Hi mate, do you do the mix seed to ensure genetic diversity, or just for the pleasure of having a smorgasboard of original lines? It seems like an unusual practice, yet one that provides a number of benefits - primarily through uncovering some robust mongrel material, that is then mated to your royal blue bloods, by which time you have a selection of strong, genetically diverse progeny.
Can you identify which seeds have been mated to the MM and which to the Oaxacan?
While I respect the fact that Nevil has some superior olfactory perception; it must be remembered that he also retains the title of as the King of Cannabis, and as such it's important that the King has a royal taster to ensure that he isn't poisoned.
For the service of the realm and the safety King Nevil 1st, I hereby publicly volunteer myself as royal taster, that the Crown isn't endangered by your suspect sativas.
Yeah mate I just like doing it for the diversity, with this lot I just collected pollen off the Mex and MM in the same container and hand pollinated them.
When it comes to the smells you can usually tell what was from what because the two males always put their own smell to each cross and that is added to the underlying smells of the female .
This year I also crossed the Space Shuttle to both males, but seperately of course, as i also did to the Mex x WW and MM x WW.....This could prove to be very interesting. But you can see the problems when I do this, is that I now have 8 crosses to look at and grow and without the aid of lights its to much
Here are some pics of the two males I used this year, you can see the big leaf on the MM and the slighly thinner leaf on the Mex.
They are on a hot western slope without water so look a bit poor
Lol.....mate I am sure you will always be the royal tester
