Onward Through the Haze

Aloha fellow firewalkers!

3 weeks flower as of yesterday and the hormonal surge is quite evident; growth has been unstoppable.
A pair of Holy Hanh. 132cm.

Narrow leaves and long side branching gives a good idea of derivation. Hanh

The unknown sativa? She is filling out nicely. Shorter side branching reminding me of the Doors but her beauty seems a bit more refined. She's gotta have some NH in her. I wish I could correctly identify the parents. She is an enigma, I will call her Harpocrates!

Speaking of unstoppable, the Neville's was below the light just 2 days ago. Now 178cm. Time for some training lol.

Aloha fellow firewalkers!

Here is the NH7f1 before I LST'd her. Close to 212cm, I would have preferred her standing straight up than to bend her over ;) but that would have resulted in the light being too far from the other sats. That wouldn't be fair to them now would it lol? Besides it's nice to redistribute hormones along the horizontal plane bringing more of the stem closer to the light yielding more "tops." I did spot her with some Holy Hanh "yellow" on the lowers. Let's she if she'll give me some seed.

Aloha fellow firewalkers!

The NH is responding to the bend with all the main stem buds now looking upward. Of interest, the 2 beside it are the unknown and NL5/Hz #2. Notice the similarities? I'm still convinced the unknown is a Doors derivative. She does have an uncanny resemblance to the NL5/Hz. Either she is a lost NL5/Hz seed or she is the NL5/Hz in a beefier version i.e. The Doors with that big tell-tell dome top. Time will tell.
The Holy Hanhs (NH/AC x Lieu Hanh) are coming along nicely. Skinnier plants that I keep checking on for herms as VB is known to throw them. At least that was my experience the last time I grew it. I did not pollinate these Hanh as there were only 2 females. I did manage to throw some Hanh pollen on my NH7. If the Hanhs come out good then I will do a larger grow in the future. I do have some pollen saved and hope it is still viable when I get around to using it.

Awesome work as always Mu! So great to watch a master in action 😃

When I used to grow sativas, I used to train and vine them along the garden so they stayed about 50cm off the ground. My friends used to walk straight past them and had no idea until pointed them out hahaha. I had a Malawi that stretched for nearly 3 meters along the ground and all her heads were about 30cm tall 😃

This plant reminded me a Australian strain called old mother Sativa. She get huge I see also similarities with original Kalamata strain. Will be interesting see them outdoors how they will grow and look.

As already said excellent work from a master grower💪👌👏

Aloha fellow firewalkers!

A master I am not but I appreciate your kindnesses. I'm always forgetting stuff and re-learning the same stuff over again, and in between trying to learn new stuff if you know what I mean. And still wrestling with the LEDs a year later. But let's get to the task at Hanh  shall we?

Seriously though, I'm observing differences. I am sure you will too. 5 weeks in and they are both similar in height. Differences in bud shape and stacking are different though. And than there is that single leaflet look, the proximity of flowers, the swelling of a massive single large cola in the last weeks... I'm in love, I'm all shook up!

Here are my 2 Hanhs, ha there I go again! I have my fav-o-rite so far, how about you?

Masters are always Humble🙏

Hanh looks very pretty .

What are the strangles you face with the led lights? I see you use HLG 350 with Diablo boards
In my understanding what can go wrong with the Hlg some models they luck blue spectrum and this causes some kind of stress at the beginning of the flowering. The light is to intense I would say they are more designed for a bit later in the flowering cycle.
I hope this help English is not my first language .

HLG 150 Patriot has blue mix and the 100 Rs has also (the 100 is for very small areas) or pure blue choices are many.

I’ll bet that was a cool sight eh. Can I assume you no longer grow sativas. If not, why not?

Oh it was awesome Mu, I got so much enjoyment out of training that plant and the fact no one knew it was there was even better!
I can no longer grow sativas as I moved as far south in the continent as I could lol. We have the daylight hours but not the warmth to finish them.

I'm going to attempt growing some pure Hawaiian sativa in the tent very soon on 12/12 from seed with some Northern lights. Trying to work out how long it will take for them to show sex is a little painful though haha

I think that after 5 to 7weeks of 12 12 from seed for the pure sativa. 🤔

I can see you are paying attention brah! 🤘 I'm inclined to suspect an f1 Back Door Man. I can see the Doors in the columnar growth, hirsute bud shape, somewhat longer petioles. She is similar in height also. I can see the Nev's in the pigmented stems, the slimmer, softer leaf edges, more focused buds. And a curly variation of that long haired Doors in this girl. Time will confirm. But imagine two supreme MNS genetic lines- I have enough BDM seed to last me a lifetime. Here's a Doors pic for comparison.
