I like soft tacky flammable flowers. I hate flower that crumbles or powders. As you say personal preference.

Same here. Flower that crumbles and turns to powder is garbage. Of course, to someone else it may be flower from heaven. No right or wrong, do what you like.

What do your put you flower in to freeze it?

I use a brown half gallon mason jar stuffed chocked full. At 66% it's quite flexible so a lot can be carefully put into a jar. For the half-gallon jars I usually cut the buds down to 8 inches and put them in the jar, stalks and all. Oh yeah, leaves and all too. No trimming until I smoke it. The jar is put in a brown paper bag and not disturbed until use. It you can store the jar where it don't get moved at all, that's the best. Like you said, personal preference. Lots of my ideas I get from things Nevil had said and then make them work for me.

At the end of the day, preservation of the flower picked at its prime is the goal, and then long term storage.

That is always my goal. So far I've been lucky in that the buds stick to my fingers for a couple years and smell like I just picked them. Of course, it you fuck up the drying and curing, freezing won't help one bit. lol After a couple-few years you start to notice some changes. After a number of years it gets reduced to about twice as good as anything you can get in a dispensary in USA.

A drummer I know claims to have frozen weed from the 70's, 80's, etc. I don't know as he don't share. He's tighter than a bullfrog's ass and that's waterproof!

5 Year Old Northern Lights aged like a fine wine. Anyone can freeze pot for 5 years but was it still any good? I thought it was pretty damn strong but it is always better if other people say it. Last Thursday was 'Bronson's' Birthday so we took him out to dinner. It you want to find the best pot in USA you need to hit the 'jam band scene'. At dinner was Jon The Taper who tapes jam bands and has posted hundreds of concerts up on Internet Archive. J-Dog the bass player in the jam band Glass Pony, myself, and or course, 'Bronson'. Bronson has been promoted to distributor of product to licensed NYS Dispensaries. Whatever they sell he tries, flower, pre-rolls, hash, vapes, edibles, concentrates, any and everything. He also trades product with other distributors so he is always smoking the 'best' the licensed breeders of New York State produce. When has says; 'We got nothing this good", well,......

When researching freezing weed all said freezing will make trichomes brittle and they break off, your pot is ruined, so don't do it. If trichomes falling off is a problem......I remember my favorite boss used to tell me; 'You got a problem? Solve it. Or get solved!" I rode that one a long way. lol How to solve trichome problem? As this was only my second grow I didn't know a lot so I thought the easiest thing to do was to grow plants with twice as many trichomes! This way if any fell off I'd still have more trichomes than I started with!




I did ok with the trichomes. I see quite a few dead bugs in there. The buds were gooey and sticky when growing and lots of bugs were getting stuck! 5 years later the weed feels more oily and greasy than sticky.




The plant had 'WINNER' written all over it so I just let it feed.....

Until it was ready. I had topped it hoping to keep it smaller but instead it looks more like 2 giant plants!

The seed came from a local grower who had never heard of Nevil or Mr. Nice and didn't know NL had numbers. Same here.

I think my first grow was a bit better because I also grew some awesome Master Kush. Got the Jack Herer and Master Kush seeds from the same guy. He had damn good seeds!

The MK looks nice I have some in my collection from MNS awaiting a dry year.
I tried them once before, maybe MSNL? and the leaf to calyx ration was poor, so I look forward to trying again.
I was curious as it was a pretty plant.
In this day and age it’s all a name.
Medicinal qualities are all that counts.

Master Kush - first grow. I thought it looked pretty good for a first time grower. As your first grow is usually your worst grow, future the looked great! Turned out better than I could have imagined!

Something I picked up backstage on Saturday night while working at the Monkey House in Burlington, Vermont.




Looking across Lake Champlain from Burlington, Vermont towards Port Douglas, New York. The lake is 120 miles long and about 12 miles wide at this point. The mountains are another 5-10 miles inland. The view from New York is about the same as Vermont's Green Mountains are across the lake.




Lake Champlain is home to over 90 species of fish, including 'large' Smallmouth Bass.




Lake Champlain is also home to 'Champ'.
