $16 on Sbay last fall, and they have produced 4 great plants. All of them very sativa heavy. I had a few vegging next to 4 SSH and some ogkush x g13/h when I had to tear down last year. I have since seen 4 females. A lil variation, as I had 2 plants done ~10wks (after first), one that went 12+, and the last one that went ~14 wks. Both of the long flower plants took ~ a month of 12/12 (after a lil veg time) to show. I made SSH crosses with the fastest plant, and the clone I have is of the next fastest. The plant I have a cut of reminds me A LOT of the DNA sweet haze cut I ran a few times when I started growing (smoke wise anyway).

Sativa seedbank is a Nirvana offshoot, so who knows what the true lineage is on those seeds, but they gave up some killer plants, IME. No more Pakalolo seeds, just the Superlolo (pakalolo x ssh). Lookin out for those boys - no homo. (lil wayne reference, he stays smokin that supersilver, and he has some real shit to say)

Bad news is that my POS hidhut digi 400w ballast died. It had a 1 year warranty, and guess when I bought it? Dec 07. I didn't even plug it in till Feb, and I didn't use it from May until ~Nov. I used it a total of 3-4 mo. 1/2 with a hps, and 1/2 with a MH. Well it WAS nice to have a MH in veg... I dropped a 125w envirolight in there for now. I'm going to rearrange the flower room, and put a 'naked' (no glass) 400w cmh in veg eventually.

I'm going to seal that up nice and tight once I figgure what I have available to use, light-wise. I'm thinking 2 x 400w CMH + 1 x 1k HPS on a mover covering ~4' x 6' or adding a cmh and going to ~4' x 8'.
 
Hi Barletta. The Pakololo seams like a funny cross to me. I have never tried pure Hawaiian or any hybrid made with it, so have no experience to share. But I’ve heard good things about it :)

Bad news indeed that your ballast died, but judging from what I’ve seen from you so far, the problem will be solved appropriately, lol. You’re truly a prolific grower :D

Yeah Buddha, I think that if you like the high from the Nev's (hazy), you would find a Pakalolo that you liked too. I liked all 4 girls that I grew, and I really didn't know that I liked sativas more before I started growing, but I do. Fukkin yesterday... LOL, I lost my veg light AND my carbon filter. Hey I didn't want that stuff around in the new year anyway, lol.

Hey thanks for the kind words. I'm looking forward to seeing something from you in the new yr, though!!! Even if you can't run inside ATM, bud grows up to 55deg from the equator... ;)

Thanks red :) Come on by, just call first, cause I don't answer the door if you don't call... I'm gonna make some stoner's day with the top on that MWD. I remember the first time I got a zip that was a top, 2 lil buds, and some shake. My jaw dropped. HS graduation day (my stupid ass wasn't graduatin, but I had the KIND bud, and FAT dimes :D) I went to a girl's house I knew (named Skye, hippie much???) to get it from her parents. I will never forget the experience of getting/having that bud for the weekend, but it didn't click that dood prolly grew it until I started choppin tops.

Like I said, call when you hit the bridge...

Hey is that iffy dry yet...DOH! I haven't smoked any in ~2wks, and I'm starting to FREAK. LOL, not really ssh 5, 6, pakalolo, and tweener have held me down ok, but I'm a wk from iffy!!

Well...

Here are 2 seedplants that I'm 95+% sure are ssh f2's. I'm thinking that the hazy one is from ssh1 (iffy), and the fast hazy one could be from either 2 or 3. The hazy one smells JUST like daddy :^)

~5/6wks since 1st - Can you smell it??? Like down wind, and a block away from a 'Stations of The Cross' service. INTOXICATING... This is head smoke, so she gets all the time she needs (11/12/14+???)

~6 wks since 1st - Fast, thick smelling haze, CHUNKY nugget right up the cola. Probably from SSH 2 based on size, and lack of purple (#2 and #4 WILL NOT purple). Would be a very nice commercial cut if they behaved like the seedplant. Won't go 60 days...

90% right on her momma Spice. I was brought back to the Spice seedplant's smell (from ~Feb) after 'snorting' on this plant for a few huffs. LOL, my name is barletta, and I'm a plant huffer...
