Mango Haze and Mango Haze IBL, in search of a keeper

A couple more smoke reports, really starting to enjoy doing this.

Mango Haze IBL#3:

She was a big yielder and after vaping still one my favorites. The smell now is very much like honey with some haziness and a little bit mango.
Not to loud but present.
The high from her is outstanding, very euphoric, up an cerebreal but a bit shorter in duration, after 2h I would vape some more.
Your thoughts stay clear and focused.
Next time she will be flowered a bit longer.
Although the high is shorter it is of prime quality, for now one of the keepers for sure.
The trichs have very well developped and big heads, another good characteristic.
She has that greasy/oily feel to her.

Next is Mango Haze IBL#4 (former wheat pheno):
After some curing she smells like apple, some perfume but also some grassy smell. She was harvested to early, my experience is that this brings the grassy smells.
The high is surprisingly good, a bit heavier than IBL#3 but still very up and has a better duration of 2,5h.
Very sativa look to the flowers.

Last one for today is Mango Haze #8.
Another powerhouse with a nicely balanced high, very euphoric in the beginning (you can feel her good in your stomach) and leaves you floating on air after a while.
She brings on the munchies afterwards and food tastes better!
Initial smell is soft mango, some skunk and also very floral, also of medium strenght.
She is a bit more sticky and greasy.

Still MH#14, MH#4 and MHI#6 to go, I will make the reports next week.

Yes but it is far from that and it is still working out for now.
I don't understand it...
I thought I started to figure out growing under LED but it seems that it is far more complicated.
Every grow you learn some more.
hey was just reminded i recently posted at icmag forums about how the cold temps/low rh showed a change in the plant near the outside intake of the grow tent under led going into fall time

in the first picture the whole tent is healthy in early september, but going into flower as the weather gets colder the plant near the intake shows the progression going into october

i mentioned +25°c for led but actually it is a bit higher. from what i have gathered one would need to keep the temps (and therefore humidity) up and keep it up or else the plants will always do this when under white led. i am one of many of this new wave of growers using led who's plants end up like this

but i have seen some pictures of led weed that is immaculate in that thread and other places, and those growers tend to be elusive in sharing their environment details, but i have to assume they are keeping the temps and rh within that spec there is just no other explanation not medium/fertilizer

here is a link to the post in that thread at ic mag:

and here is a link to a cannabis content creator on youtube who grows absolutely perfect led grown weed and also happens to be a comedic genius, the show is a riot and super informative. funny thing though, he recently relocated to alaska and i have noticed this yellowing in some of his plants, although i am sure he will get them to turn out amazing if you look at any of his videos he is always displaying his bud and it is quite incredible

It seems more and more likely that i will end up popping these first as my Mr.Nice debut...
Good call Proud Kraut, this line carries very high quality high's that are more sativa in effect.
This line really pics you up and is very kind to your soul, I experienced very good potency in all the different pheno's.
Out of 14 females there is one I did not like to much, it was still ok and certainly above average.

That says it all.

Thank you @dankd, I will look into the thread and your video.
Your observations are also what I read and learned about in the past (and also have seen in my first 100% LED grows) yet this grow I seem to prove the opposite.

I'm growing sativa dominant hybrids under LED's and with temps that are at night 12°C at root zone and 13°C at canopy level and with lights on I get 13-15°C at root zone and 18-20°C at canopy level.
Plants are still ok, nice green colour and no stunted grow or extreme purpling of the stems.

Really makes me wonder what causes the small succes?

I must say that I'm a bit struggling with the waterings, due to the cold they drink far less and some pheno's don't like when their feet stay moist for to long.
Yield will be certainly low but quality is there.
I will try to upload some pics.

Still MH#14, MH#4 and MHI#6 to go, I will make the reports next week.
This are some beautiful buds Swifty. Looks like you have nurtured them to full potential and what an awesome potential to have to work with...

i think the temps and humidity just need to be raised to get the plants back to health. although it does seem sativas are more adapted to the low humidity and high light if just by my experience with a narrow leaved critical skunk that was the most resilient to the led during winter compared to the indicas

if you get the temps consistently over i don't know 26°c or so and the humidity up to a normal range if it isn't already i don't see why things wouldn't turn completely around and you get something that will finish healthy and green which is my goal now (only in my case mostly hps with a bit of led)

Sounds very good...

So a bit behind the updates on the 2nd Mango selection round, let's get to it:

It is day 38 of flowering here, plants are still doing their thing despite it being very cold in the tent.
Last week giving Silic Rock and Calmag at 0,5ml/l with their feed Alga Bloom at 1,5ml/l.

You can alreay tell that harvest is going to be small but quality is on par.
They are already smelling very nice.
Stretch is over for most of the plants.

Vape report of Mango Haze#14:

This pheno cured to a pleasant subtle sour scent with some undertones of eau de cologne and also some cheese/musk.
Taste is more on the sweet side with a subtle nod to mangoes.

I bought a couple of mangoes 2 weeks ago to compare and now I can say for sure that a couple of pheno's also have mango in the nose but no full dead on mango in my pheno's.
No worries, i still have a straw left and I will run these alongside the Nev's Hazex Mango this year.

I've been vaping her for the last week and she is good.
Potency is strong but up, I start to recognise the high that this line carries in a lot of pheno's now.
She stands out for being a bit racy at the start and then nice waves of euphoria.
After a good 2hours she leaves you mellowed out with a big grin on your face.
You can still think fairly clear and have nice conversations although you think you are less capable to do so.

Quick update:

It is day 45 of flowering here.

Had to top one of the Mango Haze IBL as it grew past the light!
I start to see what cold does to budset in this grow.
SSH keeper seems to be a bit less effected.

how cold are we talking? the super silver haze indeed seems to be way less affected.
Since the beginning of the grow untill now it averages 14,5°C at night and 19,7°C lights on.
It is in my garage but it is winter here, next grow will be normal.
This SSH pheno is special in many ways for me.
I have another pack of SSH coming in the mail any day now.
I hope to find a least one good male to pair to her.🤞
