Shit x AfgHz

ShitAfgHz

Showering love,
Heavenly forgiveness.
Infinite realities.
Terra, our home.
Always and forever,
Hallowed ground.

Another subpar poem, by yours truly.

I was lucky enough to snag a straw of Shit x Afghan Haze in the auctions, for a steal I might add 😉. About 1/5 of the seeds cracked open after 24 hours of soaking in tap water. All were moved to a plate with papertowels for another 24 hours while the nursery pots I bleached dried off. By planting, most had small tails. They were then sewn into 3 parts happy frog soil with 1 part worm castings. Within two days all 18/18 had sprouted and broken ground. The first true leaves are already growing on all of the sprouts.

I did end up pulling some plants out of my tent early to start these. The pulled plants were all stunted due to overwatering so I decided to pull them early for bubble hash and free up my tent for some unreleased gems! Hopefully I'll do these plants better justice than the others!

This will be my first time growing both Shit and an AC cross. I haven't even grown a pure or even 1/2 skunk cross yet. I am super excited to experience what these gems have to offer. Thank you @SB For these genetics!

You wonderful people, members of Mr. Nice, have spoken and chose this chemovar as my next grow. Please join me on my ShitAfgHz journey. Let us revel in the ups and downs of our chosen craft. 😁

I was lucky enough to get some of these seeds around 2014, and these were a true gem of a phenohunt. Labelled F21 x M2, I still have some left to sift through and tbh these will be one of the first seeds I will crack on with when i get going again.

If my memory serves me correct, I got a couple of really interesting Raspberry dominant phenos. I have a thread about em Here, although images seem to have disappeared over the years.

Peace

Raspberry, sweetness, 🤤. The only one I've flowered, smells of intense sour fruit candy. More on the sour apple and green grape side, than Raspberry or red fruit.

Any chance you have some more info on the few you flowered? The thread only mentioned that they grew like indicas, which you preffered. I'd say the one gal I've flowered was fairly indica. She certainly had almoat no stretch, and her buds filled in a bit faster than all but one other plant, in the tent. Though, she had far to many tops to judge her flower development, I'm sure I'll have MORE than enopugh larfe from insode the dense canopy, to get me knee deep in hash. Dry sift though, my bubble machine died.

"First down were C and E at 9.5 weeks i think. These were nicknamed Cherry (C) and Ribena (E) both for the smells and the flavours they emanated. Both were dense and had calyxs that looked pregnant with seed. They required very minimal trim as buds swelled to baseball size. Not so sticky, but tight and hard. The smoke was knockout. I mean the only thing to relax the muscles, and ease the mind.

A and F were next down at 10.5 weeks. A lighter looking bud was A, sour smelling fruit, and a dangerous smoke again. Packs a punch, ney a kick, like a mule which is why A has been my favourite so far, and i call the White Donkey.
F is fruitier and darker again with the berry smells and flavours too"

All plants had at least a 100% stretch when flowering was induced. The internodes were never staggered with this breed, instead all inter nodes were parallel, like a seedling or vegetative plant. Bud structure was IDENTICAL, throughout, big round furry golf balls! Some had a bit of a tighter structure, and some were just FLUFFY. I had difficulty in deciding the ripeness of the plants, as some were faster to finish than others, 8 - 12 weeks. Leads me to think that perhaps I may have had a timer issue. I did notice that one plant next to the zip of the tent (which was slightly open for an extra passive intake directly to tops ) did ripen a little faster and am thinking additional airflow to top colas may help this one finish faster. VERY HIGH Calyx-to-Leaf ratio, which required nearly no trimming other than fans. There was practically no sugar trim, coz the buds swelled over and encompassed them. I could only manicure these when breaking down the large buds to smaller ones. Looks wise - 2 distinct phenos, a light lime green indica dominant bud that was tight and light. Very light in colour, and the other a darker version but almost identical in look.

Smells: Mango and banana at harvest when plants still alive. Also the other very distinct smell was a blackberry/ribena/cherry/berries type smell. Like a fresh fruit juice, on both sides, mango and cherry. Or better still a cordial, one that had been diluted if you catch my drift.

Taste: I wish some of the smells came through more in the taste. Unfortunately this wasnt the case with every plant. The cherry and ribena flavours were fantastic, but hints and overtones, not starburst/chewit in your mouth. The mango flavours do definitely come through, and strongly.

Been over 10 years since I started that thread, but i still have that sweet berry taste in my mouth.

Ugh😩. I just snapped the fucking stem of my ShitAfgHz mother, I revegged. I taped her up and took cuttings to try and clone her if the bandage doesn't work.

I'm trimming up the flowered plant, at this very moment. Her flowers smell sooo good! She has been drying for like, three weeks. She smells like Sweet Tarts! Should be a good smoke.

God, I can't believe that I snapped the stem of another mum 😬😮‍💨😔. Here's to hoping that the cuttings take, or the bandage works.

She's only been in the jar for two days and already the aroma is morphing. The entirety of flowering and while hanging she reeked of Sweet Tarts. The Sweet Tarts now has a mixture of woody, papaya, and meaty notes intermingled within it. Could be a long term storage strain. 😻
