Don't know....

the name of this flower even though it is growing in my yard. Most likely one of the last flowers I will see until Spring. Not counting the flowers in the garage. Can we count them?

Fall Flowers Weeds

Wait. Don't weeds have flowers too? How do you tell if it is a flower or a flowering weed? All I know about 'flowers' is that each one is a potential opportunity for a nice photo. Now, take this group of flowering weeds. Doesn't look like much, does it?

In this photographic situation we would say in my country, to get a good picture you will need to get 'down and dirty' with these flowers. A fellow forum member, the illustrious @Mr. Brown, is from another country. In his country, to get a good picture they would say that you will need to get 'balls deep' with the flowers. So I did. I got 'balls deep' with the flowering weeds and got a fairly decent picture! ;)

In the country that I come from we say you have to get 'auf Tuchfühlung' with the flowers :)

And even that I come from far far away I heard of 'down and dirty'

Just in a different context ;)

Really nice photos, flower weeds would make a nice assignment. Show us your pretty "weeds" folks

A weed is an unwanted plant btw, just sayin

Bald Faced Hornet

Noticed this Bald Faced Hornet's nest the other day when going out to get the mail. Mailbox bottom of picture, Bald Faced Hornet's nest just left of dead center of picture.

Bald Faced Hornet's nest above my neighbor for a bit of size comparison. About 700 hornets live in here.
