I was told it's the relentless breeders cut. It was from a dude in ohio that sells a handful of cuts. I hlvd tested the cuts I got from him and they were all clean. But of course it's all a trust thing. She purples up really nice and very frosty. And she smells and tastes so good. I get a cherry 7up type of smell. Great daytime smoke.

NLX was something you could find on the streets here end 90's and beginning of 00's.
I do doubt that it was the real deal we got back then tbh, this strain already made fame and every one seems to had that at the time.
In the beginning of the 00's I frequently visited coffeeshops in Terneuzen, Breda, Maastricht and Roosendaal.
It was there that I was pretty certain I got that strain on numerous visits, I cannot remember where exactly I bought that strain.
Could be all those places but I'm not sure.
I do remember to buy it in coffeeshop Checkpoint in Terneuzen, that place was known for quality.
The seeds I bought in growshop Alien (don't remember the breeder), must be around the same time periode.
Very nice in trichomes covered plants, A friend and I bought each a new pack after growing these out.
I will look if I have any notes left from that grow.

Yes, it’s true that new strains like Gelato, Gorilla Glue, Cookies, etc. are very potent, but I find they all taste/high rather similar.
Often it’s the same group of clones (mainly SFV OG Kush, GSCookies and the classic SSH Amnesia) that are crossed and backcrossed over and over again.
Even the Chemdog 91 clone for example, despite being very well known, is rarely used in new strains.
What’s more, some breeders now have the unfortunate tendency to carry out THC or terpenes tests in the lab but don’t actually smoke their creations, so we end up with potent strains but always with the same high or an unpleasant high.
As for the NLX, I recall that it originally comes from Nirvana (im maybe wrong), so that might be why it’s a bit less potent than an original NL or WW.
But i think that with a good cross between NL and Black Widow from Shanti and bit of seelction you can surely find a phenotype just as potent as the new strains.

They sell so i get it, but it's doing nothing for the gene-pool.
I hadn't heard the Nirvana nlx origin before, i knew they, as did most budget seed companies sold a version of nlx, whether it was called that or not.. but i had always thought it was a dutch production cutting that you could buy back in the 90's when things were more liberal concerning cannabis.. Oh the good old days...lol
