Yo that sucks to here Ronin. How far along were they? Don't CURL up, smoke some Lanina and do PULL ups :)

Shout out to all the folks in construction. I'm messin around down below, and I'm beat (after ~2hrs of fukkin round). Gonna do like Money Floyd Mayweather and "Step my game up." Enclosing a 5 x 10 space, and gonna get the filter hung from the ceiling (or kill myself trying;) ). Planning on a 4'+ x 8'+ footprint. Building the space with 2x4's, t-111, and B+W poly.

Who saw Nate fly over the bigman???

G/Sk f2's, 36hrs on the modem - NO KELP/LK :)10 for 10 popped, 9 look like they are growin @ ~ the same rate, the other looks a day behind.

SF, peep the arrow ;)

I have ~15 healthy FreeB seedlings up, and I finally grabbed a dozen cuts of SSH 6 :D

Ct can you hear me...Like it was your first day...you was an intern...stay hungry...

I saw that shit, and it sank in, but settled in the haze resin. Then I heard it on some playlist with 2500 songs, as I was stressin over shit, and it hit me. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Makes me want to kick myself for everyday I did NOTHING. Even something aint nothing.

Gonna roughly enclose the space tomorrow.

Going to Depot 2moro. We gonna build a reflector as outlined here:
http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=14472

Then we are going to arrange 4 x 400's covering a 5 x 5 footprint. I'm getting ahead of myself. I can't get out to depot 2moro till the sun goes down, and I won't be able to re-arrainge till Tue. I have to do something. The dropped veg light, cold and PM all teamed up on me. My yield for the last ~3wks is less than 1/2 of what it was during the warmer months. I needed a heatmat for veg. My clones took forever to root, and the wet/dry cycles on the small plants took FOREVER, and growth reflected it. In flower, the plants didn't stretch OR want to go through more than one 'esplosion' in flower. An overwatered plant stayed wet for over a wk. 'mergency seedplants prolly averaged ~20g. Sumertime SuperSpices were all 1+, and the 3 in the bags were bill payers. These Superlolo's are gonna come in MUCH lighter than that, and I have already sent 1 plant to the trim bukkit 5 wks early...

I have 3 plants that are from my 'breeder emergency' pack. They have the best probability of bieng: Menege eTrois, Kalichakra, Pakalolo, T.Haze x Sk, east island indica x timewarp. MAY be: Orange D, SSH, OgKush x g13/h, Sweet haze, Martian mean green. They are unsexed, and prolly a wk-->10days in 12/12. If I had to guess right now, I'd say I have 2 Menege E trois (very indica looking) and prolly a Kalichakra, possibly a pakalolo or hz/sk. (sat leaning hybrid).

The indicas are stinky lil fukkers. I can see how people with rooms full of indica have issues. Indy strong is obnoxious. Gonna be fun with these 7-10 FreeB seedplants ;^)

100%

Thats wats up 10 outa 10 good shit keep on thuggin on Bar sounds like ur gunna b havin a busy season

Hehe, these are for the 'Early Spring' season ;) Droppin some SSH f2's now. Honestly when the seeds get the kelp spray, they tend to have 2-3 grow a good bit faster than the rest of the group. To me, these appear to be sort of slow, but more uniform than normal. Gonna drop 10 ssh f2's the same way, but with a weak maxicrop spray. 1/8 of a teaspoon/quart is 1/2 strength, and my bottle holds ~40oz. Lil less than 1/2 strength.

Possible crosses:
female #'s 1,2,3 x male #1 and fem. #'s 1,4,5,6 x male #2. I THINK that I grew 2 ssh f2's so far, #2 x M1, and #3 x M1. Both excellent performers. :D

Good Job B!!

100% is as good as it's gonna be.

I think the quality of the seed is the one of most important factors in germination success. "Quality" includes "storage and handling" up to the actual time the seed is germ'd.

What do ya think?

Since I 've seeds out the gazzoo...I was thinking of something L33t said one time....about sativas being pretty good smoke even when harvested a little early.....sooo

Maybe I'll germ a few SSH f2s and clone them. then put the clones out in late july as you suggested one time.

I mean if I can find a good spot, nothing much is lost but my time and effort...if we have a early sept snowstorm or something.

Right?

You could also try to start flowering those clones indoors and take em out as soon as the hours of light drop down enough to keep em flowering. This way you can make sure even if its a late pheno it will make it on time

http://www.gaisma.com/en/location/pasto.html
you can check at the above site the day duration (sunrise/sunset and dusk/dawn) in your area if you like.

As for harvesting sats bit earlier , I can say I 'd still prefer to have some early chopped hazy SSH for personal stash than a fully ripe SK/NL hybrid plant. The SSH would get me at least equally high and would have a high profile closer to what I prefer. but i guess its all down to personal preference

Yo brother's :^). SF, you just need a quick clone...

I figgure you ~45 deg N. Plant's won't re-veg if placed from 12/12 outside after ~July 10 where you are. 5 deg = a wk. 40 deg has to wait till ~July 17, 35 deg has to wait till ~July 24...

ANYWAY, If you kept a clone at 20+ hrs of light (4 or less hrs dk...)and placed it outside on July 17 (1 wk leeway), you would see first flowers in a wk, and would have 8 more wks until Sept 18. I've only had the 1 ssh that was 10+ wks from clone, and I'm gonna run her the same way. I'm 90% sure that SSH's 4 and 5 will be finished for me on time w/o any manipulation.

On a side note, I don't think that a lot of people understand that the days get shorter faster (lose daylight per day at an increasing rate) as we go from ~Jun 21 to ~Sept 21. This effect is more pronounced at lattitudes further from the equator. This has as much of an effect on outdoor flowering IMO as the '12 hour nights'. That's why a given strain, allowed to flower properly, and w/o manipulation, will finish sooner the further north you go. Of course the season gets shorter at a faster rate as you go north...

I don't think you will have any problems finishing some plants, SF. I do think that it would be worth your while to take, label, and run some clones to select for those that trigger/finish early. You could also start em flowering 3-4 wks, then get em outside, but you lose a lot, not letting the sun grow the roots in early flower. That, and moving big plants is a pain in the ass.

Right.

SF, you are doing the noob thing, and I figgured that I'd do kinda the same thing. Just a step by step till the plants are in the flower bukkits. I won't be going into ANYWHERE NEAR the detail that SF does, but I will try to explain what I do, and why I do it.

Now I take a big rip of SSH 5...

Here are 10 SSH F2's. I rinsed the paper towel out under my tap (which is good water for growing). Then I mixed 1/8 tsp maxicrop in a 32oz bottle (quart, dunno why I thought it was bigger). Soaked the papertowel ~70%.

1/2 strength is darker than I thought (I never measure, and I rarely make it this dark for clones/seeds)

EDIT - SSH is good shit. Even the quick phenos...

Imagine that you fast forward 2 days, and those 10 seeds have all popped. They are SSH f2's, and I planted the G/Sk f2's. I'll let ya know how the ssh's germ. I just picked the first 10 that fell out of the tube I have em in, 1 looks a lil small, but I expect em all to pop on the modem.

I fill 20 oz beer cups with ~18 oz of soil and DON'T COMPRESS. Then dig out a lil circle ~1/2" deep in the middle. G/Sk f2's will be unlabeled red cups.

EDIT - Twisted when I did this...
Now plant the popped seedlings tail down. I place em in the 1/2" recession, and LIGHTLY drive them flush with the soil. Sprinkle some existing cup dirt over top. The idea is to anchor the seed by placing the tail in the dirt, then cover it a lil.

Now I add the missing 2oz back to the cup, and LIGHTLY pat the soil down. If it is moist, I don't pack it. Soil compaction's a muthafukka. Then I spray the top of the soil. I heard SF say that it's like nature, and that makes sense. If I just pour water in, it runs off, and doesn't evenly wet the surface. I spray, wait, then drizzle the kelp solution. Oh, after I sprayed ~1/2 the bottle, I refilled it. The seeds were essentially watered in with 1/3 strength kelp solution. I just add enough fluid to add a lil weight. If they run through at this point, I watered em too much. If I'm putting them in the sun late May, I'd soak the hell outta the cups...

A quick way to wipe down wet/dirty/muddy cups is to put a sock on yer hand :)

Here is where they go to pop up.

Some dry shots.

SSH #5 on left, ~8wks 12/12 from clone, no cure. I think the bud on the right is from the 'fimmed' 'mergency (purple, 2 softball tops),seedplant went ~9wks after 1st, ~10 days in the jar.
S7304040.JPG

Green bud is SSH #5 Purple bud is Spice x SSH

fark m8 is that dust or trichomes all over the place?
if its trichomes are u looking for a cleaner? lmao
nice pics m8
good on you

The nugget on the left is Spice x SSH, I THINK it was the plant with the peachish fans. The other (out of focus) bud is Spice x ssh. She is the 'topped' plant, and the 'green bud' in some previous pix (the middle bud in the pic with the red lighter and notebook if you are keeping score). Fire. She is one of those 'special' smokes. Deffo what I want to selct towards. Heavy, went 9/10 wks after 1st, amazing smoke, sexy green buds.

Yo feller's, what's good :^) Sun's goin down, and I'm followin it to the hardware store. Gonna build a reflector. That is prolly 75% trichs, and a lil dust. I move that thing around, buds in and out, whatever, but it does sit upright 99% of the time, and I don't really 'wash' it :winkage:

Wackros!!!

Purple SuperSpice (similar to tweener)

SF, thank you :) It's Shanti's genetics, I just didn't cut em early, lol :D

"...I never wash it...years of trichs..."

Well I'm washin it now aint I?!?!

Fukkin hot coco.

I got the stuff to build the reflector today. I got a hotwater heater pan instead of the sheetmetal, as the depot only had these scraps. Big day 2moro. I have to move all of the plants out while I play Bob the Builder.

Hey I grabbed some more perlite and some pulverized limestone at the depot today. My soil gobbled up the perlite. I threw a cup or 2 of the limestone into each bukkit (flower and veg). I have lots of pelletized lime (espoma garden lime) and some dolomite in the mixes, but I'm thinkin that re-using the soil will acidify it, and I will have to add more lime than I'm used to.

I was reading online bout pulverized limestone vs. dolomite lime, and the pulverized doesn't have the Mg. I don't think that I'll have an issue, as I have other sources - castings, kelp, greensand, molasses, crabshell, and compost dunkins.

I've also been reading about the effect of K on flowers/flowering plants. My flower room has been quite cold, and adding the maxicrop with the majority of the waters has prevented the heavy purpling. I fully expect the plants to purple if/when I start to cut it out of the food. Maxicrop is listed as 1-0-4, and they reccommend a tsp/gal 1x/wk. I have been using ~1/2 strength very often. I got this as a replacement for the algamin I usually use. The online shop substituted on me. I didn't mind, cause I paid for $16 worth of algamin, and they sent me $30 of maxicrop. I usually mix the algamin in the soil heavy, and throw it as a topdress every wk or so, and heavy on transplants. I think that the plants appreciate the consistient feedings with the soluable maxicrop more.

Oh, that lime was under 3 bux for the 40lb bag. Guess what is going in my outdoor mix bags??? BTW, the green purina dog chow bags are relatively camo (overnight drop off), and are conviently sized to carry compost for an outdoor spot or 2...

Got some of the ssh6's in here, and some under the shop lights. This box is sort of 'harsh', as it is hot and fukkin bright. I am interested in seeing if the cuts root faster in here, or under the shoplight, soft and warm. I know that they SUCK rooting under the MH in the cold. I expect the box will root em faster due to the intensity. I'm keepin the ssh#1 cuts in here until they root, cause I know they will root in here :p

Here is my new lime bag! Oh boy...

What the FUKK is THIS, Flacco???? I told you I wanted the WHITE!!! Lol, looks like cement (kinda is...)
