Yes, the Jack was grown outdoors about 17 miles west of me at the base of the Helderberg Mtns.

I did grow some Orange Chameleon outdoors and indoors from the same packet of Orange Chameleon seeds. A few indoors, a few outdoors, at the exact same time. Same soil, same food, tried to keep everything as much the same as possible. The major differences, one was getting sunlight, the other LED light. The other difference was the environment. It was much, much easier to control the VPD indoors. Outdoors was uncontrollable temperature swings, humidity swings, torrential downpours, weeks of 90+F/ 32+C drought, Hurricane Irene, every bug and pathogen trying to eat your plant. Conclusion: there are way too many uncontrollable variables to come to any fair conclusion of indoor or outdoor being better as they are growing in completely different environments which will affect all the possible outcomes.

The indoors finished about 2 weeks earlier. Both were sent to a lab for testing. One had higher THC and tasted much better. The lower THC one got everyone much more stoned. I kept the stoner and gave the 'better' stuff away.

Orange Chameleon grown outdoors on the left, Orange Chameleon grown indoors on the right. I would expect the same results if I grew NL5xHzC X SK1xHzC indoors/outdoors at the same time. One would be clearly better.

You are certainly right about each grow being different and thus giving varying results.
My SSH cut has been grown indoor/outdoors numerous time be myself but also by several friends.
Me and my friends have debated the indoor/outdoors much over the years but never got a solid answer to that question.
We used the same cuts and did blind smoke tests and in the end we concluded that it was more of a personal preference.
I started as an outdoor grower and love that more than indoor growing to this day but even I chose indoor above outdoor on a couple of occasions (mostly not!).
We took this even further with led vs hps vs cmh and at the time, hps and cmh were king but with the newest led's I feel that could be different now.

In the end there is only one thing that matters imo, does it get you high as a kite/ stoned to the bone?:cool:

We also did this. Again, seems to be a blend of personal preference and familiarity. I've had awesome stuff grown under all.

For me, this is the only thing that counts. I grow outdoors for 2 reasons. 1) I really love doing it. 2) It gets me really high.
That pretty much ticks every box I've ever had. K.I.S.S.

I don't think the battle is between indoor/outdoor or HPS/LED.

Any serious grower knows that indoor growing is better than outdoor growing and that HPS lighting gives better results than LEDs (especially for sativas).

The real question is: whit indoors growing and under HPS, what gives the best results?

Hydro/aeroponics with mineral fertilisers or living soil with organic fertilisers?

Were the two samples both indoors or one of each environment? If different environments which was which?
 
Well, I'm talking strictly in terms of potency and intensity of flavour (terpene content).

Some people prefer the more natural feel of the outdoors plants.

Maybe spell it out for me, but I can’t find where it identifies the high vs. low Thc samples?
I get same seeds, different environment but for the like of me can’t see where you’ve said sample grown in x/y had highest Thc? “One had…..”
 
The THC content is not very relevant, there are too many different cannabinoids

Ice o lator hash have +40% THC and I am always more high whit weed.
 
"Dawdle"

Not sure of the genetics but we call it 'Dawdle' because after everyone smokes it they.....dawdle! Dawdle means to waste time, loiter, or move slowly. It implies a lack of purpose or urgency in one's actions, often resulting in a delay. Dawdling suggests that someone is spending time on unimportant things when they should be focused on a task or reaching a destination.
