the best northern lights seeds, wich breeder ?

Sorry for the confusion. There's two parts to the clone comment. First, the clones were typically identical to the seed mother, so there wasn't a change based solely on using a clone. Second, I was able to procure a few clones from a friend who made selections from beans that he independently purchased. Regardless of seed or clone, I haven't come across an Atomic NL that looked like the Doc's on his website.

Despite the variation in structure and buzz, one thing was common: potency. I had some heavy indica phenos with a knockout stone, but also had some that were more sativa in structure that was a good mix of a high and stone. Where the Doc's NL excels is in the potency of the strain. Some were exceptional and others were very good.

After reading the history of Atomic NL, it becomes clear that the variation is due to the Doc crossing different NL lines and using multiple sources in making his selections. In my experience, Atomic NL is unique from the SSB version and I presume from that of Ortega as well. I would consider Atomic NL to be a combination of many NL varieties rather than simply calling it NL5 as many often do.

i think your spot on mate. i think the Dr put time into his strain of nl.

did anybody try the kc brains NL special ? the dutch passion oasis ? bcsc nl5 ?

bcsc are renowned for ripping people of sending anything out through the post. so if i were you i would stay clear they may have nl5 but that doesn't mean that's what you will get from what i have heard about the company. try getting a over all idea of the company your planing on getting your seeds from before buying from them is always a good idea. as a lot just wont to take your money. if your looking for nl try following it right back to nev from the company you plan on buying it from. now we know he started it at the seed bank then moved to sensi then mr nice so these 3 are safe. so any company with a connection with these are safe bets as well. maybe you should ask shanti or neville it it will be re released in the near future. you never know it may be one of the projects there working on now. and from the source is always the best bet imoa.;)

The BCSC NL#5 is a very nice plant, very uniform and strong.Mine got from 3 to 5 feet outdoors with very short fat indy leaves, the plant has a really solid structure and looks like it would be a very good breeding plant. Also you may wanna check out peakseeds.I have grown their NL#5 and it is a very sturdy plant as good or better than the BCSC which they actually used as half of their NL#5 when they came up with their own.Either BCSC or Peak will make you happy.

Great NL male and female Coxnox. It looks like you've kept it pure. I put out heaps of NL5xNL2. It was the new standard for indoor Northern Lights. So, what were the results like from the NL mating? The male is typical of his ancestors. It's what a real male looks like.
How many generation has your line been inbred?
N.

NL Male

The NL male shown is Dr. Atomic's male which is supposed to be a clone from original seed bank stock NL from 1987. Which NL does the male lean towards in your opinion Nevil?

Yeah, Doc Atomic's is a inbred NL5x2 and I've heard nothing but great reports about it over the years, one day I'll try it, I liked NL5x2 back in the day.

Nev wrote some nice clear descriptions of NL1, NL2 and NL5x2 for the old catalogues, here are some old seed catalogue the pages with an NL5 pic for reference purposes. Sadly I can't find all the pages, I have them on a disk somewhere.
