Speaking of Humingbirds, we have Great Blue Herons here also. They are so cool looking, kinda pre-historic looking. One of my many very few Ex's had a small pond and a Great Blue Heron came there to hunt. It was awesome seeing it spear goldfish, frogs, etc. with it's beak. Wish I had a camera then!

My mums side a long time ago. Mum was born here. I’m not on ig but can definitely have a look. I haven’t been there but I want to take the kids,ya know, show them where they come from.
Nice kinda like a buddy of mine from there who got married and moved to Australia his grandkids will only hear about there until they go .

Have you ever been to anguilla or st barths? Closest islands to me . 🙃😁
Looks wonderful , never been though, I've only had the time and money to visit usual tourist areas like Cuba, Jamaica, Barbados, Costa Rica. I have some friends who spent some time sailing down in your neck of the woods. I'd love to rent a sailboat for a month long vacation and visit the islands where you and Fish are from. How legal is it down there?

Another long distance traveler, only humming bird that can make it across the Gulf ot Mexico (I'm into birds more than ever, since COVID started). Some of them will hitch rides on cruise ships.

Blue herons are all over, doesn't have to be salt water. Impressive birds in many ways

I think st kitts is on the legalization train . However where I am it is still illegal. Just yesterday they busted someone's home grow apparently. Some real nice plants I will take a screenshot of the video.Screenshot_20220901-093818_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20220901-093807_Gallery.jpg

The Giant Kingfisher, also called kookaburra, is a species of bird in the Alcedinidae family found in Australia. A mythical bird in Aboriginal culture, its song resembles a hoarse laugh. His name in English is laughing kookaburra

great

Thats him, you do get a bit of variation, that one has blue feathers on the wings. Further south ive heard thats not the case.

Thank for the kind words Deach69! :) Surprisingly, I did not get a cast. There were 25 sutures inside the wound and 25 metal staples outside holding the wound together. This was bandaged and had to be changed daily for 2 weeks. I think there was no cast because a drain tube was inserted into my elbow). The drain tube went to a 10 inch square battery operated box which also had a drain reservoir. I had to wear this box for 2 weeks. Showered with the box, slept with the box, shit with the box. The batteries created a negative vacuum which would pull any fluid into the drain reservoir. A single drop of fluid would mean my 'new' elbow was getting infected and I would need a 3rd emergency surgery. Luckily, not a single drop and after 2 weeks the tube was removed. In the lower center of this picture, between the staples, you can see a hole in my incision, that is where the drain tube was. Any other holes would be from bones going thru the skin when I fell. The whole experience has been fairly awful!
