Grail: The Ultimate Haze Hybrid

The 707 is a Sour Diesel/OG Kush hybrid, however the loompa's headband is something much more different and exotic, very similar to original OG with more Haze qualities behind it. There's a few different phenotypes out there of the Loompa's Headband - Fire Bomb Indica (the indica Leaning), Candy Cut aka Underdawg (An awkward lanky sativa leaning pheno with 3 leaved structure - often considered the supreme cut), Hawaiian Diesel (I don't know much about this one), Riot Cut (Hazeish penotype, very bushy as well), Purple Pheno (Columnar in structure with purple tendencies).
All of these cuts are very rare and not passed around outside of a few people, so most likely if someone says they have it, they do in fact not have it.

I dont know which cut this is. It was hot shotted to me direct from Honeydew. Ive known the grower since 1980, as We dated identical twins together. He owns about a square mile of caynon and half of 3 mountains. He doesnt play around , and only keeps the very best. He started off growing in Santa Cruz in the mid 60s.
I called it headbanger because of what it does. Its a bit stronger than the OG or the Sour Diesel cuts He holds. But each of them have the potential to put You on the floor. I took a hit of the Headband and was passing the bong to my Son. I woke up on the floor flailing my arms. Luckily My Son got the bong before I lost it. Fuckin felt real good,but I thought I almost died when I awoke.

It may very well be. I grow Maple Leaf as well, and It does a very similar headrush.
Im currently running a LA Confidential/Maple Leaf plant from seed I produced in 09. Its a pretty wild looking plant and other people are very interested in it too. Great structure and look. Its going to be really good

I still have the original LA Affie cut that DNA entered in the cup as LA Confidential back in the day... it really is my best indica I have out of 200 something strains I've got running at anytime. I'd put it up with the White or any Master Kush anyday. Not many people are familiar with this Afghani #1 cut, but it's a winner. I'm thinking about working it with Tangerine Haze and the Uptown Haze as well as the Big Sur Holyweed... could be something dynoMITE! I have pictures of the uptown haze/nyc haze/piff seedlings at the moment. Lots of variety, not much uniformity between them.

as for the purples id like to mention IME purple kush and purple urkel are no doubt high grade all around and are some of the best strains ive had the pleasure to smoke .while i understand many feel purple strains are weak i have smoked many weak purple's but a few have made it too the top of my best smoke eva list .
a recent popular variety im not sure if its official is grand daddy purp which is been popular for the last 2 yrs cheap n colorful

the REAL purple kush from cali that everyone swears they have that made the name famous in from the early 80's was known to be held in the panther gap area of southern humbolt,the supposed origin was a vet's bring back who lived outside of petrolia.it was a staple in gaberville till 84 then no more .also purple kush has nothin to do with OG kush

when you say dna entered the cut as la con was this for there first win in 05 ,becaz i swear i havnt seen that pheno since soo that would make sense

ive been trying find out for the longest
for the record it was first called reef's haze bros haze
i dont believe there is one completed grow log on the net ,i guess that says it all
but i have found a few grows started ,if i recall one might have been here and the latest most popular cat OJD has/had a big haze grow with many haze varieties reefs haze bros haze being one ,he reported them all slightly except for reef's he had to cut them short n relocate has started again but hasnt answered my Q bout reefs HBH.
although its most likely not the grail ,im still curious as to the finished product and and solid review because that descriptions is spot on IMO

Headband - incredible mind blowing herb
The Original Headband - on the same level
707 Headband - not impressive at all

Thanks for clarifying bigherb, there is a cut going around in cali right now that people are calling purple kush, which has nothing to do with this original purple kush you are talking about. It is purportedly(no pun intended) a cross between OG kush and the Purps. I haven't smoked it, but a lot of people are raving about it.
Does anyone know about trinity? I have never heard of it.

I’m not aware if what I’m going to propose have been suggested already, because this thread is very long. But in theory, shouldn’t the grail have the full trippy power of the Thai Haze… with fruity or another kind of perfumed smell… and a flowering time close to Neville’s Haze?
Having said such… Why not blasting the Fruity Juice Highland Thai, with your Neville’s Haze male pollen… and working with high numbers, after careful selection of the perfect female (one that should not be very long flowering, to please the majority of growers), making her genes partially stable, and throw the dices for your favorite growers to test results?
I’m not saying it will be simple… but it seems tempting. And nobody said the Grail would be easy to achieve.
Just my 2 cents… and wish you all a wonderful weekend.

Yep, My LA Confidential is probably my strongest cut. I gave out 1 clone this year. The Guy got 2 pounds bud off it and He and His wife ended up having to weigh it out and split it between them, as it was causing fights and marital problems. The are hoarding the bud from that plant and wont share any with anyone. LOL

Im calling it 707, because its from Honeydew(707 area code). I also call it Headbanger. I dont know what cut it is, although I believe He refered to It just as Headband. My Partner is in His 60s, is a Multi multi millionaire. Owns at least a square mile in the prime mountain redwood area, and He doesnt play around with anyones second rate clones. He does not give out clones to Others either. He does it for Me because of Our past. Peace

I can't find HBclones anywhere but I do see the bud come
through here and there. 4me it's on par with the best OGs
in so far as you know when you are smoking the real deal.
True Headband is truly worth hoarding although I do hope
one day to see the real HB cut or at least hav access to it.

I make a product that was named "The Spinetingler" by a crab boat captain that runs out of the Lost coast. He was drumming for the band at a party at My Sons House in Humboldt, and lost his beat after 1 bong hit of this stuff. People say he talks about it to this day. Heres the recipe
1 part Sour Diesel Kief
1 part Headband Kief
1 part OG Kush Kief
1 part GDP Kief
4 parts Ground OG Kush bud.
Mix it well and offer it in an iced clean bong, and have them sit down first in case they go "OUT"

thanks for some of this info, mr. matthewriot, in particular your thoughts on dna and their flagship, l.a. confidential. over the years i have been trying to replicate my initial success with this one, never once thinking the breeder was putting out a different product from the original? so i blamed myself and changes in my growing methods, changes in the nute regimen, whatever as the reason things were no longer akin to the cup winner. and what has become of loompa? he was part of the mota militia awhile back but things have changed within that group. his grow threads of others work were always beautiful and he seemed diligent in his breeding efforts of late besides appearing to be an all around nice guy. best wishes all is well with him and peace-biteme
