From my knowledge of the UK Cheese pheno, the first post has it pretty much correct, and this come from a source from another seed breeder which I will not mention b/c I'm not sure if it cool here.
I have had this debate w/ so called experienced growers, and many others on different forums about Cheese being nothing more than a Skunk #1 phenotype. Every Cheese Plant I have seen, and I will not mention the producer of the Cheese seeds, has not looked near as good as many of my Skunk strains. I think the Skunk #1 I purchased from the Seed Bank in 1988 is my favorite b/c it looks literally looks like cotton balls w/ leaf blades sticking out here & there. It is also one of the strongest smelling Skunk strains I have.
To me, UK Cheese is just a hype placed on a Skunk #1 pheno to create more seed sales by mythical claims. Honestly, When I grew a Cheese clone aquired from the UK, it had a moldy smell and kind of smelled like Parmesan Cheese which I hate, so it was defiantely not appealing to me.
