Onward Through the Haze

Aloha fellow firewalkers!

8 weeks in and it's been a hella ride this past few days. Turned on my treadmill 2 days ago and blew the circuit in the grow room. Ran an extension cord to the kitchen and blew a circuit there too. Got out my trusty outlet pen, batteries dead. Got our my voltmeter and battery was so corroded the meter was s*t, had to buy another one. Breaker finally gave me power to the kitchen. Time to replace a few more outlet/receptacles in the grow room as looks like I have a neutral loose somewhere. Which one? I should have it fixed today 🤞
This morning finds lots of plants with mature seeds. Before seeds spill to the floor, time to cut off these branches and get them dried out- so that's one of my projects for today 🙂

Sorry to hear about those electrical problems! Get that loose neutral fixed ASAP. Don't know if you are on Daylight Savings Time, we are, and I use those 2 days each year to change or at least check all my battery stuff. Eliminates a lot of the corrosion issues.

Better safe than sorry. So the one plug I did not check for a loose neutral was the one I didn't change. It was upline. Fortuitous to hire the experts. They rewired the offending receptacle and several others that were hindered somewhat. One receptacle was melted and fused behind the cover but still worked . I addition, I learned that 2 rooms ran off the same circuit and half the wires were 14 gauge while the others were 12 gauge, basically a 15 amp setup running through a 20 amp breaker so explans melted wiring without tripping the breaker. Good to know. $200 for safety and easy mind. My wish is that you know your safety limits. I now know mine!
