Super Silver Haze x Haze AC testers

Iam still maintaining VPD ~1 and good temperatures 26-27°C
No more nutrients, just pHed water with some biobizz juju algae additives.

I will wait just a bit more to see if #1 & #2 are females (especially #1).
If these are not females, then fresh new seeds are expected to be planted.

- multiple branches with good elongation and even more shoots coming
- if it is actually female I will spread her over whole 60x60 as only female

Good afternoon, fellow growers and lovers of the finest herb. One Love.

Today it's Flower Day 71 for the Silver Haze from Sensi Seeds and Flower Day 64 for my Super Silver Haze × Haze AC testers.

Quite a bit has changed over the past week. The Silver Haze trichomes are starting to turn cloudy now. There's still plenty of clear resin, but I'm seeing the first amber heads as well, especially on the lower buds. The top colas are still mostly clear to cloudy, with only a few amber trichomes so far.

If everything keeps progressing at this pace, I might just hit the sweet spot and be ready to harvest in about a week and a half.

I've stripped off most of the yellow fan leaves, so she's definitely looking like she's entering her autumn fade now.

On the Super Silver Haze × Haze AC, Big Mama, I removed the large fan leaves from roughly the lower two-thirds of the plant, as you can probably see in the pictures. She's starting to fade as well, although it's more noticeable on Big Mama than on Little Sister.

Little Sister is still stacking nicely and getting frostier every day. I've spotted the first cloudy trichomes on both plants now. The lower side buds already have a good number of brown pistils, while the top colas are taking their time—but they're getting there too.

I don't think they're going to be finished after another week, which would put them at ten weeks of flower. My feeling is they'll need at least one more week beyond that. That actually works out well, because I need to have everything harvested and wrapped up by then anyway.

Both of my Super Silver Haze × Haze AC phenos have an absolutely delicious aroma. It's hard to describe. Big Mama has a slightly richer, more pungent terpene profile, while Little Sister is a little sweeter. The Silver Haze smells fantastic as well. The classic lemon note is still there, but it's mixed with another aroma that I just can't quite put my finger on. Whatever it is, all three plants smell amazing, and I'm really looking forward to trying them.

Luckily, I still have clones of both Big Mama and Little Sister. I'm definitely planning a second run with them, and it'll be interesting to see how they perform when grown from clones instead of seed.

This summer has been pretty challenging. The heat has been intense at times, and on top of that, the humidity has made things even more difficult. Just the other day it rained almost nonstop, which makes it really hard to get the humidity down—especially during the night. Even though I'm running a dehumidifier, it's still a constant battle. Hopefully, they'll make it to the finish line without any issues.

This male is SSHxAC#7.
He showed more trichomes than the others and smells hazy and minty!



The other males did not show much trichomes, they did smell good but nothing remarkable to me.

The eight SSH x AC young plants are in their new home!
They were planted in a mix of 50% PL All Mix and 50% Light Mix. As is often the case, the soil was enriched with BioTabs Startrex, plus 10 liters of perlite—since relying on automatic irrigation alone won't work throughout the entire flowering stage this time around. The soil was so dry that each SSH x AC plant in its eight-liter pot received an initial watering of 2 liters, mixed with OrgaTrex and Green House Bio Enhancer. Each plant was topped; the cuttings were trimmed and placed in Bio Plugs. Let's see how they fare in this heat—it certainly wiped *me* out.

I've got a question. Is it possible that trichome development is a bit different on Haze varieties, especially Silver Haze or other heavily Haze-dominant strains?

The usual advice is that trichomes go from clear → cloudy → amber, but on my plants I'm still seeing quite a lot of crystal-clear trichomes, while at the same time there are already a fair number of amber ones, with comparatively few cloudy trichomes in between.

Has anyone experienced something similar with Haze genetics,? Just asking for a friend.

I find that it just takes longer until they start turning PennyP (as buds also form later).
The majority of the trichomes appear somewhat later in flowering, this could explain this.
The first trichomes are already turning while most are just formed.
On indica doms you see this on the sugar leaves, these turn faster than the ones on the buds.

Just a thought.

In the last 2 weeks all the 'SSH x AC' tester revealed their gender
It looks like I have 3 beautiful ladies on this run Unfortunately only my favorite 'SSH x AC #3' grew some balls

To give the lower branches more light and air I defoliated the 3 ladies, cleaned their bottoms and turned on the additional LED

Some facts:

The Super Silver Haze × Haze AC clones have been in reveg ever since I took them from the flowering plants, and they're finally back on track.

Little Sister is doing slightly better at the moment, which I'm really happy to see. Big Mama is also making great progress and is just about at the point where she's fully back into vegetative growth.

I've been keeping them under 24 hours of continuous light, and last week I transplanted them into slightly larger pots. After the clones had rooted, they spent some time in 10 × 10 cm pots, and I've now moved them into 13 × 13 cm pots filled with BioBizz All-Mix.

I've also been watering them with Canna Rhizotonic as a root stimulator, and they seem to be responding really well to it. In between, they've been getting Hesi TNT for vegetative growth.

I'm really looking forward to this next run. These two are definitely keepers, and I'll be running both of them again to see how they perform from clone.

So Iam left with two unknown plants.
I had tiped both of these so to slow them down a bit,
and I have two more seeds that cracked just recently,
so were poted in small containers and everything again, I will add them into this tent as quickly as possible to flower them at once


#1 - seems to do well after tiping




#2 - regenerated, but still has some weird things with leafs




Now, In the meantime, please honor both males

#3 - stem rub was full of fruits, nice structure, premature male pods holded me down a bit




#4 - the canopy had quite minty wiff and stem rub is full of fruity bubblegum
I have kept this one as a clone for some future projects

Weekly update.

These SSHxAC cuts grow like weeds.
They are between 30-40cm without the pots and I'm starting to see first signs of being rootbound.
They show vigour that is as good as my SSH cut and she is outstanding.

I will transplant them in their 20L buckets this weekend and will probably go 12/12 the day after.
If I look at how PennyP's have grown this should be the right choice.

Well, I have just checked the plants
#2 looks like female, it is looking good finaly, have some huge leafs. I made two cuts from her.
I will wait just a bit more for #1 to show signs of feminism, as I believe it is female aswell, made two cuts of her too.

Day 1 of flowering (12/12).

11 SSHxAC's and 1 SSH got transplanted in 20L buckets yesterday in Plagron Light Mix with 50ml Bat Guano mixed in at the bottom 1/3.
The repotting was very needed, they showed signs of being rootbound.

They got plain water and today is the first day of flowering.
By mid oktober they shoud be ready (counting 10 weeks), temps will be colder at the end of the grow.

Leds are at 45% now and will go up as the plants grow.

I'm very excited to see how this strain will perform.
