Onward Through the Haze

Aloha fellow firewalkers!

Well, look what I found on the floor this morning. Over 6 weeks since pollination and they are bursting forth.

First ever- Holy Hanh Grail seeds

So, I am in the process of cutting off the seeded lower branches as seeds are mature now. They'll be placed in an open box to dry and harden up before I bottle them up and freeze them.

Adhering like very tacky glue smelling of vanilla cinnamon and at times Simoniz floor wax. I had to use oil to get it off. Early smoke is racy and psychoactive. Get a load of those long and very sticky thingies!

This is what came from a gentle shake. I have a good start for a new project!

❤️ painting the lowers and yielding the uppers 👍
Do you freeze all your seeds and just thaw the chosen ones before germinating?

Ya love to see it 🤩😍😛🥲

Yep, I store seeds in the freezer. I pull out what I need.

If you don't mind me asking Mu, what do you store them in? Just in baggies or are they in something that stops the moisture getting in? I've always stored mine in the fridge but there are some I'd like to store for longer but I've always been scared to put them in the freezer! Thanks mate!

Aloha braddahs! Time for a revisit to memory lane.
Hi All

well since I just sent some seed recently to a chap from 2002 stock that had been kept in a fridge all its life...and had very good germination levels I believe the methods of long term storage are as follows....

1. We keep 2 stocks of seeds, i for the everyday use and 1 for long term use.
2. Long term use means vacuum sealing the seed in small quantities in an air tight , moisture resistant plastic bag and kept in the freezer.
3. Short term use is keeping seeds dry in air tight containers, always put back in fridge when not in use.
4. Point about long term stock you cannot defreeze seed only one time and then keep it is the fridge stock, till it is used.

We have seeds from 30 or 40 years ago still in fridges and even if germination is lower it still pops up a few ...so it all works for us.

Be well all the best sb

Great stuff braddahs! Moisture and oxygen. I use mason jars, a dessicant, and then vacuum seal. Vacuum seal seed packs, put in mason jar with dessicant, then vacuum seal jar. Out here don’t always have electricity to power the food saver though. So IME, one of the cheapest, simplest and best vacuum sealers to use that requires no electricity is the Pump-N-Seal. It is a simple mechanical vacuum pump. In a pinch, I’ve used it in making BHO too.
10 years plus still getting close to 95% germ. Starting with good viable seed is critical. Use fresh seed. Another reason to buy from the source if you catch my drift.

Cool runnin

In the freezer, I also use small amber vials with a little rice in them, put in larger mason pint jar with rice in it and they seem to keep pretty good that way. I use these first then go into the vacuum packed stuff.

That's great info Mu, thank you so much bruddah! Looks like I have a job to do in the next few weeks with some seeds 💪

Aloha Haka Warriors!

Here's a piece of the the lowest branch, in fact the lowest scruff of a bud. Just gently holding it to cut it off from the branch has left my fingers extra sticky. I was surprised at the viscosity. I threw a piece of this in a pipe, one toke and I was racing. Checked my HR as I was feeeling tachacardic but was only at 70 lol. Anyway, I'm looking forward to this for sure.
